Supreme Devouring God

The Ancient Star Summoning King said, ”I’m not sure either, but I can take you to have a look, because I’m also very curious about how His Majesty actually died back then.”

Back then, because the Summoning Star Emperor suddenly fell, it led to chaos within the Star Summoning Dynasty.

The Ancient Star Summoning King had no time to go to the Star Cave to investigate the cause of the Summoning Star Emperor’s death.

”Alright.”

Qin Chen was very curious about that mysterious Star Cave.

After all, that Star Cave was the chief culprit for destroying a large dynasty.

The two left the Star Summoning Ancient Realm.

Breathing in the air outside, the Ancient Star Summoning King felt an unprecedented sense of ease.

Indeed, if Qin Chen had to stay in the Star Summoning Ancient Realm for hundreds of years, he would probably be thinking about getting out all the time.

”I need a map of the current Star Summoning Seven Dynasties,” said the Ancient Star Summoning King.

”No problem.”

Qin Chen quickly bought a map at a nearby commercial building. This map wasn’t anything special and was easily obtainable.

The Ancient Star Summoning King looked at the map for a few moments and then pointed to a location: ”It’s right here.”

”It just so happens to be within the territory of the Great Star Dynasty.”

Qin Chen glanced and remembered the location: ”Uncle Gu, let’s go.”

Three days later, the two arrived at this location.

This place was remote, and it seemed even the sun didn’t visit here. Obviously, everywhere else was bright and sunny, yet only here was gloomy.

Like the primal chaos at the beginning of the universe.

Qin Chen inquired with nearby villagers who called this place the ’Divine Abandoned Land.’

Meaning that a god once fell here, causing the place to transform into its current state.

No one dared to approach, nor did any creatures dare to get close.

Within the vicinity, not a single plant could be seen.

Just a barren expanse of dust and gravel.

”Where’s the Star Cave?”

Qin Chen looked around, and aside from chaos, nothing was visible.

Could it be that it’s disappeared after so much time?

The Ancient Star Summoning King said, ”Let’s walk forward and see, but be careful. Not to mention that His Majesty fell here in the past, afterward many came here, but reportedly few returned.”

”I learned the location of the Star Cave from this information.”

Qin Chen nodded, and the two slowly moved forward.

Before long, Qin Chen stopped, his pupils contracting slightly as he pointed ahead: ”Isn’t that the Star Cave?”

Ahead was still chaos, but visible to the naked eye was a pitch-black hole.

The hole slowly rotated, surrounded by crystalline starlight flickering, perhaps that’s why it’s named ’Star Cave.’

Looking from here, it was impossible to know where the other end of the Star Cave led, or what might be at the other side.

Though this mysterious scene stirred curiosity within one’s heart.

The Ancient Star Summoning King was also seeing the Star Cave for the first time: ”I feel eight or nine in ten, no wonder His Majesty fell back then. This Star Cave indeed gives one an involuntary urge to explore, to want to know what’s on the other side.”

From afar, the Star Cave looked like a hole torn in the sky.

The surrounding environment had become chaotic, seemingly because of the mysterious aura emanating from the Star Cave.

”Let’s get closer and see,” said Qin Chen.

The Ancient Star Summoning King hesitated: ”Are you sure? Getting closer will definitely be dangerous; otherwise, the Star Cave wouldn’t still be here after all these years.”

Precisely because of the danger, it remains here for years, desolate and deserted.

Qin Chen said, ”No problem, just getting closer, not necessarily going all the way to the front, and at present, it’s only a bit eerie, not dangerous at all.”

Qin Chen’s perception was indeed strong enough to forewarn of danger and quickly retreat.

Clearly, the Ancient Star Summoning King was very curious.

So, though he spoke of potential danger, upon hearing Qin Chen he nodded.

”Let’s get closer and see.”

Their vigilance heightened to the maximum, they dared not to be careless.

Soon afterward, a bizarre occurrence transpired.

No matter how they moved, although they advanced toward the Star Cave, it felt like they were treading on the spot.

The position of the Star Cave hadn’t changed; it remained there, unchanged in size.

”Something’s not right.”

The Ancient Star Summoning King came to a halt, furrowing his brow: ”I’m certain we’re not staying in place, yet why do we remain so far from the Star Cave regardless of how we walk?”

This area was already bizarre, now compounded by such strange happenings, it was truly unnerving.

Qin Chen said, ”I am equally certain we’re not treading on the spot, nor are we going in circles, so the cause is singular: the Star Cave.”

”The reasons could be numerous, such as spatial dislocation, its retreat, or we are ensnared in some illusion, but due to our weakness, we’ve yet to discern it.”

The Ancient Star Summoning King said, ”I think we should leave. Right now, I have a strong sense of unease.”

Qin Chen contemplated for a moment: ”I agree.”

Curiosity is one thing, but it can be fatal too.

He had many tasks at hand; returning at a later time, stronger, wouldn’t be too late.

Yet as Qin Chen and the Ancient Star Summoning King retreated, they discovered something eerie.

Space behind them seemed to press forward incessantly.

Simply put, even if Qin Chen and the Ancient Star Summoning King stood still, they edged closer to the Star Cave.

Their pupils immediately dilated.

”Run!”

The Ancient Star Summoning King grabbed Qin Chen and, deploying his utmost speed, fled the region furiously.

The surrounding space continued rushing forward, drastically limiting their progress.

Qin Chen immediately summoned the Bloodthirsty Demon Blade, slashing forward.

”Boom!”

Space ahead abruptly fractured, halting the advance for a moment.

”It must be the Star Cave causing space to rush forward, but as long as my attacks are strong enough, I can split space, creating temporary gaps to escape.”

Qin Chen’s scalp tingled.

He had encountered many phenomena throughout his journey, yet not such a bizarre power.

To make space advance!

It was terrifying!

If the two hadn’t acted or were closer, perhaps they’d already be swallowed by the Star Cave.

This made Qin Chen recall the deaths of the Summoning Star Emperor and others, likely they perished in a similar manner.

”I will accelerate, you attack the space ahead, we must escape.”

The Ancient Star Summoning King now felt immense relief.

Fortunately, they curbed their curiosity promptly, refraining from advancing further.

Otherwise, it would have been too late.

However, even now, their situation remains grim.
