Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 437: 437: She has a boyfriend now

’Whoosh―――’

At the instant of action, the smoke bomb was launched!

Jun Xing and Sheng Lan coordinated seamlessly, and at almost the same instant, the trainees split into two routes.

The current situation was extremely dangerous, with countless pursuers chasing the trainees. The only way to distract the enemies behind them was to use the smoke bomb like this.

The enemies were forced to split into three groups!

This was also the best way to ensure the lady’s safety.

”Run!”

Xia Xi grabbed Gu Tong by the wrist and rushed toward the dense forest they had scouted earlier. They moved in unison, their feet like the wind, constantly changing directions.

”Chase...”

The men in black were coughing from the smoke bomb, their eyes unable to open.

However, they hadn’t forgotten their mission to assassinate Xia Xi.

Relying on their sense of hearing, they naturally split into three teams, charging in three different directions.

They hadn’t forgotten the boss’s deadly order: even if they died, they must not let Xia Xi survive...

...

In the shrubs, every step they took produced a sound, the soft mud beneath giving way to leave footprints.

Realizing this, Gu Tong and Xia Xi frowned.

The smoke bomb could temporarily obscure the enemy’s vision, but it couldn’t completely change their predicament.

The two women, weaker in stamina and speed compared to men, were inevitably going to be caught by the men in black...

It was all just a matter of time!

However, in such a place, without any crossroads, they could only struggle in the grass with no better place to go.

But by doing so, they left the enemy with the best tracking traces...

Flattened grass and footprints in the soil!

They were like the enemy’s third pair of eyes, a natural surveillance system.

”Run to the mountain!”

Gu Tong scanned the surroundings and keenly noticed a small hill not far away. Although a bit distant, its silhouette was visible. As long as they were fast enough, they could reach it in a short time.

”The mountain...”

Xia Xi took a deep breath and then noticed the mountain not far away, feeling a surge of joy in her heart.

Gu Tong’s eyes were truly like those of a hawk, capable of spotting things that others temporarily missed.

”Don’t get too pleased too early. Even if we get up the mountain, we’ll leave footprints at the base. Only when we’re on the mountain can we temporarily alter our predicament, but we must hurry, or they’ll catch up soon!”

Gu Tong analytically laid out her thoughts, but couldn’t help but curse the treacherous geography!

If only it were like the grassy fields at the camping training ground, where they could hide without encountering any problems.

”Alright...”

Xia Xi had immense trust in Gu Tong. Wherever Gu Tong pointed, she would run in that direction without having to look.

Her peripheral vision fixated on Gu Tong’s serious face, Xia Xi’s lips curled into a smile, saying, ”You’re the only one who’s truly good to me in this world!” Her words came out decisively and resolutely.

”...” If possible, Gu Tong’s current biggest wish was to hang this girl up and beat her to relieve the hatred in her heart.

Gu Tong had no intention to respond, but Xia Xi continued speaking on her own, ”If you were a man, I’d definitely marry you and have a few little monkeys with you~”

”...” Sorry, she already had a man...

Moreover, even if Gu Tong were a man who could take a wife, she would want a gentle, virtuous, cute, and kind one. But someone like Xia Xi, who was always causing trouble while flirting, had no interest at all!!!
