I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 1109: Chapter 1109: Enhancement Skill Coveted Even by Monkeys

I’ve witnessed with my own eyes humans using various kinds of weapons, enhancing their combat power, utilizing all sorts of weapons to compensate for the frailty of their bodies.

After the extinction of humans on Blue Star, the apes discovered the weapons humans left behind and, mimicking humans, adorned themselves with various kinds of equipment.

Initially, the apes couldn’t grasp the role of the equipment, but as they came into contact with more and more types, they not only learned how to use various equipment, but also learned to differentiate between the levels and different sets of the equipment.

Blue Star reverted to a primitive era, a pure era where dominion over this planet depended on formidable strength and physical fitness.

On the entire Blue Star, there aren’t just a few creatures who are physically more powerful than the apes, it’s even not an exaggeration to say there are plenty of them.

But that’s not the case.

The apes, who resemble humans in size and possess high intelligence, have become the rulers of this planet.

Upon discovering that human equipment can bestow unimaginable combat power, the apes gave up the opportunity to increase their size. For increasing their size would only bring rapidly expanding blood bars, attack strength, and defense, and most of the rest would be disadvantages.

The energy required to maintain normal body function would keep increasing, and the increased size would make movements slower than before, most importantly, they couldn’t wear the remnants of human equipment.

Instead of competing in size, where apes can’t match most creatures, it’d be better to follow the humans’ example and use advanced wisdom to make up for their physical shortcomings.

After millenniums of development, this idea of the apes has been proven by the achievements they have today.

To further consolidate their position on this planet, they are figuring out how to become stronger. After all, the only path they can take is the path of wisdom, and if they can’t develop new abilities, the outcome is predictable.

The apes know that equipment can be enhanced.

Among the equipment humans left behind, there are a few that have enhancement levels.

Equipment with enhancement levels clearly provides much more benefit than the same type and level of equipment without it. Unfortunately, such equipment is very rare.

The ape leader knows that enhancement is a means to greatly improve the combat power of the ape tribe. As long as this ability is mastered, the position of the ape tribe on Blue Star will be unshakable.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t figure out the way to enhance equipment.

Upon learning that Lin Yi came for special materials, the ape leader astutely perceived that Lin Yi’s purpose might coincide with what they want.

Adhering to the principle of preferring to kill a thousand by mistake than let one slip, the ape tribe leader, Black Gold, plans to seize this opportunity to meet Lin Yi and see what that outsider human boy is up to on this planet.

The ruins of the Gongshu Clan are on the territory of the Dragon Country.

According to the information given by Gongshu De, Lin Yi found the precise coordinates easily.

Time flies like an arrow, the sun and moon shuttle back and forth.

The once illustrious sect is now in ruins, with not a trace that anyone lived here before.

The mountains and wilderness are covered with green vines, glaring in stark contrast, and together with the sands of time, they have buried everything that was once the presence of the Gongshu Clan.

If not for the precise information from Gongshu De, even with Lin Yi’s Eye of All-Seeing and Eyes of Golden Flame, he would never have thought that beneath this ground lies a great treasure.

Jumping off the back of the giant bald eagle, Lin Yi crouched down, gently stroking the ground beneath him, feeling the faint and peculiar energy, an energy many times more potent than high-grade spirit crystal ores.

Such resources can only be produced by a place as resource-rich as the Formless Realm.

Yes, this is the right place.

Lin Yi thought to himself with amazement.

Just as he was about to use Gravity Manipulation Skills to move the rocks and vegetation covering the old Gongshu site, Lin Yi’s nerves suddenly tingled.

With keen perception, Lin Yi clearly detected a formidable group, numbering in the thousands, with power rivaling that of a divine soldier, and the leader’s Divine Power Level reaching grade C, quickly closing in on him.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a group of tall apes.

Due to the apes having a certain level of intelligence, their expressions naturally reflected their current mindset.

”No, this kid isn’t that annoying, yet he’s attracted such a large group of monkeys. I don’t think you’re that unlikeable, so why is that?”

Perhaps because they were both monkeys, the Great Saint didn’t want Lin Yi to clash with this group of apes.

The difference in power between the two sides is indeed vast, and Lin Yi’s side does not look advantageous at all.

But the Great Saint knew very well that if a fight broke out, that group of aggressive monkeys would be no match for Lin Yi, and as a fellow kind, the Great Saint had some compassion.

”This lad really isn’t unpleasant, let’s not be hasty and see why that group of monkeys is here.”

Wo Zhiqi wasn’t so kind-hearted, but he also felt that there should be some reason to fight, if they could avoid becoming enemies, it would be best.

Bam bam bam~

Hundreds of shadows crashed heavily in front of Lin Yi, raising a large cloud of dust, even in the verdant old Gongshu site.

This ostentatious entrance seemed rather foolish to Lin Yi, but he kept his patience.

As the dust settled, a robust ape with black-golden fur strutted arrogantly in front of Lin Yi.

After a careful look, discovering that his opponent’s Divine Power Level was not far from his, Black Gold completely let down his guard against Lin Yi: No wonder this young kid would make that group of bare-feathered birds so wary. It turns out his Divine Power Level is the same as mine.

Being isolated from the outside world is akin to viewing the sky from the bottom of a well.

Even though being the strongest individual on the entire Blue Star currently, gathering significant resources from the planet, and boosting his Divine Power Level to grade C, Black Gold still couldn’t shake his identity as an ape.

Frankly speaking, this technique really overrates itself.

Thinking that reaching grade C in Divine Power Level would make one the strongest on Blue Star.

As for Lin Yi, the outsider, he was not to be feared; with his own set of equipment and a physique far superior to humans, defeating the physically weakest humans shouldn’t be difficult.

If worse comes to worst, there are countless strong fighters behind him.

Don’t be fooled by only this many of the ape tribe showing up; in critical moments, all creatures on Blue Star must heed Black Gold’s command!

With so many combined, he could tire Lin Yi out with just a war of attrition.

Thinking this way, Black Gold was bursting with arrogance.

”Heh, human boy, daring to intrude on my Blue Star without even greeting me, you don’t seem to take Black Gold seriously at all. Speak, what is your purpose here, what are you after, if your answer pleases me, perhaps I might really spare you.”
