Dragon Blood Saint Emperor

At this thought, an even stronger killing intent surged within Ye Wushuang.

Nearby, Elder Yunn was also hesitating. He then looked up and said, ”Kid, Chen Kun has a point. With your current strength, you’ll inevitably be suppressed if you enter the Inner Sect. You do need to be tempered.”

”However, with your talent, you won’t improve much if you stay in the Outer Sect!”

As he pondered this, Elder Yunn grew troubled.

”Elder, this subordinate has thought of a place!” Chen Kun, seeing his chance, said with a bow.

”Oh? What place?” Elder Yunn’s gaze sharpened as he asked immediately.

”Elder, for an Outer Disciple who needs tempering, the only place is the Fierce Demon Cave,” Chen Kun immediately replied, a smile playing on his lips.

”What? The Fierce Demon Cave!”

Elder Yunn’s expression darkened instantly.

The Fierce Demon Cave had a dual purpose. First, it was a prison for Disciples who had committed serious crimes. Any Outer Disciple who committed a great offense against the Sect would be locked inside.

Second, it was a paradise for Fierce Beasts, home to countless powerful ones, including a good number of Tenth-Level Fierce Beasts.

More importantly, a powerful Fierce Demon presided over the cave.

This Fierce Demon was a Demon Beast that surpassed Tenth-Level Fierce Beasts, comparable in power to a Qi Vortex Realm expert. Any ordinary Outer Disciple who entered would almost certainly die.

If Ye Wushuang went in there, he would likely be torn to shreds by the Fierce Beasts.

At this thought, Elder Yunn’s heart sank even further. He turned and stared coldly at Chen Kun. ”Steward Chen, what are you trying to do? This is preposterous! Is the Fierce Demon Cave a place one can simply enter? This isn’t tempering Ye Wushuang; you’re trying to get him killed!”

But how could Elder Yunn have known that Chen Kun was indeed trying to use this opportunity to kill Ye Wushuang?

Chen Kun had seen Ye Wushuang’s performance during the assessment with his own eyes. To be honest, he had been truly shocked. In half a month, Ye Wushuang had broken through four layers to reach the Body Tempering Six Layer, passed the assessment, and successfully earned entry into the Inner Sect.

It was simply unbelievable!

He hadn’t forgotten for a second the words Ye Wushuang had spoken to him not long ago: ”I will remember what happened today!”

Those words were undoubtedly a declaration that Ye Wushuang would get his revenge, making Chen Kun extremely fearful and apprehensive.

’You want revenge on me?’ A vicious glint flashed in Chen Kun’s eyes. ’Ye Wushuang, it would be child’s play for me to crush you!’

Chen Kun sneered inwardly. He glanced at Ye Wushuang again before turning to Elder Yunn with a feigned look of panic. ”Elder, it was only a suggestion! I have no intention of harming him. The Fierce Demon Cave has many Fierce Beasts, but that makes the tempering all the more effective. It’s the most suitable place. If he’s unwilling to go, this subordinate won’t force him... but then our only option is to let him go to the Inner Sect.”

”The Fierce Demon Cave... Not a bad place.”

”Who says I’m unwilling to go?”

Ye Wushuang had been listening quietly, and his sudden declaration came as a shock.

”What? You want to go?”

Elder Yunn’s eyes widened, unable to process what he was hearing. It was incredible. Even Chen Kun was surprised. ’This kid actually dared to agree?’

”This Disciple has thought it through. I will follow Steward Chen’s arrangement!” Ye Wushuang confirmed again.

The Fierce Demon Cave was an infamous place in the Outer Sect, and Ye Wushuang had heard the rumors. It was filled with an endless number of ferocious, bloodthirsty Fierce Beasts.

It was a place all Outer Disciples feared. If an ordinary Body Tempering Six Layer cultivator were to enter, they would be devoured so completely that not even bone fragments would remain.

Therefore, no one dared to go, and no one wanted to go. The very mention of its name made people turn pale with fear.

But Ye Wushuang was an exception. Right now, he desperately wanted to go to the Fierce Demon Cave; he was even a little impatient.

During the assessment, he had killed ten Fierce Beasts, and the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Technique had devoured their blood essence, giving him a taste of its benefits.

The Heaven-Devouring Dragon Technique could devour all things, and that naturally included Fierce Beasts.

The Fierce Demon Cave held countless Fierce Beasts. To others, it was an extremely dangerous, forbidden land. But to Ye Wushuang, who possessed the power to devour, it was a paradise brimming with Cultivation Resources.

So, he had to go!

Neither of the other two men knew what Ye Wushuang was thinking. If they did, they would probably cough up blood in shock.

”Ye the Kid, do you truly not know how fearsome the Fierce Demon Cave is?” Elder Yunn reminded him, putting heavy emphasis on the word ”fearsome.”

”This Disciple is aware!” Ye Wushuang replied.

”And you still want to go?” Elder Yunn almost fainted from exasperation. ’This kid knows the dangers of the Fierce Demon Cave and still wants to go. Has he gone mad?’

”Elder, since he’s willing to go, we should just grant him his wish,” Chen Kun suggested from the side.

Ye Wushuang was well aware of Chen Kun’s intentions, and he sneered inwardly. ’Chen Kun, when I get back from the Fierce Demon Cave, the first person I kill will be you!’

”I do not agree!” Elder Yunn’s face turned cold. ”The Fierce Demon Cave is a place to imprison Disciples who have committed crimes. You’ve done nothing wrong, kid. How can you go to a place like that?”

”A crime?”

Upon hearing this, Ye Wushuang thought for a moment, then asked, ”May I ask, Elder, what kind of crime does one need to commit?”

”What are you planning, kid?”

Elder Yunn narrowed his eyes. He couldn’t shake the feeling that Ye Wushuang was dead set on going to the Fierce Demon Cave. Everyone else avoided it like the plague, yet this kid insisted on going. Was he an idiot?

He really couldn’t fathom what Ye Wushuang was thinking.

”Please inform me, Elder!” Ye Wushuang said, glancing at Chen Kun.

”I’ll tell you,” Chen Kun began, rattling off a list of great crimes. ”Betraying the Sect, murdering fellow Disciples, disrespecting your elders...”

”Disrespecting your elders?”

”That one could work!”

Ye Wushuang’s eyes lit up as Chen Kun spoke. He muttered the idea to himself and then broke into a brilliant smile.

”What are you smiling about?” Chen Kun stopped talking.

”Nothing!”

As he spoke, Ye Wushuang walked toward Chen Kun, causing the latter to frown.

”May I ask, Steward, if... offending an elder... does that count as a crime?” Ye Wushuang asked with that same brilliant smile.

”It does!” Chen Kun answered subconsciously.

The moment the word left his lips, Chen Kun felt something was wrong. Ye Wushuang’s smile grew even more brilliant as he suddenly raised his hand and viciously slapped him across the face.

SLAP!

The crisp sound echoed, exceptionally loud in the silence.

A blood-red handprint appeared on Chen Kun’s right cheek. Blood oozed from the five-fingered Blood Seal, a pathetic sight that showed just how vicious the slap had been.

In that instant, Chen Kun was completely stunned by the slap. He could only clutch one side of his face, staring at Ye Wushuang in a daze.

Not only that, but even Elder Yunn was momentarily stunned.

”Elder, does this mean I can enter the Fierce Demon Cave now?”

Ye Wushuang turned his head to look at Elder Yunn.

”I suppose... I suppose you can!” Elder Yunn replied subconsciously. Even though he was over fifty and had an excellent temperament, he was completely taken aback by Ye Wushuang’s actions, left utterly speechless.

”That’s good!”

Ye Wushuang nodded, shot a cold smirk at the dumbfounded Chen Kun, and turned to leave.

”AHH, you bastard! I’ll kill you!”

Behind him, Chen Kun finally snapped out of it. Rage erupted within him, and with a roar full of killing intent, he lunged forward to chase after Ye Wushuang.

Ye Wushuang had actually slapped him in front of an Elder. It was a profound humiliation! If he didn’t kill Ye Wushuang, he would never be able to quell the hatred in his heart!

”Enough!”

But in the next moment, Elder Yunn, who was standing nearby, unleashed a terrifying wave of True Essence. It surged forth like a torrential river, stopping Chen Kun in his tracks.

Having lived for so many years, Elder Yunn could naturally see through Chen Kun’s attempts to make things difficult for Ye Wushuang.

In his eyes, Chen Kun had deserved that slap!

”Elder, that bastard Ye Wushuang, he...”

Chen Kun’s eyes were filled with venomous hatred. He pointed a trembling, rage-filled hand at Ye Wushuang, but before he could finish, Ye Wushuang’s voice cut him off.

”Tsk, tsk. Your skin is so thick, it made my hand hurt from slapping you!”

Ye Wushuang, who was already walking away, shook the hand he’d used to slap Chen Kun and muttered. His voice wasn’t loud, but it was clear enough to reach Chen Kun’s ears.

Chen Kun’s face went black, and he nearly spat out a mouthful of blood on the spot. Killing intent erupted from his eyes. ”Ye Wushuang, I’ll fucking slaughter you!”
