Beastmaster of the Ages

A small infant soul appeared before Yanri Shuang with a smile. ”Don’t struggle, my big, beautiful girl, or else! Hehe... hehehe...” Bai Ye pointed at Tianming, ”I’ll order my mount and rid you of your innocence!”

Yanri Shuang quietly looked at Tianming.

”Hey! He’s my low-tier mount! Since when did he become yours?!” Meow Meow said, its eyes barely opening.

”Cat Bro, keep sleeping!” Bai Ye snapped.

”Alright!” Meow Meow shut its eyes in the most blissful motion ever.

Yanri Shuang looked at her dreambreach fiend, which shivered nonstop and said, ”If you don’t want to die, do what they say! Shuang, you only live once. Let’s not squander our precious lives....”

She took a deep breath, turned to face Tianming with her golden eyes and said, ”Do you want to control me and make me serve you?” She had telepathically talked to her beast about the infant souls, but the dreambreach fiend was so afraid that it didn’t even dare to say anything. Yanri Shuang was slightly fearful of what kind of soul beast Bai Ye was for it to break all common sense like that.

”From now on, everything you say and do will be up to me. Otherwise, you can simply die,” Tianming said.

”Don’t you know who I am?” While Yanri Shuang’s face was swollen, she raised her head high when she talked about her heritage. Someone of her high birth and talent had been served to the utmost at Starmoon Haven.

”Aren’t you just a baby genius from Starmoon Haven who lost to me?” Tianming shrugged.

”I’m only five hundred years old, and you guys ganged up on me! What’s there to be proud of?! When I reach your age, I’ll have long become a cosmic god.”

”I’m only around a hundred years old. What about you, Zi Zhen?” Tianming asked.

”Just a tad older than you, Little Bro,” Zi Zhen calmly said.

”Oh? I can make things up too!” Yanri Shuang said, pouting. ”My grandparents, parents, and brother are all cosmic gods! We’re one of the most powerful clans in Starmoon Haven and are said to be a cosmic line!”

”What’s that?” Tianming said.

”If a clan has cosmic gods generation after generation, they qualify as a cosmic line! Nobody hasn’t heard about the Yanri Cosmic Line in the Midsky Tristars! That’s why you don’t need to control me. You can negotiate with me to get anything you want! I’m willing to work with you!”

Tianming turned to Zi Zhen and said, ”It doesn’t sound like she’s convinced. Beat her up again!”

After another pounding, Yanri Shuang cried out, ”Stop hitting me! If you don’t want to cooperate, you don’t have to! Why resort to violence?! And if you must, don’t go for the face!”

”Bai Ye, go!” Tianming said. What was all that talk about cooperation? In the void of space, nobody could stop him no matter how badly he trampled someone. He could simply coerce her with the infant souls! There was no need to work together. ”From today onward, you’re mine. Everything in your Yanri Cosmic Line is also mine, capisce?!”

”Dream on!”

”We’ll see whether it’s just a dream or a dream come true.” The only reason Yanri Shuang could still bring herself to struggle was that she still wasn’t under the infant soul’s control and couldn’t imagine how terrifying it was. Once control had been established, she would even be unable to hide her private thoughts from Bai Ye!

”Bai Ye, Bai Ye! Seriously! I’m glad to have you with me, yay!” Tianming exclaimed.

”Wow, that rhymed!” Ying Huo said.

”Oh? Haven’t you been rather quiet lately?” Tianming said.

”Of course! I’m the big brother and Sixth just came back not long ago. I have to give it some time to shine!”

”I bet you’re just busy courting your Yueyue,” Tianming said.

”So what? Don’t tell me that you’re allowed to have multiple lovers and poor old me can’t even have my one true love!”

”Poor old me?”

While they bickered, Bai Ye’s infant soul entered Yanri Shuang’s astral brain. She struggled for a bit, only to be beaten flat by Zi Zhen’s fists. What made her despair even more was how her beast actually helped Bai Ye completely implant itself into her astral brain, causing her vita to be under its complete control. Not only would her thoughts no longer be private, her life could also be snuffed out at any time!

Yanri Shuang understood the true extent of the beast’s control and took a deep breath. Her eyes dimmed with gloom. Everything about her clan and bloodline was a thing of the past. None of it could help her now. All she could do was huddle up with her dreambreach fiend and cry in eternal, begrudging despair.

”What’re you crying for?! You got lucky! At least you’re useful because of your birth and status. Otherwise you’d be too dead to even lament your fate! From now on, if your stupid Yanri Cosmic Line dares to stop my epic rise to the top, they’ll all have to perish!”

”Bai Ye... do you... think you’re... the protagonist? Stop babbling... so much,” Yin Chen said.

”Am I not?! I’m the only protagonist around! All of you are mere grass compared to the bright, blooming flower that I am!”

”It appears... that your... retardation is... chronic chronic....”

”You’re the one with the retarded stammer! Talk to me after you get your speech impediment sorted out!”

”You retard!”

The bickering started again, but at the very least Yanri Shuang had been dealt with. There were two infant souls in God Domain One, one in Tianmingopolis, and two here, one each for Yanri Shuang and her beast. So there were five deployed in total, leaving only four with Bai Ye. It wasn’t in its prime fighting form, but fortunately the five million omnisentient threads made up for it.

”I have to use the infant souls either way. Yin Chen and Bai Ye’s strengths aren’t mainly in combat. Even though the number of infant souls has decreased, the twenty million flameyellow descendants that’re being shipped to the Middlekin Star Ruin will give us enough omnisentient power to work with.”

Tianming had thought that there would be no more growth in his power once the trial at the Cosmic God Palace ended until Zhantian Feng’s stroke of genius sent so many slaves there.

”It’s unlikely that I’ll be able to break through in the short term, since I’m not stable enough. I’ll have to rely on the path of the Galactic Emperor as a crutch for now to save them.”
