Delta is Coming, Big Red Has Special Effects

80: Combo skills! The number of people entering the Top Secret Area was even fewer than Liu Yan had imagined.

It wasn’t until the afternoon in the outside world that the full complement of Bakshi’s Top Secret personnel was finally assembled.

But for Liu Yan and his two companions, stepping through the entrance meant they were already on an airplane.

Landing at the main gate of Bakshi, Fuji quickly rushed to the door to swipe his card.

After prolonged combat, the two were no longer at their previous skill level, and their awareness had also improved.

Many times, they already knew what to do without Liu Yan’s direct command.

”Identity verified. Babel Tower welcomes you.”

No matter how many times, Liu Yan still found it magical, yet also logical.

The room card for the Third District had no usage restrictions.

”Which side first?” Fuji asked while opening a mandel brick.

”The Medical Zone first.” Liu Yan was also quickly putting on his equipment.

After gearing up, the three ran to the Medical Zone at top speed and set up their weapons.

Upon reaching the entrance of the Medical Zone, the people outside clearly heard their footsteps.

”Brothers inside, can we split the loot inside evenly?”

The voice from outside Babel Tower’s side entrance reached Liu Yan and his two companions.

The three exchanged glances.

This was the first time they had encountered active communication within an operational area.

It made sense, as even if it was confidential, it was only about after-effects, but here, they were truly risking their lives.

If they could avoid a fight, it was certainly better to do so.

”If you really don’t want to fight, then don’t enter the Tower,” Liu Yan shouted towards the door.

After shouting, Liu Yan subtly changed his weapon setup position.

Seeing no response from behind the door, Liu Yan understood that the other party did not intend to give up the supplies within Babel Tower.

Furthermore, compared to inside the Tower, the complex environment outside the Tower was even more dangerous.

Liu Yan looked at Fuji and the other man, making a gesture.

Whoosh—

The side door opened.

Of the three enemies, two were peeking around the door frame.

The other was using the low wall at the edge of the stairs, standing at the back edge, minimizing the exposed body parts.

The three were on completely different firing lines, and their coordination was clearly not on the same level as the enemies from the previous confidential area.

Bang bang bang bang—!!!

As soon as the door opened, the three simultaneously fired pre-emptive shots at positions where weapons might be set up inside.

However, nothing happened; Liu Yan and his companions were not at the usual spots.

But on the stairs, a shield stood conspicuously in place.

Bang bang bang bang bang—!!!

The three simultaneously fired at the observation window.

However, just then, the shield was raised slightly, just enough for the bullets to hit it.

And as the shield went up, beneath Zhao Chuang’s crotch, the m250 general-purpose machine gun, with its bipod already set up, was revealed!

Fuji lay under Zhao Chuang’s crotch and pulled the trigger of the M250.

Boom boom boom boom boom—!!!

The powerful suppressive fire successfully eliminated two people.

”No more fighting! Spare my life! You can search their belongings, I won’t ambush you when I come back!” The sole remaining person, seeing the situation was dire, shouted while decisively turning and running down the stairs.

Whoosh—!!!

A figure instantly shot out from inside Babel Tower’s side entrance.

From high up, Liu Yan raised his weapon, aimed at the enemy’s head, and fired three shots.

This was Liu Yan’s first active, truly meaningful kill.

But Liu Yan did not soften his heart because of it; he had already given them a chance.

If the three had chosen to leave Babel Tower, Liu Yan would not have pursued them, and during evacuation, Liu Yan and his two companions could have entered a weapon.

This way, they could evacuate safely without indiscriminate killing.

But the other party did not choose to leave, meaning they were prepared for a fight to the death.

Fuji crawled out from under Zhao Chuang’s crotch, reloading and saying proudly:

”Top Secret isn’t that hard, is it?”

”No, Brother Ji, you’ve gotten stronger,” Zhao Chuang said seriously.

After nearly a month of being together, Zhao Chuang had also become more articulate.

”Low-key, low-key, it’s all thanks to our passionate combo!” Fuji bumped Zhao Chuang’s chest with a fist.

Liu Yan, standing by the stairs, did not join their conversation but looked down at the bodies.

After the three bodies died, they never turned into Pseudo-humans.

”Is this why Top Secret doesn’t revive...?” Liu Yan murmured softly, looking down.

Liu Yan turned over a body and saw the dog tag on its back.

Unlike the dog tags in the confidential area, this one had many small, dense characters.

”A luckless warrior has fallen.”

”On July 10, 2025, at 16:23:21, Liu Yan eliminated Zhao Dabao with an AS VAL assault rifle during the Bakshi Top Secret operation.”

It was similar to the in-game dog tags he remembered.

Liu Yan pocketed the dog tag and spoke to upstairs:

”Collect their two dog tags.”

In the confidential area, Liu Yan usually wouldn’t do this, but here, there were too many details on the dog tags.

For later enemies, this was all solid information.

Bang bang bang bang—!!!

Before Fuji and the other man could search for the dog tags, gunfire erupted from behind Zhao Chuang.

Fortunately, Zhao Chuang had placed his shield behind him while organizing his backpack.

Bang bang bang—!!!

Seeing the shield, the enemy instantly raised their weapon, aiming for Zhao Chuang’s head.

But their Level 5 bullets had no effect whatsoever against Zhao Chuang’s Level 6 helmet.

”Watch out!” Liu Yan shouted upstairs, his eyes wide.

Liu Yan, standing by the stairs, quickly pulled out a tiger squat cannon, found an angle, and fired it at the side door wall.

This angle could hit the corner, which was where the shot that just hit Zhao Chuang came from.

Liu Yan knew there were two sets of footsteps in the Ocean Zone slowly moving towards them.

But he had not heard this person’s footsteps at all.

Seeing such a disparity in equipment, the enemy, who had intended to shoot Zhao Chuang’s leg, found the tiger squat cannon already landing at their feet.

Upon seeing this, the enemy quickly turned, intending to flee.

Zhao Chuang, by this time, had also reacted, got up, and pursued; as he passed the corner, he saw the person’s back.

Just as the silhouette was about to disappear around another corner—

Whoosh—!!!

The grappling hook hit.

The enemy’s reaction speed was not slow; they quickly pulled out a knife, ready to cut the rope.

But Zhao Chuang never used a grappling hook gun to retrieve a target; that was too slow.

The instant the grappling hook hit, Zhao Chuang stepped back with his left leg, assumed a horse stance, and wrapped the rope from the grappling hook around his hands.

Twist the waist! Rotate the hips! Push off the ground!

In just an instant, the enemy was pulled over by Zhao Chuang’s brute force.

Boom boom boom—!!!

While the person was still in a state of weightlessness in mid-air, Fuji had already pulled the trigger.

Bang—!

When the enemy hit the ground, they were already a corpse.

Liu Yan breathed a sigh of relief at this sight.

From his previous position, he couldn’t support the two immediately, but fortunately, the two were no longer the same as before.

If it had been in the past, there would be no doubt; both would have already become corpses.

The footsteps of the other two enemies were also gradually approaching.

Liu Yan passed Fuji and the other man, charging towards the direction of the footsteps.
