Soren lay on the floor, tears streaming down his cheeks. The handcuffs prevented him from using his magic—they were anti-mana. And the pheromones flooding the room forced his body to react like a weak omega before an alpha.

He ground his teeth, glaring up at the man standing before him.

”Let me go!” he shouted hoarsely. ”GUARDS!”

”Tsk, tsk.” Oliver lowered himself, gently lifting Soren’s face, his thumb pressing beneath the omega’s chin. ”It seems my beloved Crown Prince is calling for his guards.” A soft laugh escaped him. ”But did I tell you? I gave each of them a cup of tea—with medicine to put them to sleep... for a long time. At least until I finish.”

Soren’s eyes widened in horror as Oliver tugged at his pants. His body trembled violently—burning.

His heat had begun.

”Why are you doing this to me?!” Soren cried. ”What did I do?!”

”Oh, nothing,” Oliver replied calmly. ”I am not doing anything wrong, Your Imperial Highness. I am merely... showing you the power of an alpha.”

Soren wiped his tears away with his shoulder, forcing himself to breathe.

”Alright,” he said bitterly. ”Alphas are powerful. Now let me go.”

Oliver laughed, the sound echoing cruelly through the chamber.

”Oh—and I love you.”

Soren narrowed his eyes in disbelief.

”Love?” he scoffed. ”This is no fucking love.”

”Oh my,” Oliver chuckled. ”Would you hear that? Seems you know how to curse.” He pressed kisses to Soren’s cheek, then his forehead—then his lips.

Soren’s stomach twisted violently at every touch. He hated that his body reacted despite his disgust. The curse of being an omega—responding even when every part of him screamed no.

”Oliver,” he whispered, biting his lip. ”Let me go. I won’t tell anyone. Please.”

He had never imagined he would have to beg like this.

But the alpha turned away instead, walking toward the closet and pulling out a large black drape. By the time Soren managed to crawl toward the door, his limbs were shaking uncontrollably.

Once again, he was close.

He pushed the door open and staggered to his feet. The pheromones in the room began to thin, drifting away like smoke.

Freedom—

Arms wrapped tightly around his waist, yanking him back.

”Oh, my prince,” Oliver breathed. ”Don’t do this to me. I will take you somewhere nice.” His hands roamed, pinching, forcing a reaction. ”Let’s make a beautiful family. Just you and I.”

Soren bit down hard on Oliver’s lips until blood filled his mouth. He spat it onto the floor.

”I am going nowhere with you,” he said, his voice cracking.

Fear crushed his chest. If Oliver kept suppressing him with pheromones—would he ever escape?

Footsteps echoed down the corridor.

Oliver stiffened.

At the doorway stood Rihaan.

”What is going on?” he demanded, eyes widening.

Soren was half-naked in another man’s arms. The alpha pheromones leading Rihaan here were unmistakable.

”Why are you here?” Oliver sneered. ”Don’t you know you shouldn’t disturb a couple?”

He bit Soren’s neck.

Soren gasped and shoved him away with what little strength he had left before stumbling into Rihaan’s arms, clutching his shirt desperately. His knees shook as he anchored himself to the alpha. His hands were still tied and he couldn’t hug Rihaan even if he wanted to.

”H-He was trying to take me—”

Rihaan pushed him aside instantly and lunged.

Claws tore through flesh and he stuck the knight’s face.

Blood splattered across the floor, tearing apart the man’s skin.

”Stop it!” Oliver shouted, reaching for a sword.

”How,”

Slash.

”Dare,”

Punch.

”You,”

Slash.

”Touch,”

Punch.

”Him?!”

With a final blow, Rihaan drove his claws into Oliver’s chest. If he could have, he would have torn out his heart.

How could he touch him?

Rihaan turned just as Soren whispered, ”R-Rihaan...”

Seeing Oliver motionless on the floor, blood pooling beneath him, Soren’s strength finally gave out. His knees buckled, and he collapsed.

He was... safe.

Rihaan caught him immediately, pulling him close.

”Are you alright?” he asked urgently. ”What did he do to you?”

The scent of sweet roses filled Soren’s senses.

He looked up at Rihaan, body flushed, trembling uncontrollably.

Oliver had succeeded in one thing.

His heat had started.

”The guards...” Soren breathed, lifting his gaze to the man before him. ”Call them. Put him in the dungeon. Right now.”

Though reluctant, Rihaan nodded.

He picked up the drape lying on the floor and wrapped it carefully around Soren’s half-naked body before lifting him into his arms. A low groan escaped him as he stood, the weight settling against his muscles, before he exited the room.

”It’s all right,” Rihaan murmured. ”You are safe now.”

He pressed a gentle peck to the omega’s forehead.

Soren didn’t know whether it was the kiss or the heat raging through his body, but warmth surged violently beneath his skin—stronger than ever before.

Rihaan reached the corridor where the guards had been stationed.

All of them lay sprawled across the red carpet, fast asleep. Soft snores filled the hall. There were no visible injuries—Oliver had clearly used sleeping medicine to knock them out.

Rihaan stopped in the middle of the corridor and nudged the nearest guard with his boot.

”Get up.”

The man startled awake, panic flashing across his face as he took in the scene—his fallen comrades, the blood on Rihaan’s clothes, the omega cradled in his arms.

”All of you,” Rihaan barked. ”On your feet. Now.”

The guards scrambled upright, disoriented but alert.

”There’s a man in the Imperial Crown Prince’s chambers,” Rihaan continued, his voice cold and sharp. ”Arrest him immediately. If he resists, restrain him by force.”

Their expressions shifted from confusion to horror.

”Yes, sir!” one of them shouted, and they rushed down the corridor in a flurry of armour and boots.

Rihaan turned away without waiting to see the outcome.

He carried Soren through the halls and into his own chambers. The omega did not ask why. He didn’t speak at all—his breathing was shallow, uneven, his body burning beneath the drape.

Rihaan laid him carefully on the bed.

Only then did Soren stir, fingers curling weakly into the sheets.

”Rihaan...” he whispered. ”The handcuffs. Please.”

Rihaan nodded at once. It was the second time Soren called him solely by his name. Even if the situation wasn’t the best, he was somewhat overjoyed.

His name sounded so sweet every time Soren pronounced it. As a prince, it was rare for people to refer to him simply by his name. But now, with Soren, he felt like he wasn’t a prince or anything of high rank.

Just Rihaan.

He took Soren’s wrists gently in his hands. Dark light flared around his fingers, magic pulsing once—then the iron shattered with a sharp crack, falling uselessly onto the floor.

The moment the restraints broke, Soren gasped.

His back arched as if struck by lightning, a broken sound leaving his throat. The air thickened instantly, omega pheromones flooding the room—sweet, overwhelming, desperate.

Rihaan stiffened. His body began to react—heat rushing through his lower part. No alpha could resist laying a finger on an omega in heat.

”Your Imperial Highness—”

”I-I can’t think,” Soren whispered, tears spilling anew. His eyes were unfocused, glassy, his cheeks flushed deep red. ”It hurts. Please... help me.”

His fingers reached out blindly, clutching at Rihaan’s sleeve as his body trembled.

Rihaan swallowed hard, jaw tightening as he forced himself to stay still, to stay in control. To not touch the omega he coveted. How was he to resist when the man himself was inviting him?

”Your Imperial Highness,” he said firmly, grounding, steady. ”Look at me. You are safe. I am here.”

But the heat was already taking hold. And Soren was starting to lose himself.

He didn’t listen. He pulled Rihaan down, letting himself fall on the soft mattress.

”Please...”

Rihaan’s heart raced rapidly. This was something he had only seen in his dreams—fantasies. Yet, he never dared to wish it to happen in reality.

”Your Highness—”

Soren cut him off, pulling him into a deep kiss.

The alpha’s eyes went wide and he stopped breathing for a moment. However, he returned the kiss, deepening it.

Slowly, he parted his mouth only for the omega to slide his tongue inside.

Rihaan didn’t resist nor pull back, closing his eyes, gently caressing the back of Soren’s head. He released some of his pheromones to calm the omega.

For some reason, it only worsened.

Soren’s remaining clothes came off before Rihaan realized it. He spread his legs, slick dripping down from his hole.

”Rihaan,” he panted, rubbing the alpha’s lower pants with his hands.

Rihaan’s pants were still on yet he felt like he was going to bust.

”S-Soren,” he whispered, his cheeks flushed. ”A-Are you sure? You are not in your right mind—”

Before he could finish his sentence, the sound of the zipper opening stopped him.

The omega set free his cock, rubbing its length with slow motion. He did it with such ease and practice that Rihaan didn’t need to think—he knew. He wasn’t the first to take him.

Still, he didn’t mind. It didn’t matter because now, he was the one by the omega’s side.
