Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 757 - 712: Assassination mission

Only Artemia, Lilith stayed behind. Silveria dragged, Maria, Noire, Sera, Sakuya, and Gracier out of the meeting room.

ʼʼWe need to talk,ʼʼ Artemia said those words.

Alex looked at her and asked.

ʼʼWhat do you want to talk about?” He asked.

ʼʼAre you really planning to go there alone? While your plan sounds good? Itʼs full of flaws you will get yourself killed; you need assistance-”

ʼʼDonʼt worry, I know what Iʼm doing. I will infiltrate the empire together with Noire and Sera.ʼʼ Alex explained to Artemia before his eyes stopped on Lilith for a moment before his lips were curled slightly, showing a faint smirk.

ʼʼI need the underworld queenʼs help.ʼʼ

Boom!

This declaration was like a clap of thunder in Artemiaʼs ears; she couldnʼt believe what she had just heard; she looked at Lilith incredibly. Even with her vast network s, he never found out the identity of the underworld queen, the one who wore a butterfly mask.

But finally, she heard about her identity and was shocked because it was her friend whom she had not expected to be connected to such a world, something like that did not happen in their previous life. She must have decided to become the underworld queen before regaining her memories and, most importantly, because she wanted her personal force to compete against her brother Lucifer.

In the span of a minute, Artemia quickly analyzed and arrived at that conclusion.

Meanwhile, Lilithʼs expression remained impassive, as if nothing could affect her; not even the revelation of her secret identity could change this.

ʼʼWhat do you want?” She finally asked. She knew she must have gotten this information from Sera as she was the only one capable of finding her real identity; she was the strongest assassin, after all, the head of a strong information network.

Alex smiled upon seeing Lilithʼs reaction. ʼʼI want you to stir up some trouble in the underworld of the Holy Crux empire.ʼʼ

This was his goal all along; he wanted to attack the Holy Crux empire from all sides; this way, he could easily infiltrate the empire and carry out his plan.

ʼʼOk, I will follow your arrangement, but you will owe me.ʼʼ Lilith accepted but on one condition, he would owe her, and she had an idea what she would ask.

ʼʼOk, donʼt worry, I will help you.ʼʼ Alex declared as if he could guess what she had in mind.

ʼʼExcuse me then,ʼʼ Lilith said before escaping from the meeting room.

ʼʼLily, just wait!” Artemiaʼs voice echoed behind her, but she didnʼt stop; she hurriedly left. She knew she would be bombarded with questions if she were to stay.

ʼʼSigh! How troublesome. I must teach that damn woman how to keep her mouth.ʼʼ Lilith mumbled, but unexpectedly Seraʼs voice happened to drift into her ears at that moment.

ʼʼUnfortunately, you canʼt do that, at least the current you canʼt,ʼʼ Sera said.

ʼʼTch! Just wait.ʼʼ Lilith said those words before disappearing into the villa. Sera appeared shortly after she left and shook her head; she began walking in the direction of the meeting room.

ʼʼEretria, I want to talk to your father.ʼʼ Alex suddenly declared shocking Artemia.

ʼʼHuh?”

ʼʼFor what reason?” She asked.

ʼʼJust a discussion between men,ʼʼ Alex explained, not going into the details.

ʼʼI see. I will leave first. See you soon.ʼʼ Artemia said before leaving toward the palace.

A few minutes later, using the secret passage, she sneaked into the palace until the emperorʼs chamber.

At the same time, Alex was talking with Sera.

ʼʼSera, contact your former comrades, especially the purple-haired woman. I have a mission for you.ʼʼ He declared.

ʼʼOh? I have you know that we are not cheap to employ.ʼʼ Sera responded, and her demeanor changed; her presence was completely erased; she was like a deadly weapon ready to strike at any moment; if Alex was a weak-willed individual, he might have passed out.

Chuckling, Alex took out a list. On this list were the names of certain officials, higher-level ones in the Holy Crux empire, such as priests, cardinal advisors, and cardinal. The list has their names and what they have done in the past years. While Alex was not some hero of justice that punished those that did evil, he wanted to use this list to create chaos.

It was by no means to get revenge for those poor souls who suffered under the people on this list. His goal was simple. It was to use Sera, and the others help to assassinate those on this list.

ʼʼI want you to kill all those marked on this list.ʼʼ Alex declared with killing intent. Sera immediately understood that he was not joking this time as she could feel his killing intent; while it was not sharp as her own because she had killed more people than Alex did, there was a certain uniqueness.

It was not sharp as her killing intent, but it was dangerous enough to make her feel a reaction. She felt a chill at her back and had goosebumps all over her body when she got enveloped in this killing intent; worst, Alex fixed his gaze on her, increasing the pressure she felt. But who is she? The strongest assassin that ever existed in Mysthia.

The corners of Seraʼs lips couldnʼt help but tilt upward, and she said.

ʼʼThere is no problem but as I have said we are not cheap. Can you afford us?” It was more like a taunting than a question.

It was Alexʼs turn to smile; looking down on Sera, he asked. ʼʼWho do you think Iʼm?”

Only five words, but those five words spoke a volume. Sera chuckled and declared.

ʼʼGood, as their leader, Zero humbly accepted mister Alexanderʼs request. None of those marked on the lips shall escape death.ʼʼ

It was a declaration full of arrogance, and like in Alexʼs case, Sera was arrogant because of her strength and achievement; she was the assassinʼs Queen with a hundred percent rate, meaning she had never failed a mission. Cardinal or not, Saint or not, it doesnʼt matter she would succeed.

The moment their names got marked, the death goddess would take their lives; there was nothing they could do about it.

Alex nodded while inwardly he was shocked; he couldnʼt detect Seraʼs presence even when she sat before him. He felt chill and sighed in relief. It is a good thing she is on my side. He thought.
