Claimed by the Mad Lycan King

Sybill.

That name again.

Zade had looked into it when he was in the Blackthorne Pack, and just like what Zephyr had said, there was no one with that name there aside from a one-year-old baby. The name was uncommon for the pack.

”I can’t leave her alone there... I should have brought her here with me. She would love to eat all of the delicious food Maisie prepared.” And then, Seara’s old habit returned as she mumbled incoherently to herself.

Zade cupped her face with his palm to get her focus back to him. ”Can you tell me more about Sybill?”

”Sybill is my friend. She had been with me when I was in that cell.” Seara furrowed slightly when her mind went back to the time she was locked up. ”I always talked to her. She is very nice, even though I think she has anger issues. She always protected me. She would get angry easily.”

”How... did she protect you?” Zade remembered what Seara had said previously about the two warriors coming to see her and that Sybill did what she should have done to protect her.

However, he wanted to know if Seara would tell him the same story. And she did. She recalled the moment the same way she did the first time. It was believable. She remembered what had happened.

”Can you tell me how you met her for the first time?”

”She came one day and stayed with me ever since. She would tell me the story about her cat. The yellow cat. I had a cat too.”

Zade knew Seara had a cat, but the animal died when Brigid drowned it. Everything was mentioned in the text exchanged among the three of them ten years ago.

They found how devastated Seara was amusing.

When you had the need to feel powerful, abusing someone weaker could be very addictive. And that was what happened in Seara’s whole life.

Everyone knew she was adopted, and when the former gamma didn’t treat her well, everyone around them would pick that up and follow the lead.

”Is that not possible?” Seara looked at Zade expectantly. ”She must be very lonely to be there alone.” She knew that feeling, because before Sybill came along, she was also only by herself.

”I will ask someone to look into it,” Zade finally said.

Zephyr was certain there was no one else inside the cell, and Zade could tell the same, or else he would have noticed when he found his mate for the first time.

For good measure, Zade had visited the cell once more, and there was no one there.

However, the way Seara talked about Sybill was very convincing. She knew every detail of this mysterious woman named Sybill.

”Thank you!”

”Hi!” Chloe surprised Seara and Zephyr, who were watching a movie together, while Zade went to the main building for a while to take care of something.

”What are you doing here?” Zephyr furrowed his brows. ”I thought you were forbidden to step into the residence again.”

”Oh, don’t be so dramatic. The agreement has been canceled, and I am not here for him, since he is no longer my man.” Chloe then went to Seara, who was staring at her, her expression guarded. ”Don’t worry, I am not here to take your man.”

Chloe then sat down on the sofa next to Seara; she was holding a few shopping bags with her. It seemed she had been on a shopping spree.

”Hey, get out,” Zephyr grunted when Chloe was being chummy with Seara.

But before Zephyr could drag her out, Chloe had pulled out a yellow dress from one of her shopping bags. ”Here, look. Don’t you think this is beautiful?” Chloe showed Seara a beautiful yellow dress, which sparkled under the light. ”This is for you!”

Chloe guessed that Seara must be the one who asked this house to be painted yellow, because that gloomy Lycan king wouldn’t have done it. He was too boring for this bright color.

”What do you think? Do you like it?” Chloe asked excitedly, which put some pressure on Seara.

”Uhm, I like it,” Seara replied timidly.

She was not like the woman who wanted to claw her face. Probably, Seara would if Chloe were trying to get close to Zade.

”Great, why don’t you try?” Chloe clapped her fingers. ”Come on, come on!”

”What are you trying to do?” Zephyr grabbed Chloe by her elbow and turned her body around to face him, but she shoved him away.

”What? I am not trying to do anything,” Chloe said with a frown. ”The first meeting kind of sucks, I know. That’s why I want to make another good first impression.”

”First impression my ass; there is no second chance for a first impression,” Zephyr said disgruntledly. ”Don’t try anything silly, Chloe. Zade might kill you.”

”Relax, I will not do anything; I only want to be friends with her.” Chloe pushed Zephyr away and then went to Seara again. ”Come, try the dress!”

”There is no need; Zade has bought a lot of dresses for her.”

”Oh, seriously.” Chloe rolled her eyes dramatically. ”What does he know about women’s dresses?” And then Chloe took Seara’s hand and led her to the bedroom for her to change the dress.

”How could she enter the place?” Zephyr scratched his head in frustration.

Meanwhile, inside the bedroom, Chloe helped Seara get changed; she tugged her shirt and urged her to take it off.

”No. I will take it off.” Seara pushed Chloe away from her.

”Fine. You take it off. I will wait here.” Chloe sat down on a single sofa, while Seara went to the bathroom to change.

Seara liked the dress; it felt soft to her touch, which was why she wanted to try it, but it was a little bit too big for her.

”It means you have to eat more,” Chloe said when she saw the dress was two sizes too big for her. ”You are too skinny; Zade will not like it.”
