MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1408: The Next Rank

”Yeouch…”

Sucking in a breath of cold air as his consciousness gradually returned to the waking world, Valyr felt his body ache all over as he tried his best to sit upright.

”I should do my ascension on a bed next time,” murmured the young man to himself with a wry smile, casting a few simple healing spells on himself to alleviate some of the pain he felt.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

With the pain wracking his body gone, he then closed his eyes for a bit, attuning to the newfound level of strength brought about by his ascension to Rank 3.

Then, after getting a rough gauge of how much his strength had improved, the young man proceeded to allocate more XP towards his level, sending him straight to the peak of his current class rank.

Ding!

[247,755,837 XP has been consumed.]

[Your level has increased by 14 levels.]

[You are now Level 55.]

Whoosh!

Taking a look at the amount of XP the system consumed to raise his level, Valyr could not help but suck in another breath of cold air, considering that the amount taken was pretty much most of the leftover XP he obtained from the Experience Pit.

Nevertheless, that feeling of remorse quickly disappeared the moment he felt a greater surge of strength course through his body.

With it meshing and melding with the power that was already there, the young man eventually felt like his current level of strength now matched what his other identity had achieved after leaving the Four Pillarsʼ Inheritance.

Though, considering that he had consumed a far greater number of elixirs in his player identity, he also thought that there was a slight chance heʼd already surpassed his other identity at the same rank.

”For some reason, I feel like I can take on a whole group of people with my peak Rank 2 stats and not break a sweat.” Taking a bit of time to internalize the changes in his strength, he then proceeded to do a few basic movements to better adjust himself.

After feeling like heʼd gotten all of his newfound strength under control, Valyr then moved onto casting a couple of spells here and there, wanting to fine-tune his control over them with his higher stats.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Sensing the immense might contained within each spell he cast, a satisfied smile gradually crept up onto the young manʼs face, causing anyone seeing it for the first time to think he had nefarious thoughts in his mind.

Though, before he allowed the sensation of greater power cloud his sense of judgment, the young man eventually stopped casting more spells after going through almost all of his spells at least once.

”Now that just makes me want to know what will happen if I go all out.”

Then again, with how powerful his spells had become thanks to his higher stats and his evolved mana, it took a while for Valyr to calm down from his excitement.

Ding!

Seeking to distract himself from checking out his full destructive capabilities for the meantime, the young man went ahead and brought up a screen in front of him containing all the notifications he got from the ascension.

[Your species ʼMystic Human | Junior Defier of Fate (2nd Unsealing)ʼ has been changed to ʼMystic Human | Junior Defier of Fate (3rd Unsealing)ʼ.]

[As you have transitioned to a higher-level species, you have gained +71 VIT, +68 STR, +70 AGI, +68 DEX, +90 INT, +90 WIS, +69 PER, and +65 LUK.]

[Your class ʼEmissary of the Arcane (Mythic — Growth)ʼ has been improved to adapt to Rank 3 standards.]

[You have gained +5 VIT, +4 STR, +5 AGI, +4 DEX, +9 INT, +9 WIS, +3 PER, and +1 LUK.]

[Your subclass ʼArcane Spell Scribe (Rare — Growth)ʼ has been improved to adapt to Rank 3 standards.]

[You have gained +2 VIT, +3 DEX, +5 INT, +5 WIS and +1 PER.]

[You have gained 6 unassigned stat points.]

”Thatʼs… a lot more stats than I thought Iʼd get.” Having expected a sizable stat gain from both his class and subclass from the ascension, it went without saying that Valyr was left at a loss for words when he found out how much stats he gained from his species.

”From what I can recall from my Rank 2 ascension, I only got like a third of those stats back then,” muttered the young man to himself, only to recall the copious number of elixirs he ingested before ascension.

Considering that one of those elixirs improved all of his stats by over 200 points each, it did not take long for the stat boost from his species to eventually make sense to him.

But then again, it did not stop him from wondering whether heʼd get a similar stat increase from his species once he ascended to Rank 4.

”Weʼll see, I guess.” With there being not much point in thinking about ascending to Rank 4 for the foreseeable future, the young man soon shifted his attention towards the stats he gained after reaching the peak of Rank 3.

Ding!

[You have gained the following stats from your class: +70 VIT, +56 STR, +70 AGI, +56 DEX, +126 INT, +126 WIS, +42 PER, and +14 LUK.]

[You have gained the following stats from your subclass: +28 VIT, +42 AGI, +70 INT, +70 WIS, and +14 PER.]

[You have gained 84 unassigned stat points.]

[You have reached the level limit of your current class. To increase this limit, it is highly advised for you to ascend to a higher class.]

[Would you like to ascend?]

”Thatʼs actually pretty good,” said the young man, nodding at the gains he obtained in satisfaction.

”Considering that Iʼm pretty close to evolving both my class and subclass by an intermediary tier, it wonʼt be long until my stats would get another increase.”

Allocating his unassigned stat points evenly between both INT and WIS, the young man briefly closed his eyes to acclimate to the sudden increase in his mental capabilities.

Whoosh!

”Alright.” Feeling like heʼd gotten the slight increase to his stats finally under control, it went without saying that Valyr commanded the system to bring up his status screen after that, his eyes glistening with both anticipation and excitement.

”Time to see how much my stats have increased.”
