Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Hearing the man’s deep and muffled voice, Che Huan’s attempt to dodge was too late, as she was embraced by his arm and pulled up to stand.

Immediately after, her body was pushed against the door!

”A wall thud, do you remember now?”

Huo Jinnan gazed at Che Huan, his eyes growing increasingly dark and obscure.

”...”

Che Huan was silent.

Huo Jinnan locked eyes with Che Huan, ”I didn’t hear you clearly last night, say it again.”

”...!”

Che Huan was mortified o(╯□╰)o!

”Not saying it?”

Huo Jinnan’s long finger rested on Che Huan’s lips, rubbing heavily across them, pausing at the corner of her mouth, gently pressing back and forth.

Che Huan stood there, her body trembling lightly as if she had been electrocuted.

Huo Jinnan watched her reaction with satisfaction, ”Not saying it?”

Che Huan bit her lip, reasoning that they had already slept together, she might as well throw caution to the wind!

She smiled charmingly, ”I don’t know what a wall thud is, why don’t you tell me?”

Huo Jinnan’s gaze dropped as he looked at Che Huan for a while, then suddenly leaned in and pressed her hard against him.

With a ”thud,” Che Huan’s back hit the door solidly.

Che Huan exclaimed in surprise, and Huo Jinnan lowered his head, his thin lips stopping millimeters from hers, his breath teasingly sweeping over her face, ”It’s when a guy corners a girl against the wall, with one hand against the wall making a ’thud’ sound...”

Is that... what she said last night?

”I never realized, you know so much,” Huo Jinnan said, coming closer, his thin lips almost touching hers.

Che Huan swallowed hard, and just as she was about to speak, she moved her lips and felt them brush against his, experiencing a fleeting, electric shock, ”Mr. Huo must know more than I do, right?”

”Last night, that’s not what you called me.”

Huo Jinnan tightened his hold on Che Huan’s waist, the dark vortex of his pupils seemingly bottomless.

Che Huan struggled to recall, not knowing what she had called him last night!

Huo Jinnan stared at Che Huan for a while, and thinking of geoducks, his brow furrowed tightly, ”Have you seen geoducks?”

Geoducks?

Why is he bringing that up again?

Heavens, what did she actually do last night?

Che Huan widened her eyes, staring at Huo Jinnan, could her drink tolerance be that bad.

Huo Jinnan kept his gaze on Che Huan, silent, just watching.

Che Huan felt chills run down her spine under his gaze, holding her breath, even breathing seemed difficult.

It was only when the voice of the little guy came from outside the door that Huo Jinnan finally moved away.

”Huo Jinnan, are you still going to have breakfast, or not? I’m starving to death!”

The little one voiced his resentment and knocked forcefully on the door.

Huo Jinnan did not open the door, ”You eat first.”

”Then I don’t care about you anymore!”

The little one pursed his lips and walked towards the direction of the stair door, his slippers going ”clip-clop” as he went.

As the footsteps of the little one faded away, Huo Jinnan glanced at Che Huan and moved to the bedside, sitting down, lighting a cigarette but not smoking it, just holding it between his fingers and staring.

Che Huan then realized he was angry!

After watching for a while, she walked over, bit her lip, and sat down next to Huo Jinnan.

Huo Jinnan did not look at her or speak.

Che Huan bit her lip again and moved closer to his side.

Huo Jinnan glanced sideways at Che Huan.

Che Huan smiled at Huo Jinnan, ”I didn’t mean to keep it from you, I was just afraid they wouldn’t give Auntie Zhong a heart.”

Huo Jinnan sat there, unmoved.

Che Huan glanced at his expression, rubbed her somewhat swollen temples and thought about her cancer diagnosis, why not live selfishly and make the most of her remaining days? She stirred up her courage, and suddenly reached out to hug Huo Jinnan’s neck, ”Jinnan...”
