MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 945: Beyond Wildest Expectations

[The system deems the Prime Azure Energy youʼve created to be a more suitable type of energy to be used for your skills.]

[With that, the system has taken it upon itself to adjust all active and passive skills reliant on Azure Energy to shift to using Prime Azure Energy, adjusting the cost, potency, and efficiency of the conversions accordingly.]

[The system has also taken it upon itself to grant you the ability to use Prime Azure Energy on other skills, though only under the condition that said skill uses either Shadow Energy or mana.]

[Making use of Prime Azure Energy on skills that mainly run on either Shadow Energy or mana shall be granted a 20% multiplicative boost to their potency.]

Skipping over the notifications heʼd already read while still in the depths of his inner self, Valyrʼs eyes widened in slight surprise after seeing how much the system seemed to favor his creation of Prime Azure Energy.

It even went so far as to retrofit most, if not all of his skills to make use of the new energy heʼd just formed, a stark contrast to how he had to manually do all of that back when he first obtained Azure Energy.

Taking in a few deep breaths to compose himself, Valyr went ahead and took a look at the main skills heʼd be using once he left the Shadow Plane.

Focusing his attention on both [Four Paths Azure Magic Arts] and [Four Paths Azure War Arts], the young man took notice that the cost to activate each technique had been reduced, with their cooldown receiving the same treatment as well.

Even [Four Paths Azure Liberation], the transcendental technique heʼd just obtained not long ago, had been modified by the system to make use of Prime Azure Energy.

Though the reduction in cost was only minimal at best, from 80% to 75% of his maximum energy reserves, the cooldown of the transcendental technique had been cut in half to 12 hours.

Not only that, but the techniques heʼd gain access if he were to enter the state of Liberation had been changed as well, taking up a smaller portion of his reserves while unleashing considerably higher power.

Thinking that it wouldnʼt be much of a problem for him to slowly get acquainted with the effects of Prime Azure Energy on his other skills, his thoughts shifted towards the last notification among them, prompting him to test it out.

”[Limit Break: Second Verse].”

Whoosh!

Activating the skill with the help of Prime Azure Energy, Valyr immediately felt that the skill was amplifying his stats by a bit more than it used to.

Wanting to be sure that the sensation wasnʼt just a mere hallucination, he then proceeded to activate [Second Encore], which would have normally boosted his stats by 25% in total.

Swoosh!

However, thanks to the effects given by the system, the combination of the two skills now boosted his stats by a total of 30%, increasing his combat prowess by a substantial amount.

Then again, considering that all of his stat-boosting and combat-boosting skills were activated through mana, this change basically meant his peak combat prowess reaching an even higher level.

Grinning at the thought of having that much power in the battlefield, Valyr moved onto the other notifications he received from the system after forming Prime Azure Energy.

Ding!

[The Saintess of the Shadow Plane is greatly pleased with your actions of refining and furthering the concept of Azure Energy, improving the strength of the connection the Shadow Plane has with the universe.]

[The Overseer of the Shadow Plane is slightly intrigued by the energy youʼve formed, wondering how such energy had the potential to turn the concept of the Shadow Plane on its head.]

[Nevertheless, even he is glad that your actions have strengthened the Shadow Planeʼs connection to the universe.]

[Though the Saintess of the Shadow Plane feels that only a bit of time has passed since she has given you rewards, the Saintess feels that this action should be greatly rewarded as well.]

[The Overseer of the Shadow Plane contradicts the Saintessʼ decision, reminding her that giving too much rewards in such a short time might possibly make you complacent.]

[With that, the Overseer and the Saintess of the Shadow Plane discussed your contributions in great detail, eventually coming up with a series of rewards given in a way that would be greatly in your favor.]

ʼ...Huh.ʼ

Reading how the Serpent Maiden and the Overseer of the Shadow Plane got into an argument just because he had the sudden thought to incorporate the concept of the [Truth Weaver Scripture] into his Azure Energy, Valyr did not know whether to laugh or cry.

Nevertheless, with how the notifications showed how the two placed great importance in what heʼd done, the young man began to feel a few expectations beginning to be placed down on him, getting the feeling that the energy he formed was far greater than it initially seemed.

Letting out a slight exhale to calm himself down, Valyr continued to read through his notifications, finally obtaining information on the rewards the Overseer and the Serpent Maiden had come to an agreement to.

[The Saintess and the Overseer of the Shadow Plane are greatly pleased with your actions, having come to a decision to reward your efforts.]

[Because of that, the Saintess and the Overseer of the Shadow Plane have decided to modify your current subclass to make greater use of the energy youʼve just created.]

[At the same time, the Saintess and the Overseer have modified the potential of your subclass, allowing the subclass to fully conform to the energy youʼve created. Due to that, the current prerequisite quests needed to upgrade the subclass have been modified as well.]

[The Saintess of the Shadow Plane has taken it upon herself to enhance one of the rewards youʼve received from her, telling you that your current achievements are far greater than the ones youʼve achieved for the Shadow Plane before.]

[The title ʼProgenitor of the Four Azure Pathsʼ has been upgraded to ʼOriginator of the Prime

Azureʼ.]

[The Overseer reminds you that your remaining rewards shall be given once you ascend to the peak of Rank 4 and the peak of Rank 5.]

ʼSo, in short, Iʼve gotten a better subclass and a title.ʼ Noticing that there were still a few more notifications left to go through, Valyr took a bit of time to go through what he just read in his

mind.

ʼFrom what could I understand, the better subclass would only come about if I complete the prerequisite quests, while the title is something theyʼve already upgraded for me.ʼ

ʼThatʼs definitely a lot more than I thought I would get, considering I wasnʼt really expecting any rewards from upgrading my Azure Energy,ʼ muttered the young man to himself, letting out a faint chuckle soon after.

ʼAnd to think Iʼd get more once I ascend through the next two class ranks?ʼ

ʼKind of makes me curious what those rewards are.ʼ Pushing the thought of the rewards to the side, Valyr went over his last few remaining notifications, immediately noticing that they were notifications related to completing his prerequisite quests.

Ding!

[Due to the intervention of the Saintess and the Overseer of the Shadow Plane, the prerequisite quests for your subclass have been modified accordingly.]

[You have obtained the prerequisite quest: Evolve the concept of the Shadow within Prime

Azure Energy to the concept of the Void (0/1).]

[You have completed a prerequisite quest to ascend your subclass to the next rarity.]

[Improve the quality of oneʼs Prime Azure Energy to the Echo stage (1/1).]

[You have completed a prerequisite quest to ascend your subclass to the next rarity.]

[Increase oneʼs Prime Azure Energy reserves to 10,000 (1/1).]

ʼWait... what?ʼ Glossing over the new prerequisite quest for the meantime, Valyr nodded in satisfaction when the system confirmed that heʼd improve the quality of his energy to the

Echo stage.

However, that satisfaction swiftly turned into confusion the moment he read that heʼd also increased his reserves to 10,000.

ʼEven if Prime Azure Energy took over the spot of my Azure Energy reserves, donʼt I only have like 300 points of it at the moment?ʼ asked the young man to himself. ʼWhat the heck did I do to have it go up to 10,000 all of a sudden?ʼ

Wondering if the system was messing around with him, Valyr went ahead and opened up his status screen to take a better look at his Prime Azure Energy reserves.

And what he saw was far beyond even his wildest expectations.

Ding!

Prime Azure Energy: 12,372/12,372
