Chapter 68: Chapter 68: The BOSS Becomes an Ally! The True Terror of the Necromancy Element!

Wow——!

The examination room where Li Qianye was, along with the high-level officials from Xia’s Education Department in the next room watching the battle.

All let out a wave of astonished exclamations!

They knew how powerful those two Roc birds were.

However, Lin Yi’s summoned creatures, just in the next instant after killing them.

Those two BOSSes instantly became Lin Yi’s summoned creatures.

This was somewhat exaggerated and defied the natural order!

“Is this a skill from the mage’s necromancy element?”

“Mr. Jiao! You’re damn well a mage, explain it to your brothers!”

In the examination room.

The atmosphere wasn’t that tense.

Li Qianye was also a good boss and leader.

So his subordinates could speak freely at this moment.

Immediately someone shouted.

The mentioned Mr. Jiao had a bewildered look.

Then he cursed loudly, “How the heck would I know what skills the necromancy element has?”

“You’re asking me, a light mage??”

“Isn’t that your light element’s nemesis, know your enemy right, I thought you knew!”

“Our light element’s nemesis is the dark element, the necromancy element at most is someone we’d spit on if we met, not a fight to the death.”

“Just stop arguing, I’m thinking.”

Mr. Jiao was somewhat unsettled by his colleagues.

Originally seeing Lin Yi, a mage with four elements and mastery in all, he was already a bit envious.

And now seeing Lin Yi use a resurrection skill he had never seen before.

It shocked him even more.

But to say he completely didn’t understand the necromancy element was also nonsense.

They were all top students who graduated from the 211 Professional University’s mage department, theory knowledge couldn’t be lacking.

After Li Qianye told him to think it over carefully.

Mr. Jiao finally slapped his thigh, pointed at the screen and said, “This skill isn’t supposed to be from the necromancy element!”

“The necromancy element does have a skill to reanimate the killed monsters, that skill is tier four, named Resurrection of the Dead.”

“But the effect can only apply to monsters below the lord level and the duration is only 2 minutes, with attribute values being less than a tenth compared to when alive.”

“This skill is mostly used by necromancy element mages as a meat shield or decoy.”

“After killing a monster, resurrecting an elite durable one to be a bodyguard, not for dealing much damage, but to block skills.”

Li Qianye listened to Mr. Jiao’s analysis.

His eyes showed a serious expression.

Lin Yi, is this your trump card?

…

Top council hall.

Mr. Meng had a slight smile on his lips, “Xiao, do you still think he has no chance now?”

Xiao Xuanyi was looking at the screen, where two Rocs in almost full might were flying over Lin Yi’s head, and remained silent.

Then he laughed freely, “Mr. Meng, in terms of foresight, your eyes are indeed keener.”

“I still have a lot to learn from you.”

Mr. Meng laughed heartily upon hearing this.

But then Xiao Xuanyi turned the topic and continued, “But even so, it’s still not enough.”

“Some gaps can’t be bridged by numbers.”

“Also, it’s still uncertain how many necromancy summoned creatures he can control.”

Xiao Xuanyi’s analysis wasn’t without reason.

For all summoners,

The number of summons is the most troublesome issue.

Because human spiritual power is limited, controlling multiple summoned creatures simultaneously can lead to mental overload.

So most summoners focus on quality over quantity.

Replacing low-quality summons with high-quality ones, always keeping the total number of summons unchanged.

To this, Mr. Meng merely watched Lin Yi on the big screen, and said calmly, “Just keep watching, this is only the beginning, this kid’s hidden potential far exceeds your imagination.”

…

In the instance.

After successfully killing the two Roc BOSSes, the remaining two chicks didn’t escape Lin You’s lethal moves either.

She was able to kill them instantly with one strike each.

Her level also rose to level 11.

At the same time, Lin Yi received a series of system notifications.

[Congratulations, you have reached LV.43, receiving 12 free attribute points.]

[Killing the monster granted the unique weapon Elegy of the Soul the following attribute values:]

[Strength +39, Agility +32, Endurance +29, Spirit +12, Max Life Value +177, Max Mana Value +13!]

Lin Yi saw the various attributes on Lin You’s panel skyrocket instantly.

Just by killing five monsters, nearly a hundred attribute points were gained for free.

Lin Yi was almost drooling with envy!

He could only gain 20 base four attribute points for leveling up, and with the free attribute points, it was still only 32 points.

No comparison to Lin You.

And as they continued slaying monsters, it was foreseeable that Lin You’s attribute panel would explode in growth.

A weapon that can grow is truly terrifying!

However actually it was Lin You’s demonstration of combat skills in that battle just now that left Lin Yi more astonished and amazed.

A fool who only knows how to swing a sword wildly compared to a skilled warrior with exquisite combat techniques and abundant experience.

Even if the two had tenfold differences in level and attributes, Lin Yi believed the latter had a higher chance of winning.

Lin Yi handed over control of the two Roc BOSSes to Lin You, then said, “It’s damn cold here, let’s head down the mountain first.”

Lin You nodded.

Under her control, the male and female Roc squatted docilely on the ground.

Lin Yi and Lin You mounted them.

The Rocs then flapped their wings, engulfing them in a gust of wind, diving down from the mountaintop.

An hour later.

The edge of the Eastern Hilly Zone.

Lin Yi sat in a lush grassy field, the gentle breeze blowing and the sun warm.

Not far away was a lake formed by melted snow from the mountains.

At the lakeside, Lin You was there, she took off her black armor covering her whole body, and began wiping and cleaning with lake water.

The recent battle left her covered in blood.

Of course, most of it was from the two BOSSes.

She herself was almost uninjured.

Beside the lake, a bonfire was burning, and on it was a freshly slain chick of the Silver Feather Roc.

The girl was washing her armor while keeping a close watch on the food over the fire, occasionally standing up to turn the grill, slicing with her sword.

The lake, like a huge mirror, reflected the girl’s stunning profile.

Even Lin Yi felt a bit amazed.

Soon, Lin Yi saw Lin You walking over with some freshly grilled, sizzling meat pieces on some leaves she picked up from who knows where.

The aroma was irresistible, and Lin Yi didn’t care about the heat.

He picked up a piece of meat with his hand and started chewing it.

The mixture of grease and meat flavor exploded in his mouth, making Lin Yi inwardly exclaim how delicious it was.

“You also know how to cook?”

Lin Yi increasingly felt that this summoned creature of his was something special.

Hmm, couldn’t look at her as a summoned creature anymore.

She should be seen more as a partner.

Lin You nodded and then softly said, “I found some rock salt over there, picked some to use as seasoning, does it taste good?”

“Delicious!” Lin Yi praised without reservation.

He picked up another piece of meat and put it into his mouth.

Seeing Lin Yi eating so happily, a rare smile appeared on Lin You’s face.

It seemed she was also very happy to receive Lin Yi’s praise.

Just at that moment, Lin Yi suddenly felt the spirit crystal watch on his right wrist vibrate a bit.

A light screen then appeared.

[It has been 1 hour since the start of the fifth test!]

[Current leaderboard announced!]

On the light screen, names or teams began to appear one by one.
