The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 147: Chapter 20: Prestigious Families

Tang Wanwan indeed found Tianmiao at the usual spot. Tianmiao was lying on the deck chair as always, leisurely swaying with her eyes closed.

”Sister Tian.” Tang Wanwan ran over, sat next to Tianmiao, and widened her eyes at the pudding and small cakes on the table. ”Wow, Sister Tian, are these from that Great Hero Wang’s dessert shop? Can I eat them?”

”Eat, I saved them for you.” Tianmiao didn’t even open her eyes, reaching out for a glass of juice on the table and sipping it.

”Sister Tian, how did you get them? That Great Hero Wang only sells fifty puddings and fifty small cakes a day, and the flavors depend on his mood that day. If he’s in a bad mood, he makes flavors like durian; if he’s in a good mood, he makes flavors like strawberry. His skills and temper are proportional; the more delicious the stuff, the worse his temper, and the bigger his ego. No amount of money can make him cook more, and if you dare to cut in line, you’ll immediately be blacklisted in his little book. His stuff is super hard to buy.” Tang Wanwan marveled as she ate, then happily squinted her eyes. ”Wow, today’s mango-flavored, it’s really delicious.”

”Is that so? Is he very ill-tempered?” Tianmiao remembered Dong Xiao saying that she gave the shopkeeper of Great Hero Wang’s dessert shop a Secret Martial Arts Manual. The shopkeeper was moved to tears and said he’d make whatever they wanted from then on. This famous dessert shop was named Great Hero Wang because the shopkeeper’s family name was Wang, and his ancestors used to be Great Heroes roaming the rivers and lakes, something he’s obsessed with.

But in this age, how many true martial artists are left? Dong Xiao’s Secret Martial Arts Manual was brought out from a small martial arts world. As they say, insiders see the insights; the shopkeeper of Great Hero Wang immediately recognized the extraordinary nature of the manual. Treasuring it dearly, he reciprocated by making whatever desserts Dong Xiao wanted.

”Yes, indeed, he’s very ill-tempered. Whenever I want to eat, I have someone queue early in the morning.” Tang Wanwan began eating the small cake, her face showing pure bliss.

Tianmiao smiled slightly, ”If you want to eat anything from that shop, just tell Dong Xiao. He’ll bring it to you. Anytime.”

Tang Wanwan puffed her cheeks, her eyes wide in disbelief at Tianmiao, ”Really?”

”Really, eat slowly. No one’s going to take it away from you. If you want more, tell Dong Xiao.” Tianmiao looked at Tang Wanwan’s hamster-like demeanor and couldn’t help but want to laugh.

”Alright, alright.” Tang Wanwan swallowed the cake in her mouth, nodded happily, then asked, ”Sister Tian, is there a special place you want to visit? How about tropical sunbathing, surfing? Or should we go skiing?”

”Let’s go skiing then, Little Kong Hou has never skied before.” Tianmiao heard the joyful screams of Little Kong Hou in the distance and made the decision. When it comes to the sea, Kong Hou has lost all interest.

”Great, shall we set out tomorrow? I’ll have someone prepare.” Tang Wanwan stood up excitedly, ”Oh, right, I’ll go find Dong Xiao and have him reserve some cakes. Sister Tian, you’re amazing, love you to bits.” Tang Wanwan said as she blew a kiss to Tianmiao and then ran to the back garden to find Dong Xiao.

Yan Bin, knowing they were going skiing, couldn’t sit still anymore. He packed away his manuscript and decided to go along.

In the corridor outside the study, Yan Bin blocked Tang Wanwan’s way.

”Stay home and paint well, why are you tagging along?” Tang Wanwan shot Yan Bin a sidelong glance.

”How could I not? Staying at home gives me no inspiration. I have to go; I’m searching for inspiration, don’t you get it?” Yan Bin glared at Tang Wanwan, ”Are you my friend? If you’re my friend, take me with you. If you don’t, I’ll just jump off the building.”
