Rise of The Demon General

Chapter 377: Chapter 377. Connected

Now that Amon no longer needed negative emotions to cultivate his infernal cultivation, he had no more use for Wu Qiu. He incapacitated him using a paralyzing drug before carrying him into the portal that contained Yuka’s prison.

”Oh? I get to taste a human today?” Yuka said excitedly when Amon showed up with Wu Qiu in tow. He normally brought spirit beasts to feed her.

”What... What is that...?!” Wu Qiu screamed in horror when he laid eyes on the Zuanze Butterfly. He was incapacitated but not unconscious. He could feel her fearsome aura.

”Hehe. I have been missing human flesh since I devoured two cultivators on the day we met,” Yuka uttered. She kept licking her lips while speaking. ”I thought I must wait until the day I am free before consuming another one. This is a pleasant surprise.”

Amon threw an empty vial at her. ”Fill it up,” Amon commanded.

”Sure,” Yuka replied. She proceeded to prick a wound and fill the vial with her blood. She was much more cooperative than before because of the delicacy Amon brought.

”Done,” Yuka flung the vial back to Amon, who caught it.

Amon carried Wu Qiu and walked forward.

Wu Qiu wasn’t dumb. He understood what was going on from Yuka and Amon’s conversation. He shouted in panic, ”No! No...! Please! Have mercy...! I will do whatever you want! Don’t kill me! Don’t eat me...! Please...!!!”

He was powerless, though. He was paralyzed. All he could do was yell hysterically.

Amon walked past the edge of Yuka’s prison diagram, which drew a frown from Yuka. All this time, when Amon brought an offering to her, he never walked past that edge. He always threw the offering from a safe distance away. This time, he entered her prison and kept approaching her.

Yuka observed Amon in silence. She was wondering what he was up to. She stayed still until Amon was halfway toward her. She sprung forward then.

Her human eyes were on Amon, but the eyes on her wings watched the giant puppet. The puppet didn’t show any signs of moving.

The direction she was lunging was toward Wu Qiu, who shrieked frantically as she approached. The large mouth filled with sharp teeth in her belly was wide open. She appeared to be ready to swallow Wu Qiu with a bite. However, she suddenly changed direction when she was close. The one she was targeting changed to Amon.

Amon didn’t show any sign of surprise. Instead, he lifted his left arm, which discharged a kind of black fog. Yuka’s oversized mouth bit into this black fog. The black fog was blasted from the contact. An inhuman howl of pain was heard.

Amon flew away from the impact. He was still grabbing Wu Qiu, so Wu Qiu moved away with him.

Yuka was too shocked to give chase. She expected to bite through Amon’s entire body with one bite. Yet, even the arm Amon used to block was not harmed. While she was still processing the incident, the giant puppet slammed into her from the side. The giant puppet continued to pummel her until she was back in the inner circle of her prison. Then only did it stop. By then, Amon and Wu Qiu were already out of her reach.

”You... How did you block me?” Yuka asked.

Before Amon replied, she saw the answer. The black fog that covered Amon’s left arm was almost blown out upon contact with her. It was slowly reforming and becoming a distinct shape.

”Rarrgghh...! That hurts!” Bo Wu exclaimed once he reformed. The fog that formed it was blurry. It wasn’t as dense as it usually was. This showed it received tremendous damage from the impact just now.

”Are you trying to kill me?” It complained to Amon.

”I was trying to get an extent of how durable you are,” Amon replied. ”Now I know you can endure an attack from a Lord Stage power.”

”Screw you! I can endure it because that thing is impaired!” Bo Wu exclaimed. It continued to snarl angrily. Amon let it vent out. Suddenly, it became calm and said, ”Hmph! I know you want to get rid of me. You don’t trust me, do you? Let me tell you something. I may have no choice but to protect your arm. However, if I am destroyed by any means, you won’t be unscathed.”

”What do you mean?” Amon asked.

”I am tied to you in more ways than you think. If I die, your demon core will receive a massive backlash. At best, you will lose half your cultivation. At worst, your demon core will be crippled. You can never use it again.”

Amon frowned. Was this creature bluffing him?

He redirected his consciousness into his black energy core. He didn’t notice at first, but now that he had paid attention, he saw several fine threads, almost invisible, latching on his black energy core. He used his control over his energy space to pull those threads off or cut them. Despite their seemingly fragile appearance, the threads refused to be destroyed or let go of his black space core.

”Hehehe, forget it. It was my master who connected us. You can forget about trying to cut me off,” Bo Wu could sense what Amon tried to do.

”I thought I was your master?” Amon asked.

”Of course, you are. You are my second master. I can have many masters, hehehe,” Bo Wu chuckled.

”Stop your laugh. It annoys me.”

”Make me, sucker. Hahaha!” Bo Wu talked back.

”I see you wish to taste more pain,” Amon uttered. He approached the edge of Yuka’s prison diagram.

”Wait, wait! You truly have no sense of humor. I can’t imagine how anyone can stand you,” Bo Wu said. ”I bet you are a selfish loner no one likes to be around.”

”I don’t need you to like me. I need you to obey me,” Amon returned.

”Tsk! As you wish, master. No more laughing.”

”To reward your obedience and compensate you for the damage you endured, you may have him.”

Amon didn’t indicate who he meant, but everyone there knew who he was referring to.

”Wait! Wait...! I can... Don’t...!!”

Wu Qiu failed to complete his incoherent speech because Bo Wu transformed into a large-mouthed creature with sharp teeth. It almost swallowed Wu Qiu with one chomp. The only remaining parts of Wu Qiu were his hands and feet, which were severed from Bo Wu’s powerful chomp. Those parts were soon gone as Bo Wu licked them up and swallowed them. The black fog that formed it became less blurry and more tangible after it had its fill.

”Yum!” It exclaimed.

”Hey! He is supposed to be my prey...!” Yuka shouted.

”Consider this your penalty for trying to harm me,” Amon told Yuka. ”You will not receive any meal this month. I will come back again next month.”

”Fuck you!” Yuka cursed angrily. ”This is not our agreement. You give me a meal in exchange for my blood! Come back here! I’m going to dice you up, you piece of filthy demon!”

While cursing, she slammed her heavy body onto the floor repeatedly. Her wings flapped violently, conjuring powerful winds. Amon ignored her tantrum. He walked to the exit.

”Hehehe, I love seeing a loser fuming,” Bo Wu laughed.

”What did I say about laughing?” Amon asked.

”Yes, master. No laughing it is, hehe,” Bo Wu made a soft chuckle as it receded into Amon’s arm, turning back into a tattoo.

Coming out of the prison portal, Amon stored the prison box back in his black space ring. He immediately got to work with Yuka’s blood and drank the concoction he made. The pain he felt from drinking the concoction was getting less and less. If he no longer felt pain from drinking it, that would be the indicator that he had completed the Poison Blood Infusion Method.

This Poison Blood Infusion Method not only provided a highway for his divine cultivation but also his infernal cultivation. His infernal cultivation had just increased to the Beginning Malevolent Stage. When he broke through, he didn’t feel the bottleneck like he used to. His cultivation simply crossed through to the upper level once it hit the ceiling.

Infernal cultivation’s Malevolent Stage was roughly equal to the divine cultivation’s Transformation Stage. His black energy core was catching up to his normal energy core. His mixed energy space could now hold more fused energy, providing him with more ammunition. Depending on how much energy his art consumed, he could perform around four to six times using this fused energy.

After practicing the Poison Blood Infusion Method, Amon noticed a message in the official notification system of his residence. He had been summoned to the principal’s office.

’What is it now?’ Amon thought.

He had now entered the final year of the senior class. He preferred to lay low until he carried out the final phase of his plan in this Royal Academy, which was soon. Still, he couldn’t just ignore this official summon.

He exited his residence. Probably the tutors wanted to offer him a special mission. If it was so, he would reject it. Anything was simply a distraction at this stage.
