They acknowledged her as their leader. Hence, they quickly followed her. Everyone seemed relieved ever since the formation was broken, but only Gu Xijiu was secretly still worried.

While she was scouting earlier, she not only found the CCTV but also noticed that it was an ancient and evil formation! The negative energy was powerful in the formation, and the snowstorm was unnatural. It was made using countless amounts of hatred and evil auras from dead souls. Hence, the snowflakes and the storms were engulfed by a massive amount of evil energy.

Besides that, the wizard barrier above the formation had prevented the evil energy from leaving the place. Gu Xijiu always had very good instincts, and she realized that someone was watching them when she was scouting the mansions!

It was as though a pair of evil eyes were watching every single one of her movements and it made her feel extremely uncomfortable.

And then she caught the scent of something incredibly evil. Although it had not shown up since the beginning, she knew that it was extremely dangerous, and none of them in the group could handle it!

According to the ’CCTV’ she discovered, she knew that the culprit behind the scene was the ’master of venomous spells’. He was also the father of Long Xi, the mad scientist! He should have been the one who was watching her earlier.

He was crazy about biochemistry and also practiced several different evil martial arts. Hence, it was no surprise if he was the cause of a biochemical disaster in this era. Moreover, he was insane, so they should expect something more powerful aside from the white-clothed zombies such as a zombie king. Perhaps, the extremely evil object she had sensed earlier was probably the zombie king!

She could not scout further as it would probably make them launch a counter-attack. She did not want to be trapped here! Therefore, Gu Xijiu decided to stop the investigation and met back with her friends after searching more than half the area.

She did not know what the primary objective of the mad scientist was. However, their situation was critical as they were exposed in broad daylight while their enemies were lurking in the dark. Therefore, Gu Xijiu destroyed all the CCTV so that their enemies would be more cautious when they were attacking and also give up on releasing the monster.

The culprit behind it was indeed much more alert and careful than what she expected. They were finally willing to let them go and had stopped manipulating the formation.

Of course, escaping was always their top priority at this moment!

When the snowstorm had stopped, Gu Xijiu also noticed the houses in the southeast direction was the way out. They could escape as long as they ran towards that direction.

The mad scientist was extremely unpredictable. Hence, Gu Xijiu needed to leave with her buddies before he changed his mind! Since she recognized the formation, she should be able to find the core of the formation.

The flagpole! The flagpole was the core of the formation, and the wizard barrier would disappear once the flagpole was destroyed. However, they could not simply break the wizard barrier as the barrier did not only trap humans but also prevented the white-clothed zombies from leaving the formation. All the hidden zombies would rush out once the barrier was broken, and it would be a catastrophe for the world. Therefore, the only thing she could do now was to escape and leave behind everything.

All of them flew closely behind her. Gu Xijiu felt relieved as she finally saw the exit. However, she suddenly heard a cracking sound in the sky and saw a bolt of lightning flashed above her head!
