Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1745 - 1561: Void Bullet

A world away, in the desolate realm known as the Abyss, Alex sat cross-legged amidst a churning vortex of chaotic energy. The air itself crackled with raw, destructive power, threatening to tear at the very fabric of reality. Unlike Incursio, who battled chaos with control, Alex embraced it, the swirling black energy lashing against him like a malevolent storm.

His usually vibrant features contorted in a silent scream, a grotesque dance between agony and determination. His body, normally a beacon of health, flickered between its natural state and an unsettling inky black. Each pulse of chaotic energy sent a searing jolt of pain through him, a torment unlike anything he had ever known.

Yet, Alex pressed on, his jaw clenched, his eyes burning with unwavering resolve.

This was no ordinary act of self-flagellation. This was a desperate gamble, a last-ditch effort to save his world. The curse that choked the land, draining the power from its inhabitants and warping reality itself, resided within the Abyss. Alex, burdened by a heavy understanding, knew the only way to break the curse was to consume it himself.

To swallow the chaos, become one with it for a fleeting moment, and then purge it from his very being. An audacious plan, bordering on madness, but one fuelled by the desperate need to protect his allies, his world. With every agonizing pulse of chaotic energy, Alex felt a sliver of power course through him, a dark counterpoint to his inherent abilities.

His body pushed to its very limits, screamed in protest, threatening to buckle under the strain.

Yet, a vision of Incursio and the others, their faces etched with determination, spurred him on. He couldnʼt afford to falter. This pain, excruciating as it was, was a mere price compared to the potential devastation that awaited them. With a final surge of willpower, Alex channeled his energy, igniting a brilliant beacon of light within the swirling darkness.

The Abyss shrieked in response, a cacophony of tortured energy as the light clashed with the chaos. In that clash, a blinding flash tore through the realm, and for a moment, all was silent. When the light subsided, Alex lay crumpled on the obsidian floor of the Abyss, his breathing ragged, his body utterly spent.

But the tormenting energy was gone, replaced by a profound sense of exhaustion and a newfound surge of power humming within him.

Alex, his face pale but resolute, lifted himself onto his knees.

The world spun around Alex, the aftereffects of absorbing the chaotic energy clinging to him like a shroud. He stumbled back, forcing his vision to clear, just in time to witness a sight that sent a fresh jolt of adrenaline through him. A colossal entity materialized from the swirling shadows of the Abyss, a grotesque tapestry of sin and darkness.

Two bottomless pits, devoid of pupils, stared at him with an unnerving focus. A deafening roar echoed from its malformed mouth, a sound that vibrated in Alexʼs very bones. This wasnʼt just another chaotic entity, this was a creature of pure malice, a living embodiment of the very abyss itself.

The demonʼs appearance was a grotesque caricature of beauty. Lush, matted hair, once perhaps magnificent, now hung limply over its gashed head. Smoke billowed from its flared nostrils, tainting the already suffocating air. Its body, a monstrous mass of flesh and shadow, lumbered forward on six uneven legs.

Runes and emblems, glowing with a sickly luminescence, adorned its torso, mocking Alex with their malevolent power.

The creature relished the fear in Alexʼs eyes, its grotesque smile splitting its scarred face. With each lumbering step, its serrated tail scraped against the obsidian floor, sending sparks flying. An aura of pure hatred emanated from the entity, a tangible force that threatened to consume Alex whole.

But Alex, forged in the fires of his own ordeal, wouldnʼt back down. He straightened his spine, a newfound resolve hardening his features. He had stared down chaos itself, and this – this monstrous display of hatred – wouldnʼt break him.

”An Abysmal Demon, huh?” Alex rasped, his voice surprisingly steady despite the tremor in his legs. ”A fitting guardian for a cursed place.”

The demon roared again, the sound echoing through the cavernous Abyss. It lumbered closer, the stench of decay and brimstone assaulting Alexʼs senses.

”You shouldnʼt be here,” the demon boomed, its voice a chorus of tortured screams. ”This power isnʼt meant for mortals.”

Alexʼs retort hung heavy in the air, a defiant echo in the cavernous abyss.

”Well and who are you to say this?” he challenged, his voice ringing with newfound confidence. ”A mere puppet guarding a broken cage.”

The demonʼs roar intensified, a guttural sound that shook the very foundations of the Abyss. This was an insult it wouldnʼt tolerate. It was a primal guardian, a warden of chaos, not some mindless pawn.

Alex, however, was unfazed. He knew he needed to act fast. The lingering effects of absorbing chaos were draining him, and a protracted battle with this monstrosity wouldnʼt end well. A wry smile played on his lips as his left hand materialized his trusty silver gun, Silveria. Time spent in the Abyss had not only bolstered his resolve but also sparked a flurry of tactical ideas.

With a silent flick of his wrist, he channeled his mana into Silveria. During his ordeal, a potent weapon had materialized within his mind: the Void Bullet. It wasnʼt just any bullet, but one imbued with the combined power of space and time elements – a testament to the twisted chaos he had absorbed and harnessed.

A deafening bang echoed through the Abyss as the Void Bullet, a grayish blur, sped towards the Abysmal Demon. The monstrous entity, used to brute force attacks, reacted instinctively, attempting to dodge the speeding projectile. But Alexʼs creation defied expectations.

The Void Bullet, right before reaching the demon, shimmered and contorted, warping the very fabric of space around it. What appeared to be a near miss suddenly transformed into a swirling vortex, a miniature black hole. The demon, caught off guard by this unforeseen maneuver, let out a surprised bellow. Before it could react further, the portal ripped open, its gravitational pull irresistible.

The demonʼs colossal body, despite its immense size, was forcibly squeezed and compressed, its roars turning into choked gurgles as it was sucked into the void it had tried to evade.

A heavy silence descended on the Abyss. The swirling vortex, its purpose served, dissipated, leaving behind a faint echo of the demonʼs demise. Alex, his breathing ragged, lowered Silveria. Relief washed over him, a wave of exhaustion following closely behind.

ʼʼSigh! I should think of a way to reduce the mana consumption.ʼʼ
