Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

The filming that day didn’t last particularly long, but thanks to the fast-paced internet environment, both domestic and international online platforms were now buzzing with enthusiastic discussions about the public street filming of ”Fast Speed Shadow 7”.

By the dinner hour in the evening, the surrounding crowd had grown larger and larger, with people gradually starting to push towards the center. Even with a large number of security personnel managing the scene, things were slowly getting out of control. So, the production team’s group finally prepared to retreat.

Thus, the grand and spectacular public filming came to an end.

When Xiao He returned to the hotel, he was feeling a bit dazed.

Mainly, he was a little dizzy from the excited shouts at the scene.

After sitting on the sofa for a good while to decompress, Xiao He finally regained his composure.

However, compared to Xiao He’s leisurely state, Liu Rulan was much busier. The phone in her hand never stopped ringing. Even Xiao Chen was swamped, meticulously processing the photos taken on-site and coordinating with the domestic team, having them handle all the on-site photos and behind-the-scenes footage, ready to launch the first wave of heat marketing at any moment.

Xiao He looked left and right, rarely finding himself to be the most idle person for once.

But he was quite content with this. After pacing around the room a few times, he simply put on a hat and a mask, said goodbye to Liu Rulan, and went out for a stroll.

After all, the scene had already been cleared, and no one would notice he had slipped out of the hotel again.Thinking this, Xiao He hummed a tune as he walked out of the elevator.

A few minutes later, an unfamiliar young assistant poked his head out.

Watching Xiao He leave alone, he turned and walked in another direction.

...

A few minutes later, a certain corner of the plaza.

A figure wearing a hat and the hood of a sweatshirt glided over the wide stair rail on a skateboard, then nimbly jumped into the air, swiftly flipping the skateboard in hand, and finally landed steadily, carving a smooth arc across the level ground—

The watching teenagers whistled, cheering for such a successful move.

The young man’s expression remained unchanged. He just flicked the tail end of the skateboard, stopping it stylishly in front of a teenager. Then, he stepped on one end of the board, scooped up the lifted skateboard back into his hand, and returned it to the Chinese teenager before him.

”Wow, dude, are you faking it? How could you learn it in one go?” Ban Zheyu’s face showed clear surprise, followed by sudden understanding as he winked suggestively at Xiao He. ”I get it, I get it. You just want to show off big time in front of these little foreigners! That’s really something, I support you!”

Who told these guys to always exclude them and gossip about them behind their backs? When you get a chance, you gotta show off big!

Ban Zheyu was pleased, taking his skateboard back.

Xiao He didn’t explain that he really was a beginner, just smiled and said, ”Thanks for the skateboard.”

”Hey, are you an international student too?” Ban Zheyu asked curiously. ”I don’t think I’ve seen you in the group chat.”

The other person had both a mask and a hat on, completely covering up, clearly unwilling to let people see his face. So, Ban Zheyu felt a bit embarrassed to stare too closely.

”No, I came to watch the film crew shoot.”

Xiao He answered casually.

”Oh, I see—”

Ban Zheyu understood, then said with some regret for Xiao He, ”Ah, then you came too late. The crew packed up and left a while ago!”

Xiao He glanced at Ban Zheyu, his expression a bit odd. ”Hmm, I know. So I’m just wandering around nearby— You came to see the crew too? I thought you came with your friends to skate.”

Ban Zheyu said sheepishly, ”My older sister likes Xiao He, so I came to check it out for her and take some photos. But after the crowd dispersed, I happened to run into a few people skating here, so I temporarily joined them to play for a bit.”

”Is that so...”

The corner of Xiao He’s mouth twitched.

If he remembered correctly, this guy was also in the fan group by the roadside earlier. When he saw Xiao He getting out of the car, he shouted as if his heart was being torn out.

Was he also shouting that for his sister?

Hah, such a male fan, saying one thing but meaning another...

Xiao He’s gaze swept over a certain spot, then he looked down at the time on his phone and thanked Ban Zheyu again. ”Thanks for the skateboard. I should get going now.”

It was about time to head back.

”Oh, oh, okay, see you!”

Ban Zheyu completely failed to realize that the person talking to him was Xiao He, who had just been filming with the crew. Still holding his skateboard, he grinned foolishly, ready to rejoin the challenge group over there and take on the stairs again.

Xiao He glanced to the side, then got up and left.

However, as he was leaving the plaza, his footsteps paused. He then turned and headed towards a secluded side street.

It was the time when the sun was setting, and the sky was gradually darkening. But when walking in a secluded alley, the oppressive and gloomy atmosphere was something the fading light overhead couldn’t change. The faint stench could still be smelled from time to time.

Xiao He walked for a bit, then suddenly stopped.

This alley was just the most common kind found on the streets. It provided a shortcut through the buildings lining the street, leading to another road—a very convenient little path. However, because these places were perpetually in the shadows between buildings, rarely touched by sunlight, few pedestrians passed through here. Instead, they had become a haven for the homeless or troublemakers.

Not far from Xiao He’s feet, a syringe even lay discarded.

It was clear these places were completely unmonitored, dark corners.

If you were just an ordinary person, you definitely wouldn’t walk through these areas.

And Xiao He, he wasn’t ordinary.

—And the people in front of him clearly weren’t either.

Standing before Xiao He now were two burly men who looked very fierce. Their sheer bulk, just by standing there, completely blocked the path ahead. When Xiao He turned to look behind him, he found two more people blocking his retreat.

They were like walls, sealing off both his forward and backward paths.

Xiao He narrowed his eyes. ”Who sent you?”

Ever since arriving in this land of freedom, his sense for his own kind hadn’t stopped. Almost every time he looked up, he could spot several fellow ”carriers” with some ”burden” on them. However, most of these people hadn’t committed serious enough crimes yet, so Xiao He usually didn’t interfere.

As for this group in front of him, they didn’t carry the scent of blood. But based on the aura he sensed, they were most likely involved in the underworld, dabbling in all sorts of vices—no good people. Xiao He had noticed these guys when he left the hotel. He just wasn’t entirely sure if they were after him or if it was a coincidence. So, he took the opportunity to play with the skateboard and lingered in the plaza a while longer.

Now the case was solved. They were indeed after him.

Judging by their stance, while they weren’t here to kill him, it was easy to guess they weren’t up to any good.

Xiao He was genuinely puzzled.

He had been working diligently with the crew all this time, treating everyone else very kindly. Which petty, narrow-minded person had he offended, who just couldn’t let it go and hired people to rough him up?

Xiao He didn’t think he was usually that hateable!

Suspects flashed through his mind. Xiao He tugged at the corner of his mouth and let out a cold laugh.

”Hehe.”
