Chapter 124: After Intimate Night.

After Intimate Night.

The world was still wrapped in quiet gentleness, the sort only a resting city could keep. Out in the world, the horizon glimmered with the first brushstrokes of dawn. A golden blush kissed the sky, blending with the warm orange that signaled the slow rising of the sun. Soft light seeped through the huge arched windows of an opulent mansion in the centre of the capital—light drizzling across the velvet blue curtains and the gleaming marble floor like liquid flames.

Within, the room glowed with a rich, kingly blue motif. Sapphire drapes billowed softly against the breeze; walls were hung in ornate tapestries, and gilded silver lanterns dangled unlit. But amidst the beauty, an unmistakable odor wafted—rich, musky, heavy with the aroma of sweat, sex, and entwined bodies. It hung in the rich upholstery and the silken pillows that littered the room. The opulent chamber witnessed the remnants of a night that was long, hot, and illicit. In the middle, a colossal four-poster bed, its black frame adorned with magical runes, stood covered with elegant linens of blue silk.

Under a heavy blue blanket, a man and woman—Leon and Rias—were entwined in each other—naked, still, soaked in warmth and mutual fatigue. The Leon’s raven-black hair rested unkempt across the pillow, a striking contrast to the Rias’s red locks streaming like fire across his chest. Her cheek lay on his chest, their bodies wrapped together—immobile and quiet in the heat of mutual weariness. The room was quiet, the ponderous quite broken only by the gentle, even pace of their breathing. Stillness hung on for a little more time before the eyelids of Leon fluttered lightly, the warmth of dawn summoning him out of the depths of sleep.

His golden eyes slowly opened, their fierce, piercing intensity adjusting to increasing light. Shifting, he was aware of something weighing on his chest—then a fall of red hair. He knew. A tiny smile curled his lips, Even though a light heaviness in his lower body was a reminder of the intensity of the night. He shifted her some hair from her chest and uncovered her face. He looked to the woman on top of him. Rias slept peacefully, her breathing tranquil, her face serene but her cheeks stained with a gentle flush of weariness. The scent of their night of shared passions still clung to the skin—the undeniable evidence of their intimacy. Leon reached out gently, fingers interlacing through her scarlet hair with a softness that belied the flame they’d just extinguished.

Laughing softly, he whispered, ”Yesterday... you sucked the life out of me like some parched creature sucking dry a river after years of drought. You really missed me, huh?”

His voice was gay, teasing, but beneath was abiding love. ”If I didn’t have unlimited stamina, I’d be dead as a doornail by now.”

His fingers still folded delicately through her hair as he spoke, in a gradual crawl upward towards her head. He laid a feather-light kiss on her brow, not wanting to disturb her. She shifted a little but didn’t wake.

The room was still, saved only by the faraway calling of birds outside the windows and the golden-orange illumination flowing steadily in.

Leon shifted his gaze, watching toward the horizon. The sky had fully bloomed—radiant orange colors staining the world in fire and heat.

”Pretty morning...” he breathed, in a low tone.

With deliberate ease, he gently raised her head from his chest, setting it against the pillow, all without jostling her.

Then he inched out from under the blanket, being careful not to wake Rias.

The cool air swept against his naked skin, a pleasant contrast to the heat that still lingered on his body. His muscular, chiseled form—smooth-skinned and unclad—harvested the soft sunlight like a bronze sculpture come to life. He reached up, raking his messy hair, and yawned once before moving silently across the smooth floor. Ahead lay the attached bathroom—an lavish room of white marble and shining silver hardware. Sandalwood and lotus still perfumed the air. Steam drifted languidly from the tub, already full due to the magic that had been built into the design of the mansion. Light blue tiles covered the walls in tasteful designs, and a crystal chandelier showered the room with soft rainbows. Leon exhaled contentedly as he settled into the hot water, a soft groan escaping his lips.

Warmth seeped through his body, soothing each ache left in the wake of the night.

Steam curled around him slowly, bearing scents of lavender and sandalwood that soothed his senses. He leaned against the water, allowing the cradle to hold him as his eyes shut. The marble bath, cool and silent, provided something greater than relaxation—it was a sanctuary, a respite from the brutality of life. After a quiet few moments, he slowly exhaled and opened his eyes, the tranquility of the bath still in his bones. He washed, then got out, grabbing a soft towel. His movements were smooth and slow—efficient, practiced, but inflected with quiet calm. Drying, he walked back into the bedroom, the heat of the water still on his skin in faint clinging strands. Rias remained sleeping, her breathing peaceful, body loose. A soft smile pulled at her lips even in sleep.

Leon stood at the edge of the bed for a moment, watching her. A soft smile danced on his lips.

”Looks like in attempting to drain you, you drained yourself,” he whispered, humor glinting in his golden eyes.

Leon remained silently, his eyes fixed on the sleeping figure, and his mind wandered back to yesterday—the instant he laid eyes on her once more after months of separation.

He had immediately felt the change in her cultivation.

She had crossed over, firmly entering the Master Realm. He and Aria had both been shocked. When Rias left Silver City, she had still been stuck at the peak of the Novice Realm, struggling to ascend. Yet now, she had crossed that threshold. He remembered how Aria had praised her growth, eyes wide with disbelief. Leon had smiled then, gently pulling Rias into his arms and whispering, ”You’ve done well, darling.” The way her eyes had lit up—proud, radiant—was a memory he now held close. But he also knew that her practice had not been entirely consistent. Not until last night. After their ravishing, intense joining, he had managed her energy, stabilized her foundation. Now, she wasn’t merely standing at the border of the Master Realm—she was solidly grounded in it.

He grinned to himself, fully aware of just how hard it was to penetrate the Master Realm in Galvia. Breaking through required more than effort—talent, discipline, and unflinching concentration were needed. Leon had always had an advantage due to the cheats his system provided —he dint feel ever faced any problem in breakthrough. However, for others, it used to take years of persistent cultivation. Some never did break through at all.

It was for this reason Rias’s reached master realm own astonished him so much.

And then an idea hit him. Up until yesterday, her talent had been normal. Was her talent itself enhanced overnight — like her stable of cultivation? An idea occurred in his mind, and he recalled something the system used to say: not only would his intimate bond improve the cultivation of his partner, but it could improve the inborn potential as well.

Interested, Leon mentally called ”System,” he whispered to himself. ”Show me Rias’s stats.”

A sharp ding rang in his mind, followed by the sound of the system interface chime he knew so well.

Leon smiled to himself, still staring at the glowing system board before it dropped out of his line of sight.

”High talent...” he grumbled, smiling. ”Well, well... guess I really did more than just love her last night.”

The words lingered in the air, gentle and playful—half humor, half soft truth only he could fully enjoy.
