Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Sovereign Mountain—the ancestral land of the violet blood race. Even after the primal chaos war, it remained intact.

As one of the human race’s strongest bloodlines, the violet blood race held an exalted status. Sovereign Mountain was more than just their holy land. It was a symbol of faith for all of humanity.

During the primal chaos war, the heavens collapsed and the earth was torn asunder. Devil creatures poured in like a tide, occupying lands that didn’t belong to them.

The once-prosperous nine heavens and ten lands shattered. The major factions were forced to retreat, and in the end, only the scattered hundred domains and thousand prefectures remained, staying in the war-scorched regions.

Many native lifeforms in those regions had no way to retreat with their ancestors. They were forced to hide within spatial cracks, struggling just to survive.

It was said that when the heavens first fell, when the world’s laws collapsed and the ten thousand Daos withered beyond repair, the great factions realized the severity of the situation. They then retreated into hiding with vast reserves of resources. It was a kind of hibernation, conserving energy to await the return of spring.

But even spatial cracks weren’t safe. Many factions clashed within them and were annihilated. Some ran out of resources, while others destroyed themselves in civil strife.

As for those who remained in the broken nine heavens, they were forsaken. All that awaited them was death.

What no one expected, however, was that the primal chaos war would end not long after the great factions went into hiding. Although devil creatures had invaded the nine heavens, the forsaken could still fend them off.

Countless years passed. Though the survivors were descendants of the forsaken, their yearning to return home never faded.

To the violet blood race, Sovereign Mountain was a holy land. When it reemerged, even the heavens trembled.

Unlike the Dragon Domain, which returned cautiously and silently, Sovereign Mountain made its presence known with majesty and defiance. It declared its return like a king reclaiming his throne.

It was also a summons—an open call for all descendants of the violet blood race to return.

This arrogant disposition shook the nine heavens and also invigorated the human race. After all, the violet blood race was considered the royal bloodline of humanity. Their return meant that humanity could once more rise to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the ten thousand races, instead of enduring endless suppression.

Ever since the primal chaos war, the human race had borne the hatred of the other races. Many blamed humanity for the war’s outbreak and the sorrow that followed.

Thus, over the years, the human race was continuously suppressed and even slaughtered.

But now, with Sovereign Mountain’s return, hope flickered once again. Every person with even a drop of violet blood surged toward that holy land like rivers converging with the sea.

Even though Sovereign Mountain had returned months prior, the vastness of the world meant news reached some places slowly. Descendants from remote regions were still hurrying to join the gathering.

Sovereign Mountain had reappeared in its original location—within the Violet Water Caltrop Basin in the Sovereign Emperor Mountain range. During the chaos war, this entire area had sunk into a bottomless abyss.

Now, Sovereign Mountain floated above that abyss once more, suspended by countless violet chains anchored across the basin.

Despite its name, Sovereign Mountain wasn’t a single peak—it was a massive mountain range. The soil, the rocks, and even the vegetation were various shades of violet. Above the Sovereign Mountain shone a sacred light that covered nearly the entirety of the Sovereign Emperor Heaven.

Even from a great distance, everyone could sense Sovereign Mountain’s sacred aura. This was truly the return of the king.

Even from three days’ distance, Long Chen could sense it. That majestic aura stirred something within him. While the other races crept back with tails between their legs, Sovereign Mountain soared back with pride and strength.

The way it revealed itself made Long Chen feel a swell of pride. This was how the king of the human race should act.

Long Chen continued traveling via teleportation formations toward Sovereign Mountain. The traffic was overwhelming—waves of people flooded in that direction. Many of them were the descendants of the violet blood race. But as Long Chen observed them, he noticed their violet blood was no longer pure. Seeing their excited expressions, he couldn’t help feeling bad for them.

After all, even geniuses like Luo Yanfeng and the others, whose violet bloodlines were exceptionally pure, weren’t certain whether they’d be able to get into Sovereign Mountain.

If they weren’t confident, then these hopefuls with diluted bloodlines didn’t stand a chance. Long Chen could already foresee their inevitable disappointment.

Besides the violet blood descendants, many talented cultivators from other races also approached. They came not to join, but to glimpse the legendary Sovereign Mountain with their own eyes.

Fortunately, it was said that Sovereign Mountain did not bar outsiders from visiting. That news eased Long Chen’s concerns. Perhaps those with impure bloodlines had come merely to honor their ancestors, fully aware they would not be accepted.

After two days of continuous teleportation, he reached a different kind of transfer hub—one built specifically for Sovereign Mountain pilgrims.

Now, the formations were split into two lines: one for those with violet blood, and one for everyone else.

As Long Chen had a tablet of the violet blood race, he didn’t need to be checked like everyone else. Just by handing over the tablet, he was allowed into the better transportation formation.

When Long Chen walked into the transportation formation, he found that there were hundreds of violet blood disciples waiting. All of them looked excited.

When they saw Long Chen, one of them shouted, “Brother, quick, you’re the last one! We can move out now that there are enough of us!”

This was a supreme long-distance transportation formation. Only the violet blood race’s disciples were given this preferential treatment. Everyone else would have to take shorter transportation formations and pay a large fee.

Once Long Chen entered, the transportation formation’s stone pillars started to light up. It was on the verge of activating. However, such advanced formations required time to fully activate.

“Brothers and sisters of the violet blood race, this is a supreme long-distance transportation formation. During the transportation, suppress your auras and remain still. Stay cool no matter what happens. Under no circumstances should you release your bloodline power, as it could destabilize the formation. If that happens, we’ll be thrown into the chaotic flow of space and die!” warned a tall woman in the transportation formation.

She was the only Sovereign sprout among them and had naturally become their leader even before Long Chen’s arrival.

Now that the group was complete, she issued her warning. This was no ordinary journey.

“Senior apprentice-sister Wanyi, don’t worry. We won’t move even in death if it’s for you!” joked one man.

“If you could move while being dead, that would be quite the talent,” she replied with a laugh.

Although she was serious when she warned them at the start, she was actually quite friendly, making them feel relaxed.

Seeing everyone laughing and joking, Long Chen also smiled. The atmosphere was quite cheerful.

“Little brother, you’re pretty handsome, especially when you smile! What’s your name?” asked a girl.

The girl next to Long Chen had been too intimidated to speak earlier, but his smile gave her the courage to speak.

Long Chen was a bit speechless, but he replied politely, “I’m Long Chen.”

The others didn’t react much, but the woman named Wanyi flinched when she heard that name.
