Chapter 1492: Chapter 1493: Yang Zhen’s Plan! (Two Updates)

On careful thought, apart from being somewhat arbitrary in handling Ling Feng’s issue, Yang Zhen doesn’t seem to have done much wrong.

Yang Zhen, expressionless, pointed to the location of the enemy’s stronghold.

”The Barbarian Clan’s camp is easy to defend but hard to attack, with open views around. Attempting a sneak attack is very difficult! The only way is through this river!”

Yang Zhen pointed at the river flowing through the stronghold.

”However, there are many fierce beasts in the river, but I will lead the way at the front.”

Yang Zhen, full of confidence, glanced at the crowd and said calmly, ”How about it, does anyone have any questions?”

Seeing Yang Zhen so actively engaged in strategizing and personally leading the way, changing from his previous arbitrary attitude, all the disciples became excited. It seemed that this Senior Brother Yang was quite reliable!

Among them, an Initial Stage Emperor with strength comparable to Donghuang Xuanyi asked in a deep voice, ”Senior Brother Yang, from which part of the river would it be more suitable for us to cross?”

Yang Zhen pondered for a moment and slowly said, ”Since we have chosen a sneak attack strategy, the action must be covert. This river is divided into two sections, one of which flows through plains. There, with our large numbers, we would be easily detected if we enter the river.”

”The other section flows through a forested area, and it’s nearby, so we will pass through the forest and start from this canyon!”

...

Soon, the group quietly crossed through the forest.

After they left, a figure weaved through the forest, following them at a leisurely pace.

If Ling Feng were here, he would surely recognize that this figure was none other than Winter!

The Barbarian Emperor, Winter!

Winter’s eyes gleamed with cold killing intent. The awakening of the demon not only failed to wipe out the Hall of Conquest’s disciples but nearly annihilated their Barbarian Clan’s elite!

Leaving him as a solitary commander!

Though he was unclear on the exact events, a blood debt must be repaid in blood!

From the back of his hand, a Crystal Sacred Beetle slowly emerged, and the alien insect fluttered its elytra, transmitting all the information seen by another corresponding alien insect.

”Good, very good! Everything is going according to plan!”

Winter snorted coldly. According to this plan, at the very least, he could first trap and kill a batch of the Hall of Conquest’s disciples!

...

”We are about to enter the canyon up ahead. Relax and don’t worry too much.”

Finally, Yang Zhen stopped in front of a canyon, glanced back at the crowd, and warned everyone.

”Understood, Senior Brother Yang!”

”Haha, with Senior Brother Yang leading the way, what is there to worry about?”

All the disciples responded with smiles, not showing much urgency, and the atmosphere was relaxed and joyful.

Shortly after, the group entered the canyon.

As stated before, the canyon was very narrow, accommodating at most two people side by side at its widest and only one at its narrowest.

Moreover, at the top of the canyon, there was a large, horrifying mass of wriggling Ghost Vines.

Fortunately, the canyon wasn’t very long, just over a hundred zhang; as long as they walked below, they could cross it quickly.

With a strong leader like Yang Zhen guiding the way, everyone was quite unperturbed.

Soon, all thirty-something people had entered the canyon, however, the final person to step into the canyon suddenly felt a chill from behind.

Instinctively turning back, their pupils shrank, their expression changed dramatically, and they screamed in terror, ”Win... Winter! Up ahead, run, it’s Winter! The Barbarian Emperor Winter!”
