Supreme Warrior in the City

Ge Kaiyang pondered for a while and said, ”Is it because I have a grudge against Lv Donglin, so you want me to keep an eye on him?”

The Jade-faced Judge shook his head and said softly, ”Yang, I’ve told you many times. What we are about to do is an unparalleled grand plan. In the face of our grand plan, other matters are merely personal grudges, and are hardly worth mentioning!”

Ge Kaiyang’s expression was slightly awkward. He took a deep breath and quickly said in a low voice, ”Grandfather, I was wrong. I will never prioritize these personal grudges again!”

The Jade-faced Judge looked at him calmly and said softly, ”In the future, you will take over the legacy I have built. If you still can’t separate personal grudges from your work, how long will you be able to maintain this legacy?”

Ge Kaiyang was full of shame and quickly said, ”Grandfather, I know I was wrong, and I will definitely correct my mistakes in the future.”

”I hope you can correct them!” The Jade-faced Judge said softly, getting up again to walk to the window, quietly looking in the direction of Yan Gui City, his thoughts unknown.

Ge Kaiyang stood behind, watching the Jade-faced Judge’s back, his heart surging. After a while, he finally calmed his inner tremor and walked behind the Jade-faced Judge, whispering, ”Grandfather, Lv Donglin ran away, which means the Beigong War God must have made preparations. He sent Lv Donglin to Su Yang, so Su Yang won’t worry about things here. Then... then it will be difficult for us to get Su Yang to show himself...”

The Jade-faced Judge stood with his hands behind his back, calmly saying, ”You still haven’t understood me, nor do you understand why I wanted you to keep an eye on this Lv Donglin!”

Ge Kaiyang looked embarrassed and lowered his head, saying, ”I’m sorry, Grandson is dull and really...really can’t figure it out...”

The Jade-faced Judge glanced at him and said, ”I wanted you to keep an eye on Lv Donglin so that once he leaves, you can turn a blind eye and pretend you don’t know anything!”

”Ah?” Ge Kaiyang was taken aback, looking blankly at the Jade-faced Judge, not understanding what he meant.

”The Beigong War God is not a simple person, and dealing with him is no easy task!” the Jade-faced Judge said softly, ”He knows what we want to do, so he will definitely send Lv Donglin away first. If we publicize this matter, once the people of the four Major Sects know, they will definitely track Lv Donglin and thus look for Su Yang. But this is not our goal!”

”Then... then our... our goal is...” Ge Kaiyang asked in confusion.

The Jade-faced Judge sighed. He had high hopes for this grandson, but Ge Kaiyang’s intelligence worried him.

”Our goal is the four Major Sects!” the Jade-faced Judge said sternly.

Ge Kaiyang finally remembered and nodded repeatedly, ”Right, right, our... our goal is the four Major Sects. I... I... I was a bit rushed just now and forgot about this.”

After saying that, Ge Kaiyang was once again embarrassed and said in a low voice, ”But... but this time, regarding the Beigong War God, isn’t our... our goal Su Yang?”

”Our goal has always been the four Major Sects!” the Jade-faced Judge said, ”Su Yang can be considered our backup target, but the four Major Sects are our true goal. As for the Beigong War God, our aim in dealing with him this time is also to deplete the strength of the four Major Sects, not as others say, to draw out Su Yang!”

Ge Kaiyang suddenly realized and nodded repeatedly, ”I understand, I understand. Right, right, it’s to deplete the strength of the four Major Sects. Also, our previous investigation of the ends of the earth was to sow discord among the four Major Sects and cause internal strife among them.”

The Jade-faced Judge nodded and said softly, ”It’s good that you understand, so don’t concern yourself with the matters of Lv Donglin and Su Yang anymore. As long as the Beigong War God is still here, this battle will definitely erupt, and our plan will not have any issues!”

Ge Kaiyang pondered for a while and said in a low voice, ”Grandfather, the Beigong War God’s strength is not weak, and he is very difficult to deal with. After settling Lv Donglin, he might have resolved to escape. Relying on just the four Major Sects to stop him will not be easy!”

Ge Kaiyang looked at the Jade-faced Judge, wondering if this time the Jade-faced Judge would personally take action. After all, when dealing with Buddha Palace Mahakaya last time, the Jade-faced Judge only took action once. How much effort would he devote to dealing with the Beigong War God this time?

The Jade-faced Judge smiled, ”He won’t be able to escape!”

Ge Kaiyang was puzzled, not understanding what the Jade-faced Judge meant.

The Jade-faced Judge said nothing further, simply looked quietly in the direction of Yan Gui City, and softly said, ”Tomorrow night is the final deadline. Beigong War God, do not disappoint me!”

Time quickly passed, and it soon came to the final deadline set by the four Major Sects for the Beigong War God.

However, the four Major Sects did not directly engage in battle with the Beigong War God. Some senior members of the four Major Sects, led by the Second Elder, came to see the Jade-faced Judge.

Although the Jade-faced Judge had arrived at Yan Gui City, he publicly claimed to be in semi-seclusion, making it inconvenient for him to appear.

It was precisely because of this claim that the four Major Sects did not assign him any tasks, otherwise, the Jade-faced Judge might have been deployed to various locations by the four Major Sects long ago.

The Second Elder led the group, and the Jade-faced Judge personally greeted them outside. However, the Jade-faced Judge appeared to be very weak, with a pale complexion, as if recovering from a serious illness.

After some pleasantries, they all went into the inner chamber. As soon as they entered, the Second Elder said in a deep voice, ”Old Ge, the time is almost up, but Su Yang shows no intention of appearing. It seems our plan may have failed!”

In terms of age, the Jade-faced Judge was even older than the Second Elder, so it was normal for the Second Elder to refer to him as Old Ge.

However, the looks from these people toward the Jade-faced Judge were not friendly. After all, the plan was proposed by the Jade-faced Judge. As things developed to this point and the deadline loomed without eliciting Su Yang, the responsibility lay with the Jade-faced Judge.

”Cough, cough...” The Jade-faced Judge weakly coughed twice, as if seriously ill, and sighed, ”I didn’t expect that this Su would act so ruthlessly. He appears noble and righteous outwardly, yet in reality, when faced with challenges, he is nothing but a coward. Alas, this time, I truly miscalculated!”
