Gu Xijiu’s medicine worked wonders in sobering him up, but the first thing he realized was that she had run away, again.

He was really worried that she would run away from him again, so he tidied himself up and followed her steps. To his surprise, Gu Xijiu was actually busy preparing him a bath. His heart grew warm at what he saw.

He realized that his change of mood was a little dramatic. He would immediately feel good, as though every little thing that she did was magic.

Gu Xijiu was there, sitting on her bed. She could see Celestial Master Zuo taking a bath in her house as she looked across the curtain.

She tried to calm her mind by meditation. Just when she got onto the bed, she could hear Di Fuyi’s voice coming from behind the curtain, “Do you have [1] Yun Ling?”

The herb was specially made for baths. Gu Xijiu had it, but she could never have expected that Di Fuyi would use it as well.

“I do.”

“Send one for me.”

“Hmm, alright.”

Gu Xijiu took it out and sent it to him. He was still in the tub, after all. The tub was tall enough, revealing only his head and shoulders. At most, she would only see his shoulder and nothing else.

Di Fuyi sat leaning on the tub, with his hair flowing smoothly along his body. There was also a luminous night pearl spinning behind the curtains. Its charm was not too striking for the eyes. He laid one of his arms along the edge of the tub. Under the influence of the light, he looked stunning.

He fixed his eyes on her the moment she entered. Her skin crept a little under his intense gaze. She stood a few steps and threw the soap at him. “Nah, your Yun Ling is here. Catch it.”

“Dong!” The soap fell into the water and dissolved instantaneously. Di Fuyi turned to look at her again. “My head is still spinning a little, so I can’t catch well. Do you have a spare?”

Gu Xijiu clenched her fist, as she thought that he must have been bluffing her. Should she try throwing a few secret weapons at him? She was sure that he could disarm them all. However, she decided not to argue with him, for he had been standing in the rain all night for her. She did not expose his little bluff, either. She proceeded to take out a spare and waved at him. “This is the last one. There will be none if you fail to catch it.”

Di Fuyi reached out his hand. “Hand it to me.”

Gu Xijiu hesitated.

“I have just sobered up, so my head is still spinning. I don’t really have a lot of energy.” Di Fuyi sighed.

Gu Xijiu gave in and took a few steps towards him. She put it in his hand and said, “Alright…”

Before she could finish her sentence, he grabbed her wrist tightly and spun her around. With a splash, she was already sitting in the tub next to him, with his arms wrapped around her. He whispered softly in her ear, “Please don’t go anywhere else.”

Despite spending some time in the tub, the water was still warm. Gu Xijiu noticed that Di Fuyi’s breaths were even hotter than the water. “Baby, please don’t go anywhere else.”

She had never encountered such level of intimacy. This was her first time to experience his naked body. She could clearly feel the warmth and the smoothness of his skin. Anxiously, she did not know how to react. “Hey, I… I am not going anywhere. You should let go of me first.”
