Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

The violet-gold polearm’s divine radiance continued to flash. Long Chen’s violet blood energy was pouring into it without reservation. This violet blood energy contained Long Chen’s combat experience, as well as his comprehension and understanding of laws.

Long Chen had realized that the violet-gold polearm had arranged for everything. The Violet Abyss’s disciples were truly pure. But that did not mean they were stupid; they were simply untaught. They were like blank white pages. All that they needed was the painter.

And that was him.

The violet-gold polearm had the disciples maintain an absolute purity of heart and spirit. It was precisely this purity that allowed them to obtain Long Chen’s absolute and unreserved trust. That was why Long Chen was willing to give them all his experience and comprehension without hesitation. He would have never done that if they’d been the scheming type, not for all rewards in the world.

As for what they gained from this? Long Chen’s combat experience and comprehension were priceless treasures. The violet-gold polearm really had calculated everything perfectly.

The violet-gold polearm was using itself as the conduit. It had already paved the path forward, and all that remained was for the disciples to follow that path. Although the Violet Abyss only had thirty million disciples, after obtaining Long Chen’s combat experience and comprehension, their power would undergo a massive transformation.

Long Chen’s violet blood flowed into the polearm and was then split into thin threads that floated towards the heads of these disciples.

They felt their bodies stiffen in fright. Scenes of slaughter appeared in their minds. They saw mountains of corpses and seas of blood; they saw countless powerful foes standing in their way. But those enemies were swept away, because the one who actually walked the path in front of their eyes was Long Chen.

They saw the road that Long Chen had walked. It was a long road, but every step of his was firm. No one could stop him. Even gods and devils could only kneel and cry beneath his feet. This was the way of the unrivaled!

While they were watching this with their mind’s eyes, an ocean’s worth of combat experience and comprehension was branded onto their body and soul. Their blood instantly became as hot as raging magma.

Their bodies convulsed incontrollably, and their faces contorted with pain. Some people couldn’t help screaming. After all, this amount of information was too vast for them. How could they possibly absorb a lifetime’s worth of battle experience in a few moments? However, it didn’t matter how much pain they were in. The violet-gold polearm made sure that they experienced every bit of it. It didn’t waste a single trace of Long Chen’s violet blood energy.

The branding of the body was still endurable, but the branding of the soul instantly made countless disciples scream. It truly felt as if a red hot iron were pressed against their souls. Even the likes of Shen Qingxue and the others were clutching their heads in pain. They were doing their best to endure.

However, among these disciples, there were a few exceptions. They were the disciples that had come on exchange from Sovereign Mountain. They were not being forcefully branded; they had to take the initiative to absorb this comprehension and experience. After all, they were different from the Violet Abyss’s disciples—they had their own personal paths, and this forceful branding wouldn’t work on them. If the branding was done by force, it would destroy them.

The screams of the disciples filled their ears. Xie Wanyi and the others were all envious.

The Violet Abyss’s disciples were being forcefully fed. But they had to do their best to seize as much as they could. Otherwise, once this opportunity passed, there would never be such a chance again. These could be classified as Long Chen’s personal secrets! Every bit of comprehension and experience they acquired here would affect their future power.

After a day had passed, Long Chen’s face was as pale as a piece of paper. His violet blood was almost completely exhausted, and his Spiritual Strength had also hit rock bottom. He was filled with weariness.

When he opened his eyes, he saw that there were only a few hundred figures on the plaza still holding on. The others had already passed out. But even though they were unconscious, Long Chen could sense an unrivaled air coming from these thirty million disciples.

Long Chen eyed the violet-gold polearm in his hand with undisguised admiration. “Senior, your arrangements are truly amazing!”

The violet-gold polearm lit up, and a stream of energy flowed into Long Chen’s body, nourishing his violet blood and his soul. The transmission was complete, so it could now help him recover. Its energy was incomparably pure, and contained the karmic luck and laws of the new era. Long Chen’s exhausted body rapidly recovered.

As its energy flowed into him, Long Chen felt a call in his soul.

“Senior, bring me to the Path Guidance Tablet!” said Long Chen.

The violet-gold polearm vibrated, and Long Chen instantly vanished from the plaza.

Just as Long Chen left, a group of figures appeared above the plaza. It was the Abyss Lord, Li Qiaoyin, and she had dozens of white-haired elders by her side. All of them had unassuming auras, as if they were one with heaven and earth.

“Countless years were spent investing into this plan. So it was all for this moment. The Heavenly Daos are truly marvelous... Perhaps only Senior could have managed to see this far!” sighed one elder.

From the moment that Long Chen entered the Violet Abyss, these elders had just watched from the side. The violet-gold polearm had not permitted them to do anything, and neither had it given them an explanation. Only now did they understand the violet-gold polearm’s plan. They could sense an incredible pressure coming from Shen Qingxue and the others.

The era of the violet blood race had just started. After enduring for so many years, they were finally soaring into the heavens.

As for the violet-gold polearm... It was the handle of the Violet Gold Bell, the controller of the bell, in a sense. Now that this strategy had been pulled off successfully, the next step would be reclaiming its full body.

“Protect them. Don’t let anyone fall into complete unconsciousness. Their spirits must remain active!” ordered Li Qiaoyin.

“As you command!”

The elders immediately spread out through the plaza. They formed hand seals, sending majestic violet qi sweeping over all the disciples.

If any of these children could no longer endure the pain of the branding, they would fall into a state of complete unconsciousness. In that state, the branding would continue, but the effect could be much worse. This kind of heaven-defying opportunity was far too precious to waste. It would decide the fate of the violet blood race; in fact, it might even decide the fate of the nine heavens and ten lands. They couldn’t be the slightest bit careless.

...

As for Long Chen, he was once more seated in front of the Path Guidance Tablet. The violet-gold polearm flashed behind him. Three thousand chains coiled around him like three thousand dragons.

“Senior, is this your reward for me?”

Long Chen formed hand seals. These three thousand chains were filled with the power of the thirty million disciples of the Violet Abyss.

Long Chen had condensed his experience and comprehension into his violet blood, and the violet-gold polearm had given it to them. To make sure it remained balanced, the violet-gold polearm had taken a bit of their power and replaced it with Long Chen’s. That way they could better merge with the gift that Long Chen had given them. Now, the energy it had taken from them was being sent into Long Chen’s body. It could be considered an equivalent exchange.

Buzzzz....

The violet-gold polearm vibrated slightly, and Long Chen hastily said, “Ah, I’m sorry for my rudeness. They’re my brothers and sisters; there’s no labor and no reward here.”

When the violet-gold polearm reacted, Long Chen sensed its displeasure with his words. Calling it a reward or an exchange was practically an insult. They were family, and family took care of family.

Long Chen’s three thousand runes were originally a representation of the violet blood race’s three thousand laws. The energy that came back from the Violet Abyss’s disciples contained their comprehension and understanding of these three thousand laws. It was not an exchange in the cold, financial sense, but a mutual uplifting, a convergence of strengths. The wisdom of thirty million disciples stacked up like grains of sand, giving Long Chen new insights into areas he had never even considered.

Long Chen formed hand seals. The three thousand chains ignited, and violet flames enveloped him. The violet-gold polearm guided the flames into his body.

Time slowly passed. On the sixth day, the flames around Long Chen finally faded. The Path Guidance Tablet also became tranquil once more.

When Long Chen opened his eyes, the ☷ essence rune appeared in his eyes. He formed a one-handed seal, and his eyes turned violet; in these violet eyes, two hands forming thirty-six hand seals were reflected in a flash.

A giant sword appeared in the sky, filled with murderous power. It pointed at the earth.

Long Chen waved his hand, and this giant sword dissipated, transforming into fading runes. This cataclysmic attack had been stopped, just like that.

He took a deep breath, and, suppressing his excitement, he bowed deeply to the violet-gold polearm.

“Thank you, Senior, for granting me the Earth Dao Violet Eyes!”
