I'm Scattering IQ to the Protagonist

Chapter 106.2

106 Part 2

Although Yu Feng had been convinced by what Su Yu was saying, thinking about the place his sister got into the accident was enough for fear and sadness to sweep over him. “But I…”

“I know you don’t want to stay here. That’s why I think this location must be hiding a secret. Even if you had sensed something wrong with the location and wanted to find an escape route, you still wouldn’t have the courage to investigate here, right?” Su Yu made a deduction.

Hiding the key point where Yu Feng would never approach was a very effectively hiding method.

Clenching his fists, Yu Feng nodded. He was filled with fear toward this place. Beforehand he thought it was due to his sister’s accident, but now he felt that there might be something else.

But he’d never come here before, so where was this bone-piercing fear coming from?

“Don’t be afraid. If you’re scared, you can go back home to wait for me. I should be able to handle this alone.” Su Yu patted him on the shoulder. As long as he stayed alive, everything was easy to manage.

Glancing at Su Yu, Yu Feng clenched his jaw. “No, I should come with you. I’m the one who got you involved in the first place.”

“That’s good too.” Thinking about how fearful Yu Feng was of this place, Su Yu was quiet for a moment before responding in the affirmative. He cast his gaze toward the location of the car crash. “Do you feel something wrong? Such a big accident, yet no one has arrived to deal with it yet.”

Not daring to look in that direction, Yu Feng gave a quick sound of affirmation.

“Are you really okay like this?” Su Yu glanced over him. They hadn’t even started and Yu Feng was too scared to even look up.

He was very afraid, but after a moment of silence he still shook his head. “I’m fine.”

“Then let’s go and take a look.” Seemingly casual, Su Yu took Yu Feng’s hand and they walked toward where they came from.

According to the current situation, there were only three key points in this world, all of which were points in time. Most normal people would start from there, but Su Yu had a different way of thinking about it.

The more obvious it was, the more likely it was just a way of confusing the eye.

Just like what he had said earlier, the only thing in common between the two cycles was the location of Yu Ting’s death. That plus Yu Feng’s intense fear of the place made Su Yu feel like this was where everything was tied together.

Pulling Yu Feng’s hand, Su Yu walked closer and closer to that street. In the beginning Yu Feng acted normally, but the closer they got the more fearful he was, his footsteps slowing further and further.

When they were about ten meters away from the alleyway, Yu Feng pulled on Su Yu’s arm. “Liu Yang, are we…really going in?”

Su Yu pointed at the entrance of the alley. “Are you afraid of that spot?”

“Yes. I don’t know why, but I really don’t want to go over there.” Yu Feng’s hands were drenched in cold sweat. It was plain to see how fearful he was.

Su Yu had no intentions of forcing Yu Feng, but this reaction was only proving his intuition correct. No matter what was in there, he had to take a look, and now Yu Feng had come too far to turn back.

Yu Feng’s fear was reason enough to explain why he had to go over there. “Yu Feng, I know you’re afraid, but it could be the escape from this world or at least a breakthrough for us. We need to go look.”

Yu Feng looked down at his feet, his face pale as a sheet. He could feel his heart leaping like it was going to jump out of his throat.

“We’re just going to take a look, perhaps nothing will even happen.” Su Yu pinched Yu Feng’s hand reassuringly, his voice gentle as well. “Plus, it’s possible that’s where the real world lies. Don’t you want to go there? Perhaps in that world your sister is still alive and waiting for you to go home.”

“I…” Yu Feng’s lips had lost all color, his breathing uneven. After a long pause, he finally managed to spit out two words. “I’ll try.”

Su Yu grasped his hand. “Don’t be afraid. I’m here, I’ll protect you.”

It took then a long time to even get through half of those ten meters. Although he’d already said yes, the fear in Yu Feng’s heart wasn’t so easy to overcome. Su Yu couldn’t just drag him along. The two of them were stopping for three minutes each step they took.

When they were finally right by the alley, Yu Feng was drenched in cold sweat, his face whiter than ever as he was unable to force himself to take another step. “Liu Yang, I think…I still can’t do it. I’m too scared. What should I do? What can I do?”

His voice sounded like he was on the verge of tears.

Su Yu sighed. Forcing him to confront his fears was very cruel, but he couldn’t give up here either. “Close your eyes,” he said, looking straight at his eyes.

“What?” Yu Feng’s voice was so soft it was barely audible.

Su Yu reached out to cover Yu Feng’s eyes. Having his eyes covered under such extreme fear, Yu Feng instinctively struggled. But the next moment he felt something warm at the corner of his lips, with the utmost gentleness.

This was…

Unable to react in time, Yu Feng’s body was swept away with the wind, drifting off somewhere. His mind started to spin as his consciousness fled…
