Delta is Coming, Big Red Has Special Effects

464: Do we...know each other?Faced with Fuji’s sudden reaction, Liu Yan and the others were completely bewildered.

But seeing the changes occurring in Fuji’s body, Liu Yan and Geheros still subconsciously shielded the two of them behind their backs.

Yet, it was this subtle action. Upon seeing Liu Yan raise his hand to shield Jacob and the others behind him, Fuji’s eyes gradually turned red.

But compared to them, the one with the most intense reaction was Future Jacob, who was standing beside Fuji. He rushed forward almost without thinking and grabbed Fuji to stop him.

What a joke. Future Jacob knew Liu Yan’s plan better than anyone. Even the Liu Yan standing in front of him didn’t understand his own plan as well as Future Jacob did.

Although Jacob himself had no idea how his counterpart in this world had ended up getting mixed up with Liu Yan.

But regardless of anything else, if the people currently by Liu Yan’s side died, it would definitely not be a good thing. And as for Fuji... Future Jacob was one hundred percent certain that Liu Yan, no matter what, could absolutely not face the current Fuji.

If Fuji was determined to act, no one present could stop him. All the top-tier technology that had half-stepped into a God-level civilization was now almost entirely concentrated within Fuji.

After being pulled by Future Jacob, Fuji’s face was full of astonishment and disbelief. He turned his head mechanically and looked at Future Jacob. ”You... are you... protecting him now?”

The simple words poured into Future Jacob’s ears, and his hair instantly stood on end! ”No... that’s not it!” ”Damn it...”

Future Jacob felt like a mute eating bitter herbs at this moment. He didn’t know how to explain it to Fuji. If he told Fuji now that he absolutely could not kill Liu Yan, wouldn’t that just confirm that he really was involved with Liu Yan?

But how the hell was he involved with Liu Yan? They had absolutely no relationship! But if Fuji killed Liu Yan, wouldn’t that play right into his hands and help Liu Yan collect the tear of the ocean?

From the current situation, although it was hard to understand, Asara, GTI, Hafke, and Liu Yan—these four groups were standing together, chatting and laughing. In other words, if Liu Yan was just left alone now, the tear of the ocean could not be collected!

”I’m not protecting him, but you can’t...” Jacob stopped halfway, freezing in place again. How was he supposed to say it? You can’t kill Liu Yan, but why not?

Was he supposed to tell Fuji that this was all Liu Yan’s plan? That Liu Yan hadn’t betrayed them, but was trying to find a way to lead them all to victory? Should he tell Fuji that this world was fake?

If he realized Liu Yan’s good intentions, would Fuji play the villain to the end and help Liu Yan collect the energy of the tear of the ocean, or would he help him and stand idly by, preventing Liu Yan from collecting the energy of the tear of the ocean?

At this moment, Jacob felt like he couldn’t breathe. He never expected that in a game he was sure to win, Fuji would actually be the critical variable...

”Fuji... listen to me first...” Jacob hurriedly pulled Fuji to his side. After getting close to Fuji’s ear, Jacob was about to speak, but then he remembered Liu Yan’s hearing... ”Meiling, please help me block the sound!” As the words fell, the voices of Jacob and Fuji were instantly isolated.

On the other side. On the steps, Liu Yan and the others frowned, watching this bizarre scene. ”What do you say? Should we make a move?” Liu Yan glanced at Geheros. The latter narrowed his eyes and took out his gun from his quantum storage. ”I think... they come with ill intent...”

The Jacob of the original world walked slowly to stand behind Liu Yan. ”There’s something extremely wrong... I saw Demulan...” ”And... Romisius...”

Liu Yan turned his head and glanced at Jacob, saying in a slightly strange tone: ”I’m going to say something you won’t even believe yourself.” ”That... is you...”

Liu Yan raised his hand and pointed at Future Jacob, who was whispering to Fuji. Seeing this, the Jacob of the original world’s pupils constricted sharply, and he frowned tightly, looking at his future self, then at Liu Yan. ”Really? What kind of joke is this? Do I look like that?”

It was no wonder the Jacob of the original world had such a reaction. In terms of appearance, the other person was worlds apart from him. Liu Yan nodded solemnly. ”Don’t forget...” ”I can see names...” ”Beside him, it says, Jacob Havoc...”

Upon hearing this, the Jacob of the original world couldn’t help but clutch his head, his eyes widening. Kai Silva and the others nearby also heard their conversation. Their reactions were almost identical to Jacob’s. ”Holy crap! What the hell is going on?”

Compared to them, the visual impact on Demulan was the most intense. She looked exactly the same as the version of herself in front of her, not a single difference! As the two met eyes, they both saw strangeness in the other’s gaze. This feeling of looking at oneself face-to-face was completely different from looking in a mirror.

Just as the people outside were confused, Future Jacob, whose sound was isolated, felt like his brain was about to burn out. ”Fuji, listen to me first. This is the world of the past...” ”We came from the future. No matter what we do, we have to be careful. If we’re even a little careless, it will affect the future, you know?” ”The fact that we appeared here and ran into them is already very inappropriate!” ”The most urgent task now is to subdue them first and erase their memories!”

After Jacob finished speaking, Fuji looked at him expressionlessly: ”For me, the most important thing right now...” ”Is I want to know, did you know Liu Yan from the very beginning?” ”How is that possible! I didn’t know him at all before!” After Jacob finished speaking, Fuji slowly raised his finger to point in Liu Yan’s direction, ”Then tell me, what is this about?” ”We traveled through time to get here, and isn’t this exactly everything that happened in the past?” ”I! I...” Jacob was speechless.

”I see...” Fuji said softly. ”Since you say your past self didn’t know him, there is only one possibility?” ”The current him is from the same world as us?” Speaking of this, the expression on Fuji’s face softened a little, and most of his hostility toward Liu Yan disappeared.

If that was the case, Liu Yan hadn’t abandoned him and the others. Instead, he had gone back to the very beginning, wanting to solve everything at the root? So... had he been misunderstanding him all along? In an instant, Fuji even felt a trace of guilt toward Liu Yan. He understood this feeling better than anyone. Because what he was facing was exactly this kind of distortion and misunderstanding.

Hearing Fuji say this, Jacob’s pupils constricted again. It wouldn’t work to have Fuji stand on the opposite side of Liu Yan. It also wouldn’t work to let Fuji know what Liu Yan had done. ”This... sigh...” ”I’m not clear on the specifics either. Let’s clear their memories first, and then we can discuss it at length, okay?”

At this moment, Jacob had only one thought in his mind. That was to get Fuji away first. Then, leave some time to think carefully about how to explain it to him. Although he could cut off the usage rights of all of Fuji’s technological weapons, doing so would mean turning against Fuji. Who would pilot the Time Shuttle then?

”Since you can’t explain it clearly, I’ll ask him myself.” ”Meiling, turn off the sound isolation.” ”Very well, Mr. Fuji.” After the sound isolation disappeared, Fuji looked at Liu Yan again. He pondered for a moment, then tentatively asked: ”Liu Yan, how long have you been here?”

Hearing this question, Liu Yan frowned slightly. ”Do... we know each other?” The moment the words fell, Future Jacob’s suspended heart completely died. And for Fuji, the last trace of expectation in his heart also vanished.

His appearance hadn’t changed at all, yet Liu Yan didn’t recognize him. There was only one possibility. Liu Yan had not traveled from the future. Liu Yan had lied to him. In an instant, all the grievances of the past ten years, the misunderstanding of Zhao Chuang and the others, all turned into a sigh at this moment. ”Fine...”
