How Could the Villainous Young Master Be a Saintess?

Vinny didn’t know where Milian lived, but based on where Aesphyra’s dorm area was, he felt he more or less knew where the dorm area for the first-year top five should be.

Along the way, Milian kept grabbing Vinny’s clothes hem like this, like a mother hen protecting her chick from a hawk. Actually, she really didn’t want to do it, but she also felt like she didn’t know what she was supposed to grab on him. Grabbing his hand wasn’t appropriate, but if she didn’t grab anything, she was afraid he’d run. With that contradictory mindset, she could only grab his clothes hem. Even though doing that was completely useless—if Vinny wanted to leave, she still couldn’t stop him—it at least gave her a little sense of security.

“Alright, we’re almost there, right? Point the way. I don’t know exactly where your dorm is.” Vinny said to Milian behind him, who hadn’t said a single word.

Milian stayed silent. After a moment, she raised her hand and pointed in one direction.

So she wanted him to go that way?

Vinny glanced at Milian’s current look—cowardly like a quail—and couldn’t help finding it funny.

So that endlessly arrogant little golden-haired brat could look like this today too? It was really hard to imagine.

With Milian leading the way, Vinny arrived in front of a manor as green as jade. Milian used her student card to open the manor gate.

“Y-you...” After reaching this point, Milian stopped, hesitating like she had something to say.

“Alright, I’ll walk you to here.” Vinny naturally knew he couldn’t follow her inside. After all, inside was a girl’s private space. Going in would be overstepping.

“Um...” Even so, Milian still seemed like she wanted to say something. She opened her mouth at Vinny, then closed it again.

“What now?” Vinny said helplessly. “I already walked you to your front door, and you still won’t let me go. What—are you inviting me in to sit for a bit?”

“W-who’s inviting you in to sit?! I’m not inviting you in to sit!” Milian immediately retorted, her pretty face still carrying traces of the blush left from before.

“Then that’s that. After you get home, stop overthinking. Think about something meaningful—like how to get as high a score as possible on the upcoming finals. That’s still better than thinking about that stuff.” As he spoke, Vinny was about to leave.

“Y-you wait a second!”

“No, elf princess—what is it with you? If you have something, say it.” Vinny was completely baffled by her.

“I... I really won’t become elf crystal, right?” Milian lowered her head, as if she felt too embarrassed to keep asking this question.

Looking at her expression and emotions right now, Vinny ultimately swallowed the words “How would I know?” back down.

I mean, she’s an elf and she doesn’t even know—she’s asking him, a human. How would he know? He wasn’t an encyclopedia. How could he possibly know this kind of thing??

But he could ask the all-purpose Aesphyra. She should know.

“Princess, I’ve already said it a lot of times. No. Can you stop thinking about this, already?” Vinny really didn’t know what else he could say.

“But I’m really scared.” Milian pressed her lips together. Admitting this in front of Vinny was obviously humiliating for her. “What if later I crystallize in the dorm because I fell in love with a human?”

“I love you my ass!” Vinny didn’t even have the strength to complain anymore. “Do you even know what love is? You keep going love love love all day. You won’t have any extra feelings toward me just because you drank a bottle of drink. I’m the same!”

“Your emotional swings earlier were most likely some kind of scary-sounding effect from that potion. It made you get a delusion that you fell in love with someone.” Vinny stated his view. “As long as you yourself don’t think that way, it won’t affect you at all.”

“And crystallizing is even more nonsense. I don’t understand elves, and I don’t know whether elves falling in love with humans really makes them crystallize, but think about it—does that even make sense??”

“There’s a species in this world called half-elves, right? If that were true, wouldn’t every half-elf either have no father or no mother??” Vinny’s sharp complaint made Milian go a bit speechless.

“T-this...”

“So have you ever deliberately asked around about half-elves? Have you ever heard that they’re born missing a parent?”

“Th-that... no.” Milian answered after a moment of silence.

“Then there you go. Even you, an elf princess, have never heard of something like that. That proves it’s not credible. There’s absolutely no such thing. Alright, case closed. Go back and do what you should be doing.” Vinny didn’t give Milian the chance to keep arguing. He answered quickly, leaving her brain no room to think.

To deal with an idiot who likes drilling into dead ends, only this method worked.

“Alright, I’m leaving. Even if you still have questions, I won’t answer. Without even asking, I already know they’ll be weird questions.” Vinny glanced at Milian and turned to leave.

“Hey—human, wait! I... I have one last... question! Wuh! Really—it’s the last question!” Milian saw Vinny was about to go and hurriedly stopped him in a sweet voice.

“I’m impressed. Fine, fine, say it.” Vinny could only stop with an impatient look and turn back to listen to her finish this last question.

He was really damn unlucky, running into a troublesome little ancestor like this.

“But if it’s some weird question that I don’t even want to answer, I’m just leaving.” To prevent Milian from asking something weird again, Vinny added.

“Um... um...” Milian started stammering again. The blush that had mostly faded climbed right back up.

‘[Virtue +100].’

‘[Current Virtue: 2924].’

“Mhm. Say it.” Vinny crossed his arms and waited for Milian’s answer. Just like that, three minutes passed.

“No—what are you even doing?!” Vinny completely broke down. “What is so scorching about it that you can’t even say it out loud?!”

“Mm... d-don’t be fierce to this princess. I... I don’t want to either.” Milian lightly bit her lip.

“If you don’t say it, I’m really leaving.” Vinny clicked his tongue.

“Y-you wait, human! Y-you still don’t understand?!” Milian blurted out.

“Understand what?” Vinny was dumbfounded. “You’ve been stammering forever without a single human sentence—what am I supposed to understand?”

“There’s nobody else here. I really can’t understand what you have to be embarrassed to say.” Vinny rubbed his forehead. “Fine. Maybe if I leave and you’re here alone, you’ll be able to say it more easily.”

“Wait!” Milian finally panicked when she saw Vinny really was going to leave. She didn’t care anymore. With her face burning red, she asked, “I—I... how long until I have a baby??”

‘[Virtue +250].’

‘[Current Virtue: 3174].’

“......” That single sentence shut Vinny into silence on the spot. He froze there without moving, like someone had poured a layer of cement over him and it had dried.

“I... I asked.” After Milian asked it, she hurriedly lowered her head. Her cheeks were full of ashamed redness, like she wanted to crawl into a hole.

“H-hey... y-you should say something, right??” Seeing Vinny not speak for a long time, Milian felt every second was torture. She couldn’t help twisting her hands together as she asked.

“So... what do you want me to say?” After a long silence, Vinny’s soul seemed like it had just returned from some other plane.

“Y-you’re still like this?? Everything is already like this, and you still won’t think of a way together?!” Milian shouted with pressed lips.

‘[Virtue +60].’

‘[Current Virtue: 3234].’

“Think of what way? What are you even talking about?!” Vinny’s eyes widened, his face full of disbelief.

“What I said just now... you want this princess to shout it again?!” Milian said, ashamed and angry.

“Hey, no, no, no! Don’t shout it! If people hear it, what then?!” Vinny hurriedly looked around. “You were silent just now, and now that you finally said it, your voice is this loud—what are you trying to do?! If people hear it, how am I supposed to keep living in this academy??”

“But you didn’t say a single word! Y-you... you’re not thinking of abandoning me, are you?!” Milian clenched her teeth and demanded, deeply ashamed.

“Stop talking!” Vinny felt like he was collapsing. “Big sister—can I call you big sister? What baby are you having? Do you even understand?!”

“Y-you’re human, so what I give birth to will definitely be a half-elf. When that happens—what do I do?!” Milian’s voice trembled. “And you don’t understand half-elves at all—will she be discriminated against when she’s born??”

“I... if I have a baby, and it’s a human’s baby, and my sister finds out, then definitely... I’ll definitely get scolded by my sister! I don’t know how the other clanspeople will look at me. W-we’ll all become the elf race’s stain!”

“I don’t want to crystallize, and I don’t want to become a stain on the elf royal family, and I don’t want my child to be discriminated against either, waaa—sniff sniff sniff!”

‘[Virtue +150].’

‘[Current Virtue: 3384].’

“......” Vinny remembered that when he first met Milian, he had argued with her because of Shicodale. In the end, Milian had been defeated by his continuous absurd attacks and retreated.

Now Milian had taken a round back. This time, it was his turn to be struck into silence by Milian.

This was true silence in the literal sense—Vinny couldn’t say a single word.

Heaven as witness: he, the infamous young master of Camella Royal Capital, Camella’s idea king Vinny, had never in his life been this speechless, this silent, to the point that his emotions were so complicated he didn’t even know whether he should explain first, or stop her from continuing her output first, or teach her some most basic common sense first.

Damn it! One fake “heart-throb” and she could already connect it to having a baby—Shicodale wasn’t even this good at associating things!

So is this the Virtue Milian is popping, or the Virtue he himself is popping??

It could only be that the elf royal family really was full of talents, producing capable people in waves.

No—not capable people. The bad news was, it was a bit far from being human. But the good news was, it was one step closer to god.

Looking at Milian in front of him—desperately wanting an answer, like she wanted to die understanding—Vinny made a decision that betrayed his ancestors.

That was: turn around and leave!

No explaining. No saving. No hope. Wait to die.

Feeling the trouble, Vinny immediately planned to leave.

“Y-you... you really decided long ago to abandon me and the child?!” Milian, seeing this, said something shocking again, frying Vinny crisp inside and out.

“Big sister, lower your voice, okay?? If other people hear this, what then?? I still want to keep getting by in this academy!” Vinny hurriedly stopped Milian.

“Mmph—hmph! Y-you heartless guy! Sure enough, you humans are all like this! Always starting and then throwing things away! This princess never should’ve had any delusions about you!”

“Go! I’ll figure out the child myself!” Milian bit her teeth and said pitifully.

‘[Virtue +100].’

‘[Current Virtue: 3484].’

“Holy shit! I’m begging you—stop talking! Big sister, your brain circuitry—I can’t even complain anymore. How did you connect it to having a baby?!” Vinny wore a mask of pain.

“B-because... isn’t it just like this? As long as you fall in love with someone, you will—you will—this is normal! You don’t even know that?! Are you pretending, or do you just not want to take responsibility?!” Milian raged.

“So now you’re saying I’m the one with no common sense?!” Vinny laughed from anger. “Don’t do this. You’re completely fine, you didn’t fall in love with me, and that kind of thing won’t happen!”

“So all of this is you talking so you don’t have to take responsibility, right?! Tch—stinking scumbag!”

“You really are impossible to reason with, huh?” Vinny felt he simply couldn’t communicate with this golden-haired idiot. The normal logic in his brain had already been completely twisted up by Milian.

No wonder they said don’t argue with idiots. When you argue with idiots, you’ll get dragged into the same intelligence line, and then you’ll be defeated by the other side’s rich experience.

Just as Vinny forced himself to calm down and recovered his ability to think, trying to figure out how to make this clear to Milian, Virtue went up again.

‘[Virtue +200].’

‘[Current Virtue: 3684].’

Hm? Hm??

Vinny’s brows furrowed. Instinctively, he felt something was off about this Virtue increase.

“Ah~ Did I interrupt you two?” A teasing voice with endless meaningful undertones came over.

The moment he heard that familiar voice, Vinny immediately realized who it was. His whole body tensed from head to toe. His head turned toward the direction of the voice like it was snapping onto a statute.

“Looks like I came at the wrong time.” A breathtaking silver-haired girl had her arms folded. At some point, she had leaned against the wall. She smiled as she looked over, her charming eyes filled with endless meaning and an unreadable flavor.

But the only thing that could be confirmed was—

She definitely wasn’t smiling.

“Um... Aesphyra, y-you... why are you...” Vinny didn’t know why, but the instant he noticed Aesphyra, his heart just went weak. Even though he didn’t do anything. Even though there wasn’t any special relationship between him and Aesphyra.

Ah, right. This place... was the dorm area for the first-year top five in the first place, wasn’t it??
