Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 1324: Chapter 1339: Provoking Huo’s Wrath (14)

Shen Mubai, ”...”

Huo Jinnan hung up the phone, and Shen Mubai quickly announced that the old man’s resuscitation was unsuccessful and he had died.

Jin Bo suppressed the news, preventing it from appearing in the papers or making the news.

Huo Jinnan immediately called Gu Yunping, ”Mr. Gu, your ex-wife’s task is complete, her grandfather has passed away.”

Gu Yunping listened, thinking about the old man who had always been so invincible—

Really couldn’t believe he just passed like that, it was too unreal!

”What did Huo Jinyun do?”

Huo Jinnan, ”I’m not at liberty to say, but if you’re really curious, you can call Miss Huo yourself and ask.”

Gu Yunping confirmed again, ”Huo Chengshan is really dead?”

Huo Jinnan laughed in Louise’s voice, ”Does Mr. Gu suddenly not want him dead?”

Gu Yunping thought the original plan wasn’t like this, ”Remember to report to me before the next action.”

Huo Jinnan, ”It was an impromptu move, haha.”

Gu Yunping ”mm”ed, looked up and suddenly saw Gu Jizhou standing at the door, his eyes gloomily fixed on him.

”Jizhou...”

Gu Jizhou walked over, his eyes cold and staring at Gu Yunping, ”Who was that on the phone just now?”

Gu Yunping, ”Jizhou, you don’t need to worry about it—”

Gu Jizhou stood there and kicked over the coffee table, ”What’s happened to my great-grandfather?”

Gu Yunping turned to look at Gu Jizhou, ”Jizhou, what do you mean?”

Gu Jizhou, with eyes blood-red, stared at Gu Yunping, his voice repressed with anger, ”What exactly did you do to him?!”

Gu Yunping hung up Huo Jinnan’s call, looked at Gu Jizhou, and remained silent.

Really didn’t expect Jizhou, at this point, to still have feelings for that old thing Huo Chengshan!

Gu Jizhou watched Gu Yunping, the place around his jaw tightened from clenching too hard.

After a while, he looked away, his gaze darkening, went to the adjacent room, slammed the door heavily, and started packing his things.

Gu Yunping listened to the deafening echoes from the room, eventually went over, pushed the door open, and saw Gu Jizhou packing clothes, ”Jizhou, what are you trying to do?”

Gu Jizhou faced away from Gu Yunping, his voice indifferent, ”Going back to Hong Kong.”

Gu Yunping reached out to grab Gu Jizhou, ”Jizhou, don’t be reckless! Do you know what’s waiting for you back there?”

Gu Jizhou shook him off, ”That’s still better than staying here!”

He turned to look at Gu Yunping, a sarcastic smile on his lips.

Gu Yunping watched, took a deep breath, ”We’ll go back after a while, by then—”

Gu Jizhou laughed ”ha—”, looked at Gu Yunping and suddenly found him irritating, squinting slightly, ”Only today do I realize I’d rather be an orphan!”

”Pa—”

Gu Yunping slapped Gu Jizhou harshly on the face, ”What did you say?”

Gu Jizhou glared at Gu Yunping, ”I’d rather be an orphan!”

As soon as he finished speaking, he stopped packing, picked up his wallet and phone from the side, and left the room.

”Jizhou—”

Gu Yunping chased him out.

Outside the hotel, Gu Jizhou stopped a taxi, got in, shut the door forcefully, picked up the phone and called Huo Jinnan, ”I want to return to Hong Kong, get me a plane ticket, I heard I’ve been restricted from entering, help me lift that.”

Huo Jinnan thought of the scene he just heard over the phone, lit a cigarette, tapping lightly on the cigarette with his finger, ”Okay.”

Gu Jizhou took a difficult breath, ”My great-grandfather... how is he?”
