Underneath Lan Waihu was a bloody pond that was gushing with blood. Many skulls were dancing within the savage sea. Her body was chained up by four thin silver chains as she was suspended in the air. The chains were not locking her limbs but instead passed through her humerus and ankle bones.

It was excruciating. Her small face was pale, and her forehead was full of sweat. Drop by drop collected at her chin, and from her chin, they dropped like puddles of sweat.

Within the vast emptiness of the skull’s eyes were wicked red lights, as if staring at Lan Waihu, thinking of jumping out and devouring her blood and flesh

For a couple of times, the white teeth of the skulls were about to brush themselves against the sole of her feet. She bit her lips tightly to prevent herself from letting out a cry. She was in pain! And in fear! However, no one was there to save her.

To be punished alive like that, every second was tormenting. It would be better if she died! Had it not been for the uneasiness in her heart, Lan Waihu would have killed herself by biting off her tongue.

Dying would be great; dying would mean no more painBut she had not been able to meet Yan Chen. She had not seen him for almost a year! How dearly she missed him.

Since they last bid goodbye, she had not been able to meet or contact him. To her dismay, Yan Chen did not contact her either. Perhaps he had let her go.

The longer they spent apart, the more she missed him. Especially now that the wedding was near, she longed for him even more and grew scared.

She never thought that the maidservant who had always been by her side would set her up in a trap, forcing her to leave a dangerous shed only to be dropped into a tiger’s claws.

“Brother Yan Che…” she muttered to herself. “Do you not want me anymore?”

“Of course he does not want you anymore!” From the corner emerged a woman’s voice that was full of rage. “Any man would not like such a feeble girl like you. Had it not been for your ancestry, why would the King of the Blue Fox family marry you? How are you compatible to be a national master? What is worse is your fascination for such an ordinary man like Yan Chen. You left the prestigious position of the Queen of the Blue Fox family, and instead, chose to run away with a man likened to dust.”

“Shut up!” Lan Waihu looked towards the origin of the voice with a pair of fiercely-looking eyes. “I would not allow you to disparage my Brother Yan Chen! He is the best man in the world; nothing likened to any dust You who conspired with the bad guys are the real dust!”

Above the pond was a floating round and translucent bloody ball. Within the ball was a young lady. The young lady had a head of seaweed-like long hair, with her clothes covering her body; her upper body was no different from a normal young lady, but her lower body had a green-colored fish tail. The young lady did not have any chains around herself, but she was curled up and trapped in the bloody ball.

She was a mermaid.

Lan Waihu was furious looking at the mermaid. She wanted to jump down and slash her with a knife!

After Lan Waihu was taken out of the Blue Fox family by her maidservant, the person who greeted them was that young mermaid lady.

She was alert enough to smell something fishy. However, as she was about to turn back and run, the mermaid immediately rushed towards her and grabbed her. With the help of the maidservant, Lan Waihu was defeated, and she fell into the hands of the mermaid.

That mermaid kept her confined within the bottom of a water ball.
