African Entrepreneurship Record

Of course, compared to a traditional agricultural powerhouse like the Far East Empire, which places great emphasis on the construction of water conservancy facilities, East Africa is naturally far behind. However, compared to some underdeveloped countries and regions in Europe and America, the water conservancy facilities in Central and Eastern Africa are already quite comprehensive, not to mention some even more backward and sparsely populated countries and regions.

In fact, the two nationwide water conservancy constructions in East Africa were completely out of necessity. The purpose of the East African Government, or Ernst, is to complete in one generation what takes other countries hundreds or even thousands of years to achieve in development.

Water conservancy construction is the lifeblood of agriculture, requiring hard work and offering no shortcuts, so it can only be completed through ”iron and blood” means. Of course, the natives are the main force in the bloodshed.

…

As the East African Government finalized various details, the second nationwide water conservancy construction project began in full swing. This time, with the experience of the first national water conservancy construction project, the East African Government was able to mobilize national forces more efficiently.

”Go to the west, go to the south, go to where the motherland needs you!”

Although East Africa is an immigrant country, the slogans also play the ”patriotism” card. In fact, residents born in East Africa now outnumber foreign immigrants.

And the main target of this mobilization is the new generation of strong labor in East Africa. Utilizing the opportunity of the second nationwide water conservancy construction project, East Africa intends to conduct a nationwide migration to the west and south, completely changing the dominance of Central and Eastern Africa.

In fact, Angola, Mozambique, and Orange have already built a certain foundation under years of construction in East Africa, which is the basis for this large-scale migration.

Moreover, this migration mainly targets the agricultural sector, while industrial migration activities have long been carried out simultaneously with industrial transfer.

”According to national requirements, families with many members must send at least one person from each household to work in the underdeveloped areas in the west and south. Our West Great Lake Province is a key region for this migration, and everyone must actively cooperate with the government to complete this task.” Kegel Village Chief Andre said.

Andre’s words naturally caused a small stir among the villagers, as migration is never a simple matter, affecting various aspects and meaning the ”division” of some families with each migration.

However, the migration did not cause major trouble. After all, this is already a norm for the East African people. East Africa has been relocating populations from densely populated areas to other places for years, just like how many young people leave the small Kegel Village every year to go to various parts of the country. It’s just that this time the East African Government has made a bigger move.

”Andre, why is this migration so grand?” a villager asked directly, calling him by name.

”This is quite understandable. During our last territorial expansion, we seized quite a bit of land from the Portuguese and Boers. To control and develop these new territories naturally requires manpower. The previous migration activities to several places were just appetizers.”

”Now, after years of governance in places like Angola and Mozambique, both social security and economic foundation are impressive, so on this basis, in order to balance regional development, it is necessary to further increase the number of migrants.”

To put it simply, the East African Government has already resolved the unstable factors in these new areas over the past few years. Coupled with national development needs and the requirements of water conservancy and other infrastructure constructions, the East African Government plans to achieve one step to directly turn Mozambique, Angola, and other places into core territories of East Africa.

”Do not harbor any fluke mindset on this matter. After all, as underdeveloped countries, East Africa must take strong measures to develop. It’s just changing to a new living area. Life won’t change much, after all, it’s all East Africa. What’s the difference wherever you go!” Andre emphasized.

”Besides, this migration activity is much simpler compared to more than a decade ago. Now, the railways and roads are much more developed than before. It doesn’t take too long to travel around the country. Looking back ten years, migration was a real hardship back then. No need to say more; many elders in the village can recall the hard years of East Africa.”

Andre’s words indeed evoked memories of some old immigrants, though tracing back further, it would only be harder in the Eurasian continent.

After over a month of preparation, the first batch of external migrants from Kegel Village reached over a hundred people. There might be second and third phases... until the needs of the East African Government are met.

And for West Great Lake Province as a major agricultural province, the natural population growth rate is extremely high in East Africa, so this migration activity doesn’t significantly affect local economic development.

It can even be said to alleviate population pressure. As an agricultural province, the agricultural resources in West Great Lake Province are limited, but the population growth rate is not slow. If not for the continuous population loss and lack of industrial support, per capita resources would only decrease, potentially leading to poverty. If the population continues to grow unsystematically without significant changes in the industrial structure, India and East Asia countries might be the future of West Great Lake Province.

Therefore, regarding population loss, the West Great Lake Province government is supportive, although the agricultural potential of West Great Lake Province has not yet been fully developed.

With the population migration and construction projects, a large number of people are being continuously transported to all parts of the country by East Africa’s railways and highways. Many families tearfully bid farewell, and similar scenes are repeated in various regions in the east.

The situation is somewhat better in the central region, which is second only to the east in population, but the central region cannot compare with the east, so it is not a main force in this migration. However, due to the transfer of backward industries, the migration of industrial populations is greater from the central region than from the east.

According to later statistics by East Africans, from 1894 to 1900, East Africa migrated at least over eight million people to Angola, Mozambique, and other places, completely changing the national population distribution in East Africa, causing the population in the western and southern regions to rise to tens of millions in a short time.

Of course, the value created by these populations in local development and construction can only be truly reflected in the next century.

This grand national migration is vividly referred to as the ”Great Migration of the East African Savanna.” As a country mainly characterized by tropical savanna climate, the great migration of animals in East African savannas is rather spectacular, but this time it is the migration of East Africans, and thus this term is used to describe the population migration activity in East Africa.

Of course, with the development of East African countries, the so-called great migration of savanna animals is increasingly difficult to witness in later generations, except in places like Serengeti, as population migration and construction projects in East Africa significantly squeeze the living space of local wildlife.

This population migration activity is also relished by many countries in later generations. As East Africa becomes a world power in a short time, many are fascinated by the course of East Africa’s rise.

Moreover, the rapid rise of major cities like Luanda, Cabinda, and Bela in later generations is also believed to be linked to this migration activity, making them well-known cities worldwide in the twentieth century.
