Chaos Heavenly Emperor Technique

Chapter 865: Chapter 866: Plotting Against! (2nd update)

Originally, with Cao Meng’s King-level strength, even against a monstrous being like the Demon Flood Dragon Prince, there would be no problem. But with the involvement of Nightmare, the situation might have developed in the worst possible direction.

At this moment, at the rightmost path of Sitting and Forgetting Valley, Cao Meng had also encountered the Demon Flood Dragon Prince.

Strictly speaking, he had already fallen into the opponent’s trap.

”You... Pei Shao, you actually set me up!”

Cao Meng clutched his abdomen. Just now, Pei Shao had lied about discovering traces of the Demon Clan and came to report. When he reached Cao Meng, he suddenly drew a dagger laced with intense poison and stabbed it into Cao Meng’s abdomen.

The poison on the dagger was from the Green Scale Emperor Snake, a toxin that paralyzed even a King-level expert like Cao Meng, draining all his strength in an instant.

”General Cao!”

Several elite members of the Northwest Army behind Cao Meng hurriedly drew their weapons, glaring angrily at Pei Shao, loudly questioning, ”Cao Meng, how dare you do such a thing!”

Pei Shao wore a sinister smile. His body flickered, and those three elite soldiers of the Northwest Army felt a sharp pain in their abdomens, being sent flying with one punch from Pei Shao.

”Pfft!”

The three of them simultaneously spat out blood, looking at Pei Shao in disbelief. They couldn’t understand why their former comrade would repeatedly attack his companions.

”Pei——Shao!”

Seeing his subordinates wounded by Pei Shao, Cao Meng glared furiously, wanting to mobilize the Elemental Power within him but found himself unable to do so. Black energy floated on his face as he leaned against a rock to barely stay standing.

”Hehehe...”

At this time, a sinister laugh came from afar, followed by two figures flying towards them. One was clad in Black Armor with a majestic figure, and the other had an exceptionally large head—it was naturally the Demon Flood Dragon Prince and the Nightmare.

”General Cao, it wasn’t Pei Shao who tricked you. It was me, the Crown Prince!”

The Demon Flood Dragon Prince walked step by step to Cao Meng and, seeing Cao Meng’s weakened state, couldn’t help but laugh loudly, ”So what if you’re a King-level expert? Didn’t I subdue you with ease?”

Cao Meng’s face filled with despair, his body trembled as he glanced at the Demon Flood Dragon Prince, filled with regret.

So, Ling Feng was right after all. The Demon Clan’s target was indeed Sitting and Forgetting Valley!

He recalled the words Sun Gongming said to him at the fortress’s final defense line, words he scoffed at. Now he realized how wrong it was not to trust Ling Feng.

”Pfft...” Cao Meng spat a mouthful of poisonous blood and glared coldly at the Demon Flood Dragon Prince, saying in resentment, ”Using deceit to ambush this General, what kind of skill is that? If you have the guts, fight me one-on-one!”

”Hahaha...”

The Demon Flood Dragon Prince laughed heartily, slapping Cao Meng across the face, ”All’s fair in war, General Cao. This isn’t your first time on the battlefield, is it?”

With that, the Demon Flood Dragon Prince turned to Nightmare and said lightly, ”Alright, Nightmare. Use the abilities of your Dream-eating Clan to control this guy!”

”Yes.” Nightmare nodded slightly, waves rippling in his eyes, and soon, Cao Meng’s consciousness fell into a deep sleep, completely under Nightmare’s control.

”Greetings, Third Prince...”

The next moment, Cao Meng raised his head and bowed to the Demon Flood Dragon Prince, though still very weak.

”Not bad, not bad.” The Demon Flood Dragon Prince smirked, taking a Fiery Sun Sky Leader Grass from the Spirit Storage Ring and putting it into Cao Meng’s mouth.

After consuming the Fiery Sun Sky Leader Grass, the snake venom dissipated instantly. In no time, the Elemental Power within Cao Meng started to circulate again. With his King-level expert’s recovery ability, he would soon regain his peak strength.

By then, the Demon Flood Dragon Prince would have a King-level expert by his side.

This way, upon entering the Infinite Cave Heaven, they would have an additional layer of security!

”General!”

The remaining elite soldiers of the Northwest Army were devastated to see Cao Meng controlled and bowing to the Demon Flood Dragon Prince.

”Heh, as for you three...”

The Demon Flood Dragon Prince flicked his fingers, sending three round Elixirs into their mouths, sneering, ”These are special Poison Elixirs from our Demon Clan. If you don’t want to die, you’d better obey me. Otherwise, within three days, poison will break out, and you will die in agony as your body decays!”

Although the Dream-eating Clan had the ability to control puppets, Cao Meng’s cultivation was far higher than Nightmare’s, requiring more mental energy to control him.

In this way, the number of puppets Nightmare could control was greatly limited.

The three men swallowed the Poison Elixirs, immediately trying to force them out but were surprised to find that the Elixir melted upon entering, and a black energy enveloped their Dantian. Once the black energy erupted from the Dantian and spread through their organs, they would be doomed.

”Hmph, you think you can enslave me? The Northwest Army fears no death!”

One of the soldiers drove a Long Sword through his own chest, ”I, Ning Chen, would rather die than be enslaved by you!”

The Long Sword pierced his heart, and Ning Chen spat out a mouthful of black blood. His body convulsed a few times before he was utterly lifeless.

The two remaining Northwest Army elites hesitated looking at Ning Chen’s corpse and glanced at Cao Meng and Pei Shao before finally submitting.

If death was certain, they would fearlessly die, but if there was a chance to survive...

The instinct to survive is a human’s nature!

”Brother Ning... we don’t want to die!”

The two elites sighed, not daring to look at Ning Chen’s lifeless body.

”You two are smart.”

The Demon Flood Dragon Prince smiled coldly, knowing that all pawns eventually perish, sooner or later!

From the beginning of this battle, the Demon Flood Dragon Prince easily subdued a King-level expert, naturally putting him in high spirits.

”It’s almost the third period of night, and the Infinite Cave Heaven is about to open. Let’s first regroup with Poison Wolf and the others.”

The Demon Flood Dragon Prince announced, swiftly flying forward. Nightmare controlled Cao Meng and Pei Shao, following closely.

The other two Northwest Army elites exchanged glances, sighed, closed Ning Chen’s eyes on his dead body, and gritted their teeth, ”Brother Ning, we are not afraid of death; we just believe there is hope as long as we live one more day!”

”Indeed, General Cao is controlled by these demons. We must find a way to free him from their control!”

As they spoke, the two of them used their movement techniques to follow the Demon Flood Dragon Prince and his demon entourage. Now that they were poisoned and on the brink of death, they had no choice but to comply!

...

On the other side, Ling Feng, accompanied by Wang Chuanjia and others, was also rushing towards the center of the Sitting and Forgetting Valley, knowing it would be troublesome if Cao Meng was truly controlled by the enemy.

As they reached the entrance of the center of the valley, they saw, on a hill, a young girl dressed in a green long skirt, surrounded by a layer of white light. Beside her, two Demon Clan experts were ceaselessly attacking the light barrier, clearly intending to take her life!
