Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 87 - 81: Explanation

Half of an hour later, Alex had finished devouring the four sandwiches. He was now full. After taking a deep breath he decided that now it was time for him to get some answers.

ʼʼSil, you can start.ʼʼ

〖As you have guessed it itʼs because of the wyvernʼs heart you level up fifteen times. To be more accurate it was because the XP was stored inside the heart.

Letʼs put it more simple for you to understand, you can think of human or monsters as a device whose data (Levels, etc) are stored inside storage, clouds if you want, even if the device ceased working and the storage is preserved you can use it in another device, recuperating the data, but not all can be used.

Thatʼs more what happened, normally it was impossible for something like this to happen but thank to my awesomeness the impossible became possible.〗

ʼʼYeah, I get it you are too awesome,ʼʼ Alex said sarcastically prompting Silveria to pout.

Alex on the other hand was amused because of the analogy she used to describe what happened. He was wondering how was the world of her previous Master. Maybe it was the same as Earth or more evolved technologically.

Unknown to him, Silveria had used that analogy because she had caught a glimpse of Earthʼs technologies through his memories. Back then when he had having that dream (The previous ownerʼs memories) because of Silveria, she was also watching his life on Earth. Obviously, not all his memories but some parts of it, it was to help her understand her current masterʼs personality.

After pouting, Silveria continued speaking,

〖Truth be told I wasnʼt expecting so much improvement. It went without saying that I knew youʼll gain few levels apart from an increase in MP however fifteen levels at once was out of my expectation. You should thank that girl when you will see her. What she gave you isnʼt your typical Wyvernʼs heart, this Wyvern is a mutated one, a pretty high-level one.〗

ʼʼI will. Still, itʼs normal if you consider it. Iʼm kinda some sort of investment.ʼʼ

〖 You are right but let continue with my explanation. You went through astonishing changes after having taken the pill, not only your stats increased, physically you have changed as well but that you must have noticed it yourself.〗

ʼʼYeah, I became taller and stronger. Itʼs as I have-”

〖As if you have evolved. Itʼs exactly what happened. If previously you were Alex V.0 now you have become Alex V.1. If your friends at the capital were to see the current you, they would be surprised for sure.〗

ʼʼSure they will,ʼʼ Alex said, his lips curled up just imagining Leonardo and crew reactions if they were to see the current him. He surpassed them in level, he who previously have been looked down upon because his Gift was sealed, how ironic.

ʼʼWell, Iʼm temporary ahead of them but it doesnʼt mean anything. I will continue doing my utmost to reach my goal. Itʼs not a competition because I have nothing to prove to anybody.ʼʼ He added with a smile.

〖Oh? and when I thought you will go flaunt your current achievement to get their recognition.〗

ʼʼWhat?”

ʼʼWhere do you get that ridiculous idea from?”

〖Iʼm wrong?〗She asked.

Alex chuckled and said, ʼʼAs I said I have nothing to prove. I indeed feel hurt when everyoneʼs Gift was working while mine was sealed but it is not a reason to go show off now that Iʼm progressing. Do you think I want to be the strongest because of some pathetic recognition?ʼʼ

There was a silence before Alex continued,

ʼʼIʼm doing this for my well-being. I donʼt give a damn about others. All I care about it is me and the one dear to me. Iʼll be pathetic if I behave like a rejected puppy that came to get his masterʼs recognition after changing a little. Iʼm the type of person that always wants to stand above others, back on Earth it was to have a lot of money because on Earth: Money is power, richest people dictate.

And here itʼs power, and being what I am, I want to be the strongest. Itʼs simple as that. Never forget this. Itʼs hurt me when you think like that, Iʼm not that pathetic, never think that again.ʼʼ

Alex ended his sentence with a warning, Silveria on the other hand gulped before apologizing.

〖Iʼm sorry Master. I went too far but I just wanted to know if you are doing all of this because of other people recognition and glad it wasnʼt the case.〗

ʼʼItʼs good that you understand. Letʼs continue with our earlier topic.ʼʼ Alex said.

〖I understand. As you have seen, you get 650 points added to your MP. 500 Points because of the pill initial goal and the 150 Points are because of the 15 levels you suddenly gained. On your statʼs level, you must have noticed another increase apart from the 150 pts youʼll normally get because of the 15 levels up.

If Iʼm not wrong, you got 100 pts added to your ATK and DEF stats while instead of 100 pts you get 150 pts added to your AGI stat. This happened simply because a Wyvern is a Wind type of monster.〗

ʼʼI see. I guess the reason my Blinkʼ level increased to Level 5 is because of that as well.ʼʼ

〖Exactly〗Silveria confirmed his guess.

ʼʼI get it but it doesnʼt explain why my Intimidation skill level suddenly increased. Itʼs not a Wind type skill no?ʼʼ

〖Itʼs not the case, however, itʼs a skill related to a dragon, and Wyvern being one, even if it is a lesser dragon, itʼs still a dragon. Have you forgotten that Intimidation is a lesser version of Gracier Special Ability: Dragon Eye?〗Siilveria asked prompting Alex to remember the origin of his skill.

Finally, Alex understood why his Intimidationʼs skill level increased, it was because it was related to the dragon.

ʼʼI understand that itʼs a dragon-related skill. However, the (+50) on my DEF are there for what?”

〖Oh! that? You should check your new title. You will understand if you do.〗Silveria suggested.

Nodding Alex checked the description of his new title, [The Reborn]

[The Reborn: A title given to the most courageous, to the one that went through hellish pain to evolve.

Add 50 points to DEF.]

ʼʼHow stingy. Only an increase of 50 points with everything I went through, itʼs too little.ʼʼ Alex complained as if he was not happy with the new title bonus.

Silveria could not help but chuckle.

〖You sounds like you donʼt want it? Donʼt be too greedy, you have gained more than you have initially thought.〗

ʼʼYou are right but a little bit more wouldnʼt hurt. I have suffered for three days after all. Well, I guess Iʼll gain anything by complaining.ʼʼ He said and stopped complaining.

He took out another bottle of iced orange, opening it he took a sip before announcing,

ʼʼTime to check my Special Abilities.ʼʼ
