Supreme Devouring God

Chapter 453: Chapter 453: Marriage Alliance!

Ever since the last incident, when Azure Sky Mountain of the Azure Sky Sword Sect was destroyed, the Azure Sky Sword Sect had completely lost its title as the first Sect of Thunder State.

On the contrary, due to Qin Chen’s impressive deeds back then, Thunder Sky Sect had attracted many Heavenly Pride Disciples to join.

This had thoroughly shaken off the title of the least Sect in Thunder State for Thunder Sky Sect.

However,

Azure Sky Sword Sect was once the number one Sect in Thunder State.

Though the inheritance ancestral land, Azure Sky Mountain, was destroyed, causing significant damage to the strength of the Azure Sky Sword Sect, its overall strength was still not to be underestimated.

And now, the Azure Sky Sword Sect and the Cloud Sea Sect had formed an alliance through marriage.

Alone, neither Azure Sky Sword Sect nor Cloud Sea Sect was enough to dominate Thunder State.

But if the two were united, it would be a different story.

This alliance could definitely break the current balance in Thunder State!

And for Thunder Sky Sect, which was a sworn enemy of the Azure Sky Sword Sect, this was naturally a very unwelcome development.

”If he, Duan Qingqian, has not learned his lesson from two years ago, I, Saint Leitian, wouldn’t mind going at it with him one more time!”

Saint Leitian’s expression was slightly cold.

He knew what the Azure Sky Sword Sect and the Cloud Sea Sect were scheming.

But his Thunder Sky Sect was not to be trifled with either.

Even if they couldn’t defeat the alliance of the Azure Sky Sword Sect and the Cloud Sea Sect, if the former dared to make a move against Thunder Sky Sect Saint Leitian was confident that he would not let them get away with it easily.

...

Thunder State Transmission Array.

A flash of light passed by, and a figure subsequently appeared.

”Thunder State!”

Stepping out of the transmission array, Qin Chen looked around, and everything seemed very familiar.

”Qingxin City?”

Seeing the inscription on a stele next to the transmission array, Qin Chen furrowed his brows slightly.

”This Qingxin City, it’s near the Azure Sky Sword Sect, isn’t it?”

Qin Chen recalled for a moment and then remembered.

”What a coincidence,” a brilliant smile appeared on Qin Chen’s face.

However, Qin Chen did not head directly to the Azure Sky Sword Sect, but instead entered a large nearby inn.

So much time had passed.

Qin Chen, after all, needed to find out what had changed in Thunder State during the past two years.

An inn was undoubtedly a good place to gather information.

Qin Chen casually called over a waiter, took out a handful of stone coins from within his God Devouring Crystal—a total of more than ten—and tossed them to him.

The waiter did not pay much attention to Qin Chen initially, but upon seeing Qin Chen handing out a dozen stone coins at once, his eyes widened, and his demeanor instantly perked up.

Qin Chen also took the opportunity to start inquiring about the information he wanted to know.

From the mouth of the waiter, Qin Chen roughly understood the changes in Thunder State over the past two years.

When he heard that Thunder Sky Sect, along with Thunder State Hall and the Telekinesis Master Association, had joined forces for his sake and smashed Azure Sky Mountain of the Azure Sky Sword Sect,

Qin Chen was astonished but more so touched.

Especially the involvement of Thunder State Hall and the Telekinesis Master Association was unexpected for Qin Chen.

Moreover, Qin Chen received another piece of information.

a fairly powerful family in Thunder State, the Shee Family, collapsed overnight.

The family head of the Shee Family, and some of the elders within the Shee Family, including the son of the family head Shee Gaoyun, were all killed!

Nobody knew who did it.

All that was known was that after that day, the Shee Family, having lost its pillar, had completely collapsed.

Speaking of the Shee Family alone, Qin Chen might not remember.

However, upon hearing the name Shee Gaoyun, Qin Chen could roughly guess who was responsible for this matter.

It was likely Mon Tianran!

Back then, Mon Tianran had told Qin Chen.

His parents were captured by the Shee Family, where Shee Gaoyun belonged, to threaten Mon Tianran into deliberately losing to him in the major competition.

Now, it seemed that the downfall of the Shee Family and the tragic deaths of Shee Gaoyun and his father, although no one witnessed the murderer,

Qin Chen could deduce that it was probably Mon Tianran who had done it.

Thinking about this, Qin Chen was very curious about how much Mon Tianran had grown in these nearly two years.

Qin Chen specifically asked about Mon Tianran’s recent whereabouts.

To Qin Chen’s astonishment,

according to the clerk, since the end of the major competition two years ago, no one had seen Mon Tianran again.

This made Qin Chen somewhat suspicious.

He could guess that a year ago, Mon Tianran must have appeared, but no one knew it was him.

But now, as another year had nearly passed and Mon Tianran still hadn’t appeared, Qin Chen couldn’t help but worry whether Mon Tianran was still alive.

Ten Thousand Mountains!

That was a place full of dangers.

In some ways, it was even more dangerous than the Blood Continent Islands.

After all, those Demon Beasts were extremely fierce and violent.

”The Ten Thousand Sects Peak Battle starts in ten days,”

”I hope Mon Tianran will show up in ten days.”

That was all Qin Chen could hope for in his mind.

Just then, the sound of conversation from a group nearby reached Qin Chen’s ears.

”Tomorrow, the son of Duan Qingqian, Sect Master of Azure Sky Sword Sect, Duan Ming, is to marry Yun Ying, the daughter of Yun Zhenhai, Sect Master of Cloud Sea Sect.”

”Do you think that if these two sects form an alliance through marriage, the Azure Sky Sword Sect will unite with the Cloud Sea Sect to take revenge on Thunder Sky Sect for what happened two years ago?”

A group of burly men at a nearby table casually chatted, drinking and speaking without any restraint, allowing Qin Chen to overhear everything.

”A wedding? And it’s tomorrow?”

Qin Chen raised an eyebrow, his eyes suddenly gleaming.

Qin Chen had initially planned to seek revenge on Azure Sky Sword Sect after catching up on the past two years’ events and then return to Thunder Sky Sect to prepare for the opening of the Ten Thousand Sects Peak Battle.

But hearing this news, Qin Chen had another plan in mind.

If he simply killed Duan Qingqian and the others like that, it seemed a bit too dull.

Tomorrow, he believed that the entire Thunder State, aside from forces like Thunder Sky Sect and Thunder State Hall who bore grudges against Azure Sky Sword Sect, would likely attend.

In full view of everyone, Qin Chen needed to give the Azure Sky Sword Sect a significant ’surprise.’

A surprise amazing enough to be truly surprising!

With this thought, a devilishly chilling smile emerged on Qin Chen’s face.

After dining, Qin Chen walked into a shop, bought a bamboo hat, and then found an inn to stay in.

The next day.

Qingxin City was not far from Azure Sky Sword Sect.

Today was the grand wedding alliance between Azure Sky Sword Sect and Cloud Sea Sect.

So, the usually sparse Qingxin City saw a significant increase in people.

Everyone knew what the alliance between Azure Sky Sword Sect and Cloud Sea Sect meant for the entirety of Thunder State.

Therefore, many forces had no choice but to rush to attend this grand alliance wedding.

”Sigh...”

Inside an inn in Qingxin City, Qin Chen opened his eyes and exhaled softly, looking towards the direction of Azure Sky Sword Sect.

The corners of his mouth lifted slightly, displaying a cold curve.
