Path To Godhood Begins With Marrying Wife And Gaining SSS Rank Skill

Chapter 637: 637:Enraged Saint

While the battle at the front continued raging without any sign of slowing down and Saints clashed fiercely across the skies while countless soldiers fought desperately below, the fighting around the supply route abruptly came to a halt.

For a brief moment, an eerie silence descended over the area as everyone instinctively turned toward the distant gorge and then toward Ethan.

Shock filled their faces and disbelief filled their eyes. Even the sounds of battle seemed quieter for a moment.

Because what they had just witnessed was simply ridiculous.

A Saint Realm expert had been blasted away by a spear thrown by a Divine Knight.

No matter how they looked at it, it felt absurd.

Was this some kind of joke?

If it was, then it was an incredibly brutal one.

Several Divine Knights who had been fighting Ethan only moments ago unconsciously took a step backward while staring at him. Some swallowed nervously while others tightened their grip on their weapons. The confidence they previously carried had completely disappeared.

Then a furious roar suddenly erupted from the mountain wall.

”GAHHHH!”

A hand burst out from the enormous pile of rubble and large rocks were thrown aside while dust clouds exploded outward. Soon, an old man slowly crawled out from the destroyed cliffside while blood dripped from the corner of his mouth.

His armor had been damaged, his robes were torn apart, and several injuries covered his body. His face was pale, yet the fury burning inside his eyes seemed capable of setting the world on fire.

Without wasting any time, the old man immediately pulled out a potion from his storage item. He uncorked it and gulped it down in one go. A faint glow spread across his body while his injuries began stabilizing rapidly. Then he slowly stood up and turned his blazing eyes toward Ethan.

The hatred within them was almost tangible.

Humiliation.

Rage.

Shame.

Everything twisted together into something ugly.

A Saint. A powerful Saint. Had been blasted away by a Divine Knight.

How could he possibly accept such humiliation?

”A mere Divine Knight dares to interfere?!”

His furious voice echoed throughout the battlefield and sent chills down the backs of countless soldiers. The old man’s aura exploded outward violently.

BOOOOOM!

The pressure swept across the battlefield like a raging storm. Several nearby soldiers were forced backward while dust and loose rocks were blown away. The Divine Knights behind him immediately sensed that something was wrong.

”Sir Acker! You can’t lose your composure here!” one of them shouted anxiously.

Another quickly followed.

”Please calm down! Our mission comes first!”

A third Divine Knight pointed toward the supply convoy.

”Forget that brat for now! The supplies are our priority!”

Another expert clenched his fists tightly and shouted.

”Sir Acker! If you waste time here, the entire operation could fail! We didn’t come here to settle personal grudges!”

However, Acker seemed incapable of hearing any of them. His eyes remained locked onto Ethan. The humiliation had completely clouded his judgment. The more he thought about what had happened, the angrier he became. His chest rose and fell heavily while veins bulged across his forehead.

”A Divine Knight...”

Acker muttered through gritted teeth.

”A mere Divine Knight actually dared to humiliate me.”

His voice trembled with uncontrollable rage.

Then he slowly raised his sword and pointed it directly at Ethan.

”I’ll crush you!”

”I’ll tear you apart!”

”I’ll make you regret being born!”

The surrounding Divine Knights immediately cursed inwardly.

”Damn it!”

”He has completely lost it.”

”This is bad.”

Yet before any of them could stop him...

BOOOOOM!

Acker shot forward.

The air exploded beneath his feet and his figure disappeared instantly. The terrifying pressure rushing toward him caused Ethan’s expression to become serious.

He could clearly feel the overwhelming killing intent. It felt like an entire mountain was crashing directly toward him. The surrounding soldiers immediately retreated because nobody wanted to remain between those two monsters.

Ethan slowly exhaled and then he gripped his greatsword tightly.

Mana surged through every part of his body while the ground beneath his feet cracked apart. His eyes never left the rapidly approaching Saint. Acker’s furious roar echoed across the battlefield.

”DIE!”

The distance between them vanished instantly.

Acker’s sword descended.

Ethan swung his greatsword upward to meet it.

BOOOOOOOM!

A deafening explosion erupted across the battlefield. The collision generated a terrifying shockwave that spread in all directions.

The ground shattered apart while massive cracks spread across the battlefield. Dust and debris exploded into the air. Nearby soldiers were thrown backward like leaves caught in a violent storm. Several horses panicked while weapons flew from soldiers’ hands. The entire area shook violently under the force of the impact.

Ethan felt a tremendous force travel through his arms. His boots dug deep into the ground and carved long trenches through the earth. Even then, he was still forced backward. The earth beneath him split apart while he slid dozens of meters across the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Acker was also sent flying backward from the collision. His body spun through the air before he finally landed heavily upon the ground.

BOOM!

Dust exploded around his feet. The old Saint immediately stabilized himself and slowly raised his head.

His eyes burned with madness. His expression had become completely twisted.

The hatred inside him had only grown stronger after the clash.

He pointed his sword directly toward Ethan while his killing intent surged once again.

”I will kill you!”

His furious voice echoed throughout the battlefield and caused countless people nearby to tremble.

CLANG!

The moment the two separated after their devastating clash, neither of them showed the slightest intention of retreating or giving ground.

Instead, both figures erupted toward the skies at the same time like two meteors ascending into the heavens.

The earth beneath them exploded apart from the sheer force generated by their movements while powerful shockwaves spread throughout the gorge and blasted away loose stones, dust, and debris.

Massive cracks raced across the battlefield while nearby soldiers staggered backward in alarm. Some were forced to plant their weapons into the ground just to remain standing while others shielded their faces from the violent winds created by the clash of two terrifying powerhouses.

BOOOOOM!
