Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Jin Bo sat there, one hand as a fist and the other as a palm, rubbing his knuckles in his palm, eagerly anticipating the splendid reaction from his grandfather upon seeing his face!

His gaze fell on the phone, he picked it up, ”Assistant Fang, when is my first press conference scheduled?”

Hearing it was on October 15th, he flipped through the calendar and said, ”Push it back a bit.”

Fang Zheng, ”...”

Jin Bo glanced through the calendar again, stopping at October 23rd, the Frost’s Descent, suitable for hunting and capturing, his gaze lingered for a few seconds, ”Reschedule it for the 23rd.”

Fang Zheng, ”...”

Jin Bo’s voice was chillingly cold, ”Remember to invite General Huo Chengshan.”

”...”

Fang Zheng was even more perplexed, what was this about now?

Jin Bo hung up the phone, stood up, walked to the window, and looked out at Hong Kong. He had just lit a cigarette when he suddenly heard some noise at the door, his voice raspy, ”Assistant Fang, didn’t I tell you to knock before entering?”

As soon as he finished speaking, there was no response.

His eyebrows furrowed, turning around, he saw the battalion commander at that moment, his gaze frozen.

The battalion commander timidly observed for a while, step by step, as before, swept his pant leg with its tail, biting gently.

Jin Bo saw how it had slimmed down, and his stern features gradually softened.

The battalion commander moved closer.

Jin Bo watched its demeanor, knowing it feared he might not recognize it again, he squatted down, his hand landing on the back of the battalion commander, stroking from the neck down to the base of the tail.

The battalion commander stood there dumbfounded, looking up at Jin Bo with wide eyes.

Jin Bo clearly saw tears in the battalion commander’s eyes.

His eyes darkened and unclear, he took a deep drag of his cigarette, ”Battalion Commander, if you come to my side, you can’t go back. Are you willing?”

The battalion commander nodded!

It knew Huanhuan was going to have little babies!

Jin Bo’s thin lips tightened, sharp as a blade, ”Good.”

The battalion commander, joyous like a child, placed its front paws on Jin Bo’s shoulders, affectionately licking his shoulder.

Jin Bo stroked the battalion commander’s back again and picked it up, ”Seven years, you’ve grown a lot.”

The battalion commander whimpered.

Jin Bo sat down in the office chair, picked up the phone, ”Assistant Fang, go buy a bag of dog food.”

”What kind?”

”The imported one, the most expensive brand.”

...

Half an hour later, Fang Zheng brought the dog food into the mayor’s office, and upon seeing the battalion commander, he couldn’t help but exclaim, ”This is Huo...”

Jin Bo lifted his gaze, his eyes sharp as blades, looking toward Fang Zheng, ”Huo what?”

Fang Zheng took a closer look, though it resembled, it seemed not to be, Mr. Huo’s blackback was much sturdier, this one seemed too thin.

”I meant this blackback looks a bit like Mr. Huo’s.”

Jin Bo, ”Saw it that day, felt the blackback was quite spirited, asked someone to buy one at the dog market.”

He looked down at the battalion commander.

Jin Bo’s raspy voice spoke out, ”After work, take a trip to the pet grooming store.”

Nanyuan Villa

Uncle Lu looked at Huo Jinnan, ”Sir, the battalion commander is gone.”

Huo Jinnan lifted his gaze to Uncle Lu, lit a cigarette, took a puff, ”When did it happen?”

Uncle Lu, ”Didn’t see it since I got up this morning, must have gone out in the middle of the night.”

Huo Jinnan’s brows tightened, he made a call to Qin Shaonan, ”I’m not convenient to come forward, help me check the battalion commander’s whereabouts from last night to today.”

The next day, there was news.

Qin Shaonan, ”Brother Huo, can’t find any clues. None of Hong Kong’s surveillance cameras caught a glimpse of the battalion commander.”
