Ascending to Godhood: I Can Foresee All Futures

Chapter 338: Chapter 187: Entering the Dao and Profound Mastery

”So, you’ve succeeded?”

Her voice was a bit softer than usual.

”I have.”

Chen Sheng stood and nodded gravely, then his gaze fixed on her, burning intensely:

”My foundation is secure, I’m in peak condition, and now...”

”I need you to help me cultivate!”

Upon hearing his words, a crimson blush spread across Sun Yuzhi’s fair cheeks at a visible pace, reaching all the way to her earlobes.

She knew, of course, what Chen Sheng meant.

Jiao and Luan Complement Each Other. A fusion of Yin and Yang, used to assault the realm of Profound Mastery.

Though she had spent the past few days trying to convince herself, now that the moment had arrived, a tide of shyness and helplessness still washed over her.

After a moment’s hesitation, Sun Yuzhi instinctively averted her gaze from Chen Sheng, turning slightly to the side. Her fingers unconsciously toyed with the corner of her sleeve as she forced herself to say calmly:

”Break... breaking through to Profound Mastery is no small matter. Are you truly prepared for everything? Is your foundation completely stable? Don’t... Don’t rush into this and ruin your path.”

Though Sun Yuzhi’s tone was firm, it carried a subtle tremor she herself hadn’t noticed.

Seeing her like this, Chen Sheng felt both amused and warmed. He took a step forward, his voice steady and confident:

”Don’t worry. If I’m asking, it’s because I’m completely confident. It’s just... I’m not sure if you, Yuzhi... are also ready?”

Chen Sheng’s gaze swept over Sun Yuzhi’s slender figure, which was pulled taut with nervousness.

The breathtaking curves outlined by her blue dress stood in stark contrast to her usual cold, imposing aura, making her all the more captivating.

It sparked an impulse to explore her depths.

As Chen Sheng’s gaze swept over her, Sun Yuzhi felt her skin flush and her heart begin to race.

She took a deep breath, striving to maintain the composure of a Vice Envoy. Her back straightened, but she didn’t dare look at Chen Sheng again. Her gaze drifted to a corner of the stone chamber as she struggled to keep her voice even:

”Since... since this is a mutually beneficial strategy, I... naturally consent. Please step outside for a moment. I need to adjust my breathing and my state of mind. In a quarter of an hour... you may come back in.”

”Alright. I’ll wait for you.”

A slight smile touched Chen Sheng’s lips. He said no more, turning to step out of the stone chamber and smoothly reactivating the sound-proofing Restriction on his way out.

Inside the stone chamber, only Sun Yuzhi was left.

As she heard Chen Sheng’s footsteps fade into the distance, her tense body finally relaxed slightly, only to be assaulted by an even stronger wave of shyness.

’Just like that... I gave in?’

’This is so embarrassing!’

Sun Yuzhi bit her bottom lip, her hands twisting together unconsciously as she paced a few steps back and forth inside the chamber.

Suddenly, she froze. A clever glint appeared in her eyes, as if she’d just had an idea.

Though her cheeks were still flushed, the corners of her mouth curved into a faint arc, a hint of slyness and self-deception in the expression.

Sun Yuzhi composed herself and walked slowly to the flat Cyan Jade Platform in the center of the chamber—the one formed after the original jade stele had receded. She lay down gently, placing her hands at her waist.

Then she closed her eyes, and the True Essence within her began to circulate slowly.

Before long, the aura around Sun Yuzhi grew exceptionally placid, almost *too* serene. An alluring blush graced her fair cheeks and slender neck, and her long eyelashes trembled faintly.

It was as if she had reached a critical point in her cultivation—or perhaps for some other reason entirely—and had fallen into a state of ”oblivion,” completely unresponsive to the outside world.

A quarter of an hour later, Chen Sheng entered, right on time.

But the sight that met his eyes made him pause, a flicker of astonishment passing through his eyes.

Sun Yuzhi was lying perfectly still on the Cyan Jade Platform, her blue dress fanned out around her, revealing her stunning curves.

Her eyes were shut tight, her breathing even and deep. With her cheeks flushed red, she seemed to be immersed in the deepest state of meditation, completely oblivious to the world.

Chen Sheng was puzzled at first. He took a few steps closer to examine her more carefully.

His gaze swept over her faintly trembling eyelashes. He noticed the blush wasn’t just on her cheeks but had spread behind her ears and down the exposed sliver of her fair neck. Even the skin around her delicate collarbones was tinged with a faint pink.

And the circulation of True Essence within her body didn’t seem to be entirely unconscious, either....

At this, Chen Sheng understood everything.

An amused smile couldn’t help but tug at the corners of his lips.

’So she’s faking it!’

The ever-dignified and aloof Vice Envoy Sun was resorting to this blatant act of self-deception.

She was pretending to have lost consciousness, whether from her cultivation or some other reason, and in doing so, had handed all initiative over to him.

This way, she wouldn’t have to face the mortifying interaction head-on. Everything could be blamed on an accident or the demands of her cultivation.

It was a way to preserve her fierce pride and dignity.

”How... adorable.”

Chen Sheng laughed inwardly, but he also felt a unique wave of tenderness and excitement.

He didn’t mind taking the lead.

Since she needed an out, he would give her one.

He just hoped that the ”unconscious” Vice Envoy Sun could truly remain as serene as she was currently pretending to be.

He hoped she wouldn’t get too excited when it came time for Entering the Dao.

At this thought, the amusement in Chen Sheng’s eyes deepened. Without further hesitation, he walked slowly toward the Cyan Jade Platform—and toward the exquisite, slumbering beauty upon it.

In the stone chamber, the soft light of a Luminous Pearl cascaded down.

It illuminated their two approaching figures, and the very air seemed to gradually grow hot and intimate.
