I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

The blue lightning bolts were still dancing in the heart of the monster army.

Every time Thunder Calamity was released, several Thunder Spine Serpents were thrown into the air in an explosion of blood and lightning.

The Ironhorn Marsh Drakes were falling one after another under Lian’s devastating strikes.

After killing each monster, he would immediately add the stats point he gained to mana, endurance, and strength, and this had made it so that now killing level 24 and 25 monsters had also become easy for him.

He did not have time to look at his stats, but he was sure that more than 50+ stats points had been added to all three: mana, resistance, and speed.

But the more he added, the more he felt that he was reaching the maximum capacity of his body, which was normal, his body had still not passed the first evolution.

Even the most powerful monsters have a limit they can reach before they pass their first evolution.

It is just that their limit compared to humans was much higher, for example, the limit for an elite awakened one with a five-star class was a maximum of 2000 stats, this was the maximum they could reach before the first evolution.

Although this limit for awakened ones with four-star classes is 1500, and for three-star classes and lower, the maximum is 1000 stats.

He is not currently aware of his exact total stats, but the last time he distributed stats points among his stats before entering the ancient ruin, his total stats were 1571.

He is practically even stronger than the most powerful awakened ones with four-star classes at level 20, who are only half a step away from their first evolution.

While he is only level 14.

He looked at the new notification... well, now he was level 15.

Of course, now during this battle, considering the monsters he had killed and the new stats he had distributed, he had probably passed 1800.

He was curious to know what his limit was? 2000? Or 3000? Or 4000? Maybe even 5000?

The orderly formation of the monster army had completely fallen apart, but right when everything was going according to plan...

Suddenly, all the hair on Lian’s body stood up, without any prior warning... the blood currents, the heartbeats of the creatures, and the presence of thousands of monsters were imprinted in his mind.

But among all of them... there was one presence that was incomparable to anything else.

Massive... heavy and terrifying, and with unimaginable speed... it was approaching.

Not from the front, not from behind, but from above, and Lian’s eyes suddenly widened.

Without even a moment of thought... he immediately released all his speed and power and threw himself to the left.

The next moment... BOOOOOOM!!

A terrifying sound shook the entire battlefield, as if a meteor had fallen from the sky.

The ground collapsed within a radius of dozens of meters, the explosion waves threw soil, rocks, and even the bodies of nearby monsters into the air.

Dozens of Thunder Spine Serpents that had no chance to react at all were torn apart just by the impact wave.

When the dust cleared a little... Lian finally saw that monster from a distance of less than twenty meters.

Abyssal River Drake.

Shiny black scales, among which red veins were shining like a flow of lava.

Curved horns protruding from its head, and golden eyes in which no emotion could be seen except the hunt.

Red steam was coming out from between its giant teeth, which was even burning the surrounding air.

Lian felt it had become hard to breathe, the pressure of this creature’s presence... was heavier than almost anything he had experienced so far.

Almost, because it still seems a little weaker than the Dreadmaw Sovereign.

This was not just a difference in power, it was a difference in the level of existence.

The monster did not even pause for a moment, its massive tail moved with incredible speed.

The air tore like fabric, and Lian was only able to pull himself back thanks to Fallen Wolf Speed.

The creature’s tail hit a rock behind him, and the massive rock... turned into thousands of pieces in an instant.

Lian had not even landed yet when the giant claw came down from above, the ground split and deep cracks extended dozens of meters.

Lian dodged again, this was the only thing he could do, but he had not even found a chance to breathe when the monster’s mouth opened.

A wave of red energy in the form of a massive crescent was released, and everything in its path... trees, rocks, and monsters, all were split in half.

With his last moment of reaction, Lian threw himself behind the corpse of one of the Ironhorns.

The explosion from the wave’s impact threw the multi-ton body of that monster into the air, pieces of flesh and metal shells rained down around.

Lian jumped out from the dust, he did not even have time to think, only one conclusion had formed in his mind.

”Even one direct hit means death.”

On the base walls... all eyes were fixed on that same point.

Rhea, who was fighting the monsters a few moments ago, suddenly lowered her sword.

”Damn it, he went straight for Lian.” Even her usual voice no longer had a joking tone.

Bren cursed under his breath, Zak was staring into the distance with a completely serious face, and Kael clenched his fist tightly, worry could be seen on his face.

Commander Elizabeth also saw the scene, but right in front of her, three other Fallen ones were attacking the defensive line.

If she left her position... the wall would collapse at that very moment.

She just gritted her teeth, no one... could go to help.

Lian was still running away at full speed, Predator’s Instincts was still active.

”This bastard definitely came after me because it sensed the egg’s smell from me.” He cursed under his breath, he had no doubt that this was the reason this Fallen one had come after him.

And what other reason could there be for a monster that was watching until now to suddenly come after him?

The level 35 monster was even willing to sacrifice thousands of its own monsters, just to get that egg back.

But this discovery... created a new idea in his mind.

He could not fight, but... he could use the monster itself.

Without the slightest hesitation, he changed his path, and ran toward the densest part of the monster army.

Hundreds of Thunder Spine Serpents were gathered together, and dozens of Ironhorn Marsh Drakes were also moving behind them.

The next moment...

The Drake attacked, its massive tail landed with a full spin, and dozens of Thunder Spine Serpents did not even have a chance to look.

Their bodies were shattered, the next claw... split three Ironhorns in half.

The wave of red energy... reaped the rear ranks.

The monster did not care at all, any obstacle between it and the egg... had to be destroyed... even if it was its own forces.

Lian kept running, wherever he went... death also moved with him.

But this time... death was not just from his side, the Abyssal River Drake was also massacring its own army.

Commander Elizabeth saw this scene and her eyes sparkled.

”Concentrate all fire on that monster’s path!”

In an instant... all the mana cannons changed their direction.

Massive glowing projectiles landed one after another, and the mages also released their remaining mana.

A rain of fire and explosive powers from concentrated mana all fell on that same path.

These were advanced weapons that had been built and developed by the world’s military industries over decades.

The monsters that had survived the Drake’s attacks were this time destroyed under the defenders’ fire.

The monster army truly lost control, the roars intertwined, the ranks broke apart, and the advance almost stopped.

But Lian... in the heart of that chaos... was thinking about something else, about the egg, if he took it out right now... and left it somewhere...

Maybe this monster would also stop chasing him, maybe the siege would end.

But... his gaze fixed for a moment on that unknown egg in his mental storage space.

The Devourer.

A creature that even the book of treasure had not been able to classify.

He... was not willing to lose it, unless it was the last solution, for now he had no plan to abandon it.

He had gone through a lot of difficulty and effort so far, and his life had been put at risk, at least by keeping that egg he would be sure it was worth it.

So unless it was the last solution, he really did not want to abandon it.

Suddenly... everything changed.

The Abyssal River Drake no longer attacked, but stood calmly, its massive mouth slowly opened.

Lian unconsciously slowed down.

The surrounding air began to tremble, a red and black point formed deep in the monster’s throat.

At first the size of a fist, then larger, larger, and the energy around it was being compressed.

Space was warping, the ground beneath the monster was cracking, and at that very moment...

Predator’s Instincts warned madly.

All of Lian’s senses were screaming, certain death... his pupils contracted violently.

His heart stopped for a moment, he... at that very moment understood that this attack... could no longer be dodged with just speed.
