Chapter 2953: The Second Eye

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

A missing Heavenly Dao Fat Ball + “Heavenly Dao Completion Plan” + a Daoist willing to sacrifice himself to complete the Heavenly Dao = two Heavenly Daos existing in the same era.

However, in this situation, while both the “Heavenly Dao Fat Ball” and the “Daoist” are considered the Heavenly Dao of the 8th era, they didn’t achieve enlightenment at the same time…

Moreover, the Daoist’s ability to attain the 8.5th era’s immortality hinges on the “Heavenly Dao Fat Ball” being gone.

If the Heavenly Dao Fat Ball were still alive before the ritual was completed, the Daoist’s sacrifice to complete the Heavenly Dao would only serve to perfect the “Heavenly Dao Fat Ball,” essentially sending a lamb to the slaughter and filling in the Fat Ball’s missing parts to make it a perfect sphere!

What Song Shuhang and Senior White want is for “two different entities to achieve immortality simultaneously,” so they can’t follow the Heavenly Dao Fat Ball and Daoist model.

However, there’s one thing to be borrowed from the Heavenly Dao Fat Ball and Daoist model—the concept that two incomplete entities can achieve enlightenment simultaneously as the Heavenly Dao of the same era!

As long as these two incomplete entities can complement each other—just like the Daoist completing the Heavenly Dao Fat Ball—there’s a chance, with the right manipulation, for them to achieve immortality together.

Senior White’s idea was to use Song Shuhang’s “neither life nor death” Eternal Life Path attribute to see if it could create two complementary entities—one that’s half-dead, the other half-alive?

Senior White described his idea in the temporary discussion group.

…

“So, what Senior White is suggesting is that before attaining ‘immortality,’ we should first damage the two candidates for enlightenment—damage them to the point of losing part of their existence, similar to the Heavenly Dao Fat Ball. The parts they lose should be able to complement each other, like one losing the upper half of their body while the other loses the lower half?” Senior White Two mused.

Senior White nodded, “That’s the idea.”

“But Shuhang’s ‘neither life nor death’ Eternal Life Path might not necessarily create two complementary incomplete entities,” Senior White Two pondered.

Finally, Song Shuhang found an opportunity to speak up: “In that case, we can ask @Cheng Lin Fairy… Cheng Lin Fairy, when the Daoist was completing the Heavenly Dao, was he fully intact? Or was he missing parts?”

“Missing parts,” Cheng Lin Fairy replied.

Song Shuhang pressed further, “What was missing?”

“The Confucian Sage left behind a book called ‘Confucian Classics,’ which had the ability to bite off part of the Heavenly Dao Fat Ball’s existence. The Daoist used the ‘Confucian Classics’ to activate this ability and bit off a part of himself,” Cheng Lin Fairy explained.

Song Shuhang: “…”

The Daoist was ruthless.

Being cruel to oneself is true cruelty.

“Is the Confucian Sage’s ‘Confucian Classics’ still usable?” Senior White Two asked.

Cheng Lin Fairy shook her head, “I’m afraid not. The Sage’s innate ability, which was attached to the ‘Confucian Classics,’ only manifested when the Daoist activated the book… It was an added effect from the Sage, not an inherent skill of the book itself.”

Senior White from the present world sighed in regret, “What a pity. If we could have studied the Confucian Sage’s ability, perhaps Nine Serenities White and I could have replicated it.”

“How about we wait until the Daoist is free, and I’ll retrieve the ‘Confucian Classics’ to see if there’s any trace of the Sage’s power left?” Song Shuhang suggested.

The “Confucian Classics” is officially in the care of Creation Fairy, but it was borrowed by Mad Blade Three Waves and eventually handed over to the Daoist.

As Song Shuhang spoke, a strange “resonance of the Great Dao” echoed through the void of the heavens and all realms.

This was the 8.5th Heavenly Dao, the “Daoist,” after his ascension, becoming familiar with the Heavenly Dao’s laws and beginning his first attempt to harness the power of the Great Dao.

In other words, it was the new Heavenly Dao’s first command to the heavens and all realms, a direct intervention by the Heavenly Dao.

Under the Daoist’s attempt, a “fate-altering” rule descended from the void.

The Confucian Golden Lotus World opened automatically.

The Second Tribulation Immortal, Wen Zi.

The Third Tribulation Immortal, Yan Zi.

The Seventh Tribulation Immortal, the dull Chi Zi.

The Eleventh Tribulation Immortal, Yu Zi.

Four Confucian Tribulation Immortals, plus Yuan Zi, possessed by a strand of the Kun King’s consciousness, stepped out of the Confucian Golden Lotus World simultaneously.

That “fate-altering” power fell upon them.

The “death karma” that lingered over Wen Zi, Yan Zi, Chi Zi, and Yu Zi was directly severed.

The faint aura of death on them vanished, replaced by boundless vitality.

Their previously “incomplete resurrection” was fully completed under the power of the 8.5th Heavenly Dao.

Each of the thirteen Confucian Tribulation Immortals had the potential to attain immortality… Now, with these four Tribulation Immortals fully resurrected, their bodies complete, all they needed was time to eventually take the final step towards becoming Eternal Beings.

The “Yuan Zi” nearby was also enveloped by the fate-altering power.

However, the Heavenly Dao’s power only flashed across his body before disappearing, as if something had changed, yet nothing seemed different.

The Second Tribulation Immortal, Wen Zi, glanced at “Yuan Zi” in confusion… Could it be that Yuan Zi’s consciousness hadn’t fully dissipated? His body wasn’t just an empty shell, but rather waiting for the right moment to regain consciousness?

Aside from the five Confucian Tribulation Immortals who remained, the Daoist’s power spread across the heavens and all realms, scattering six more strands of “fate-altering” power.

Among these six, two had the attribute of “completing an incomplete resurrection array.” The remains and resurrection arrays of these two Tribulation Immortals had always been secretly kept by the Daoist.

The other four had the effect of healing severe injuries—over the years, four heavily wounded Confucian Tribulation Immortals had secretly taken turns guarding the Confucian sect.

However, due to their severe injuries, they spent most of their time in seclusion, healing.

Now, under the Daoist’s power, the injuries of these four Tribulation Immortals were healed.

“Senior Brother.” When the four Tribulation Immortals opened their eyes, they couldn’t help but tear up.

What their master couldn’t accomplish, their senior brother had done!

After taking care of his thirteen junior brothers’ aftereffects in one go, the Daoist slightly frowned—yet there was no trace of his youngest junior brother, the Glazed Scholar.

The Daoist sighed deeply.

He gently closed the “Confucian Classics,” and suddenly, an object emerged from within, lightly landing in his hand.

It was an eye, seemingly ordinary at first glance.

Yet, this eye was one that could make cultivators across the heavens and Nine Serenities tremble—it was feared by all because of Tyrannical Song’s reputation.

“The teacher’s eye.” The Daoist carefully cradled it.

The appearance of the Confucian Sage’s eye was a gesture of comfort for the Daoist, telling him that he had done well.

The Daoist stared blankly at the eye in his hand.

After pondering for a moment, the Daoist suddenly tossed it lightly.

The “Confucian Classics” and the “Sage’s Eye” both vanished into the void, heading in Song Shuhang’s direction.
