Beastmaster of the Ages

As the hundred thousand cosmic gods of Dreadstar Universe City trembled in hatred and glared outside their city defenses, a loud explosion could be heard from the middle of their city. They all turned around instantly and saw a purple figure rise into the clouds, glowing with such intensity that the entire city was outshined. He dominated a city solo. The devas within looked at him blankly.

”How did he get in....” That question was no longer important! The killer who had sealed off their entire star had descended with the kind of might that stunned everyone.

”Activate more formations!”

”Run!”

They had thought that the city was a safe haven, only to find that they were trapped within it with their hunter! The devas ran off in desperation and shock.

”Do not fear!”

”Why are we afraid? We have so many more people! We can crush him by mass alone!”

Though such sentiments could be heard, they numbered in the minority. As the city fell into complete chaos, the bundle of radiant light charged into the crowd, culling crowds wherever he passed!

”What is that?!”

Many cosmic gods began to panic. A gigantic tree of light suddenly bloomed right at the center of Dreadstar Universe City, its blinding black roots spreading all over the place. Sword-shaped leaves rained down nonstop from the sky! It was Xian Xian, the Radix World Tree!

Apart from that, a phoenix of black and crimson, a feline beast covered in monochrome lightning, and a gigantic twin-headed dragon appeared in the sky. Two bundles of clouds also flooded the entire city and sealed it off. Near the cosmic gods were also many crawling insects of metal. They formed a sea of silver and metal cages that trapped everyone within!

”All these are lifebound beasts!”

”Why are they so powerful even though they’re not cosmic crest beasts? Who do they belong to?!”

The devas were filled with fear and doubt about their encounters with Tianming’s lifebound beasts. The beasts were only second-level cosmic gods who weren’t that strong to begin with. But when Tianming shared omnisentient power with them, they all got much more powerful individually!

”I have chosen to fight in my fused form the whole time because I’ve always fought in duels. But in this situation, I can become a one-man army to speed things up!” As such, Tianming split up from his beasts and they all went slaughtering in different directions. Xian Xian controlled the whole city while Ying Huo attacked from the skies to target distant cosmic gods. Meow Meow zipped around and launched abilities all over the place, while Lan Huang used its Kilofold Rings to charge into crowds, stomping and grinding them to bits and turning them into hard spheres! Bai Ling and Bai Ye also unleashed their powers in the form of bubbles and soul power sword ki.

”And here come my totems and divine wonder!” Tianming’s grand lexicon wonder was operating at full swing. Words appeared all over the place and began to apply pressure like heavy tombstones. His totems had also been deployed outside his sword, acting on their own as sworddragons through the power of the 60-fold simulacrum hypercharged with omnisentient power.

This way of fighting quintupled Tianming’s effectiveness! He managed to dominate the entire battlefield in an instant. Tianming had never used this crowd-combat capability of his for a long time. Eighth, who was forced to remain with Tianming, teared up at the sight of its elder siblings hunting down food for it.

”Those who aren’t my kin shall be slain.” Tianming could see far too many scenes of the flameyellow descendants’ suffering the moment he closed his eyes. Their hate was being transferred into his mind. He didn’t even need to watch each scene with great detail to know how cruelly they had been treated, constantly worried that he would be driven into an incarnation of hatred that was ironically not as effective in delivering the vengeance that they so desired.

”All these years... all these generations of people.... Today only marks the start of their vengeance.” Tianming knew that this day would eventually come, just not so soon. All he could say was that the slaves who had lived and died in all those fortuna-class worlds had been waiting for far too long.

His eyes were red the whole way through. He recalled Long Qian, Long Xing, and the rest. The flameyellow descendants’ experiences had been deeply engraved on his heart, and the Midsky Tristars were the most common kind of fortuna-class world. The Ten Desolate Starforges had nearly a thousand such orbiters, all of which contained flameyellow descendants. Their positions would be even lower, and they would suffer even worse treatment! The Middlekin Star Ruin was but the tiniest fraction of the Upper Star Ruin as a whole.

The Heavenly Dao Arena within the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins had indeed been of great help to Tianming, broadcasting his deeds for people in distant worlds to see. It created the connection necessary for him to understand their stories as well.

While he was alone in physical presence, many other hot-blooded fighters in distant worlds gripped their fists and relished in the taste of vengeance. There were too many such flameyellow descendants to count! Even a tenth of all of them were capable of channeling such terrifying power.

The number of faithful in the Ten Desolate Starforges reached ninety percent, and their fates were tightly bound with Tianming’s, who was far away in the Ninefold Hellstar. They lived in the corners and edges of mound cities, hiding in the deserted wilderness, but they were fighting by Tianming’s side all the same. Their destinies were linked.

”Perhaps the toughest suffering for them to account for is their heavenly shackles....” It was humiliating and evil to be shackled like that! Tianming’s omnisentient threads’ growing connection had already helped many overcome their heavenly shackles to tap into their innate talent. Similar transformations were spreading like storms across many fortuna-class worlds in the Upper Star Ruin.

Tianming grew stronger and fought with their power, while they resonated with Tianming’s imperial order as they cultivated to overcome the shackles and skyrocket in progress! Endless sparks were lighting embers across all those worlds. The flames grew stronger and stronger, and a world-ending massacre was taking place across this prosperous universe city.

”The prosperity of the devas was built upon the suffering of others and the corpses of flameyellow descendants. The winners make the rules, a tale as old as time.” Ming Yufu watched the slaughter of her kin from the highest building, not feeling anything even after hearing the cries of agony.

”Yufu, run!” cried a woman behind her.

She turned back to look and saw her mother, Yue Xingwang. She was a top-ten cosmic god in the Ninefold Hellstar that was thousands of meters tall. Despite being someone who would command a grand entrance, she was devoid of fighting spirit.

”I don’t need to run. I’ve already allied with a powerful figure. You should be the one to run,” Ming Yufu said, smiling.
