MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1655 1655: The Forging Grind (3)

Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!

Taking note of all the imperfections that appeared on the armor piece he was working on, Valyr methodically removed all of them one by one with the help of both his and Ataraxiaʼs ocular skills.

”[Breath of Calm].”

Then, feeling like he had pushed the armor pieceʼs quality to its utmost limit, the young man went ahead and added the final touches, eliciting a series of notifications to appear in his mind a few moments later.

Ding!

[Your title ʼForger of Legendsʼ has activated, enhancing the properties of your modified item by one level.]

[You have successfully created the item: Ascended Half Wyvern Magic Helmet. Quality has been reevaluated to be Exceptional.]

ʼOh? The title activated?ʼ

Raising his eyebrow in interest as he read through the notifications he received, the young man went ahead and used his identification skill on the armor piece, wanting to see if the material he used for attunement was the one he needed to use.

Ding!

[Ascended Half Wyvern Magic Helmet] (Level 55)

Rarity: Epic

Foundation: None

Defense: 411 - 685

Forged by a blacksmith that has gotten close to the origin of the craft, this helmet was previously inspired by the artifact ʼEmpyrean Dragon Armorʼ.

Though with the blacksmithʼs experiences and newly gained knowledge, the helmet, though made with the intent of imitating an artifact, had gained a new life of its own thanks to the blacksmithʼs ingenuity and mastery.

ʼ…Looks about right,ʼ said Valyr through [Soul Entanglement], faintly nodding at the itemʼs description in satisfaction. ʼThough the first skill is still based on the original Half Wyvern Armor set, the fact that everything else is now based on magic without relying on blood infusion is amazing.ʼ

ʼEven the set effects lean more towards magic now.ʼ

ʼIʼm surprised it worked that well,ʼ replied Ataraxia, nodding at the young manʼs words in agreement. ʼIn my head, I thought youʼd need some incredibly rare material attuned to mana to have the armor set be more attuned to magic.ʼ

ʼThough the Azure Wisteria Root isnʼt that rare compared to the stuff Iʼm thinking of, itʼs still difficult to procure.ʼ

ʼYeah.ʼ Valyr nodded, faintly letting out a sigh of relief now that he had a way to finish the task his other self requested from him. ʼSince I wasnʼt expecting this added expenditure, Iʼll have to ask you for more compensation.ʼ

ʼEven though youʼve already pushed both your [Intent of Tranquil Winds] and [Intent of Raging Tempests] to 3rd Grade because of me?ʼ said Ataraxia in response, feeling a bit wronged by the situation.

ʼThatʼs a different matter,ʼ replied Valyr, focusing his attention on forging more items after that.

Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!

ʼ…Fine.ʼ While the young man had decided to spare a bit more of his attention towards the next set of armor he planned on crafting, Ataraxia eventually decided to acquiesce to the formerʼs request. ʼItʼs not like the guild would be able to use all of it anyway.ʼ

ʼHowever, I have a condition.ʼ

Though Valyr was somewhat glad that his other self had agreed to compensate him, his joy was cut short after hearing those words.

Going silent for a bit to ponder over it, he eventually said to Ataraxia through their connection, ʼ…As long as it doesnʼt involve attuning another armor set to some element, then Iʼm all ears.ʼ

ʼOh, donʼt worry.ʼ The latter let out a slight chuckle at his words. ʼThe thought never even come to mind.ʼ

ʼPhew.ʼ

ʼI just want you to forge 40 more sets of both armor sets to round it all out.ʼ

ʼ…ʼ

…

Though Valyr had taken around half a day to find the exact material that would allow the Half Wyvern Set to be more magically attuned, the speed at which the young man forged each set did not change, taking only 20 minutes to complete one even with that addition.

Of course, with his other self requesting him to add 80 more sets to the list of armor sets he needed to create, the young man ended up taking a lot more time than he expected to work on the armor set, spending a total of five days just to forge all of it.

ʼAre you gonna have someone pick this up or do you want me to deliver it to you instead?ʼ

Placing his hammer on the anvil as he took some time to catch his breath, Valyr closed his eyes for a bit as he sent his other self a message.

ʼIʼll have someone pick it up,ʼ replied Ataraxia, giving his other self a slight look of apology as he replied. ʼAside from that, youʼre free to take as many items as you want from the rewards we got from the tournament.ʼ

ʼAnd here I was beginning to think you were my heartless alter ego,ʼ said the young man, letting out a bit of laughter at his own joke. ʼIʼll take you up on that offer once Iʼm finished forging the other things.ʼ

After sending that message to his other self, Valyr went ahead and requested another set of meals from the guild, which surprisingly only took a few minutes for him to receive.

Devouring all of the meals the guild gave him in a matter of minutes, the young man then proceeded to take a stamina and mana potion out of his spatial bracelet, only to then down both of them in just a few gulps.

”Ahh…I feel alive again.” Letting the effects of both potions wash over his entire body for a bit, Valyr then spent a few minutes with his eyes closed as he briefly pondered over how he would go about fulfilling the request the empire gave him.

Recalling the idea he had come up with back when he was learning better firing mechanisms under Ryvrtheʼs vision, the young man soon opened his eyes once more, only to then bring out the writ he had obtained from Norggif.

”A total of 10 masterwork weapons… one of them being higher quality than the other nine…”

”Highly preferred if all of them forgo the need to light a fire…”

”Yeah. I think I know what I need to do.”

ʼMeyers, you there?ʼ

Finished with drafting a rough plan on fulfilling the empireʼs request in his mind, Valyr went ahead and sent a message to his other self through their connection.

ʼI am,ʼ replied Ataraxia, his tone slightly annoyed. ʼ…Is it time to make some guns?ʼ

ʼIt is.ʼ Valyr nodded as he replied.

ʼItʼs time to make some snaplocks.ʼ
