Eldritch Horror Theatre

Almost instantly, Fu Qian was labeled a cold-blooded lunatic, and everyone’s interest in him plummeted to the absolute minimum.

No one wanted to antagonize a powerful psychopath, especially when surrounded by enemies.

When a person like that snapped, they simply didn’t weigh the consequences.

Fu Qian was actually quite satisfied with this.

Even after deducing that there was no benefit to killing someone right now, he had still chosen to blow that guy’s head off just to achieve this exact effect.

A persona mattered these days. Branding himself as a reckless madman would undoubtedly save him a lot of unnecessary trouble.

Time passed quickly in the suffocating silence.

A few minutes later, Fu Qian felt a sudden stir in his heart as a bizarre wave of impact enveloped the entire space.

’The legendary blessing of the goddess?’

It felt a bit like the gaze of a special entity, but much more peaceful.Fu Qian quietly sensed the changes in his body.

So far, he hadn’t noticed any negative effects.

’She isn’t called a goddess for nothing. Her Rank really isn’t low!’

[Current task updated: Find the Statue of the Goddess of Sin]

At the same time, the task prompt finally echoed in his ears.

’Find the Goddess Statue? They really don’t want me to stay idle!’

Fu Qian sighed inwardly.

Regardless of how many people adopted whatever strategies in this death game, the area around the Goddess Statue wouldn’t be peaceful.

’Going to look for this thing will bring a lot of trouble.’

Bang!

While Fu Qian was silently pondering, another bloody murder took place in the hall.

A tall, burly man with a full head of red hair and a fanatical smile punched another person’s head straight into their chest.

The latter was still clutching an unformed ball of magma in his palm, seemingly a transcendent who manipulated fire.

With the death of its master, the magma lost control and instantly exploded.

In the blink of an eye, the raging flames ignited the still-twitching corpse, rapidly burning it into a charred, black lump.

Compared to Fu Qian’s handiwork just now, this scene was equally impactful.

Meanwhile, a layer of dark blood-light instantly shrouded the red-haired, burly man, looking as though invisible flames were burning.

’Is this the Fire of Sin?’

Fu Qian watched the scene with great interest.

This thing was clearly somewhat evil. Just standing here, he could feel a maddeningly hot aura.

Scorched by the Sin Fire, the red-haired man was clearly in a lot of pain. Miraculously, his clothes remained completely unaffected.

’Truly miraculous. It seems it only burns the flesh.’

Noticing Fu Qian’s gaze, the red-haired man looked up at him, the smile on his face growing even more fanatical.

Running a hand across his neck, he made a decapitation gesture at Fu Qian.

The next moment, he abruptly spun around and threw an elbow strike at the empty air.

The air distorted as a blurry shadow turned from faint to solid, tumbling onto the ground and transforming into a human figure.

This figure was small and thin, dressed entirely in black, holding an almost transparent dagger.

From his skills to his equipment, one could tell at a glance that he was a master of assassination!

Fu Qian clicked his tongue in admiration as he watched.

It was obvious that this guy had coordinated his attack with the one who had just died. They had wanted to instantly kill this Red-Haired Slaughterer right off the bat.

One luring the enemy from the front, the other assassinating from the shadows—this coordination was nothing short of ingenious.

Unfortunately, they had still underestimated their target’s strength.

Not only was the decoy instantly killed, but the Slaughterer’s elbow strike was also as sharp as a knife and as heavy as an axe.

The figure on the ground directly spat out a mouthful of blood. Completely abandoning any thought of advancing, he used his momentum to roll far away, ready to employ the ’wind is tight, pull back’ tactic.

However, Brother Slaughterer had no intention of letting him go.

Stomping his foot on the ground, he gave chase like a clinging shadow while flicking his left hand to whip out an iron chain.

At the tip of the chain was a barbed hook glinting with cold light.

Brother Assassin, who had just gotten to his feet, couldn’t dodge in time. His thigh was completely pierced through.

”Ugh!”

Amidst a pained, muffled groan, the assassin swung the dagger in his hand down fiercely, trying to sever the iron chain on his leg.

However, before the blade could strike true, a massive force abruptly yanked him. His body instantly lost its balance, and he was forced into a forward lunge, crashing head-on into the embrace of the Slaughterer, who was charging like a bull.

Crack!

A dense barrage of bone-shattering crunches rang out, and the assassin’s body deformed almost instantly.

All struggle ceased. He was solidly plastered against the hall’s stone wall.

In a matter of seconds, the duo was completely wiped out.

Yanking the hook back from his opponent’s body, the Red-Haired Slaughterer took a deep breath, his expression growing even more fanatical.

At the same time, the Sin Fire on his body burned a fraction hotter.

’So ruthless! No wonder those two chose him as their target right off the bat.’

Fu Qian nodded to himself.

This Brother Slaughterer’s strength was clearly a cut above the rest. Considering there could only be one victor in the end, he was undoubtedly a top-seeded player.

Taking out the most powerful competitor at the very beginning, not giving him the chance to grow more ferocious with every kill—that was a very normal line of thought.

’It’s a pity their strength didn’t match their strategy.’

Fu Qian didn’t have much sympathy for the two who died. After all, those who ended up in here most likely weren’t innocent souls; every action they took was just to survive until the end.

Besides, judging by their strategy, if Brother Slaughterer hadn’t drawn their attention, they might have targeted him instead given his own earlier performance.

Having secured a double kill, the Red-Haired Slaughterer hadn’t emerged entirely unscathed.

A deep gash had been sliced across his left cheek, exposing half of his gums.

Brother Assassin had still managed to deal some damage, but sadly, it wasn’t enough to be fatal.

The wound on his face looked like an extension of his mouth, making his smile even more hideous. Brother Slaughterer scanned the area with this expression. By now, there weren’t many people left in the hall.

The most conspicuous group among them consisted of eight or nine prisoners standing rather closely together.

Like the duo from earlier, they had clearly formed some kind of temporary alliance. Clustered together, they all stared nervously at Brother Slaughterer, waiting in strict formation.

Aside from them, there was also a young woman dressed in a snow-white gown, looking exceptionally elegant and luxurious.

Next to her stood a young man with a cold expression, who never strayed a single step from her side.

Although she wasn’t sitting completely still like Fu Qian, this white-skirted young woman was undoubtedly the most relaxed person present besides him.

Faced with the bloody scene in the hall, not only did she show no shock or fear, she was even looking around with sparkling eyes.

His gaze swept over their faces one by one. A few seconds later, Brother Slaughterer ultimately didn’t launch another attack; instead, he turned and left.

’Sure enough, he isn’t a true lunatic!’

Fu Qian wasn’t entirely surprised.

The strength Brother Slaughterer displayed was undoubtedly quite impressive.

But even so, every single one of the remaining targets in the hall would be somewhat tricky for him to handle.

For instance, this Saintess and Knight duo was far stronger than the mage and assassin pair from earlier.

As for that Wartime Alliance team, although their individual strength was lacking, swarming him all at once would still pack a punch.

’As for myself?’

’I hope Brother Slaughterer keeps his feet on the ground and farms properly, instead of entertaining such unrealistic fantasies.’
