Path To Godhood Begins With Marrying Wife And Gaining SSS Rank Skill

BOOOOM!

The impact struck Ethan like a falling mountain.

For a brief moment the world around him seemed to explode with light and noise. The force tore through the remaining fragments of his shattered barriers and slammed directly into his body.

Ethan’s eyes widened as the overwhelming pressure crashed into him.

The next moment his figure was blasted backward through the air.

The ground below shattered as his body struck the frozen battlefield.

CRASH!

The impact created a deep crater in the snow covered earth. Ice and broken stone burst outward in every direction while dust and frost shot into the air like a violent storm.

But the momentum did not stop there.

Ethan’s body bounced violently off the ground and was thrown forward again.

He slid across the frozen surface at terrifying speed while his armor scraped against the rough ground.

A long trail of destruction appeared behind him.

Snow, stone, and shattered ice were dragged along his path as if a giant blade had carved through the battlefield.

BOOOOM!

He struck another raised ridge of frozen earth and smashed straight through it. The collision sent chunks of rock flying while Ethan’s body rolled across the ground again.

The dragging marks stretched across several hundred meters.

Finally his body crashed into a cluster of broken stone boulders left from remains of the mountain side.

CRAAASH!

The layer of mountains shattered instantly under the impact.

Stone fragments rained across the snow as the entire structure collapsed around him.

For several seconds nothing moved.

The battlefield fell silent again.

Snow drifted slowly through the air while dust from the shattered ground settled gradually.

Inside the newly formed crater, Ethan lay half buried beneath broken stone and scattered ice.

A faint groan escaped his throat.

“…Tch.”

His fingers twitched slightly before his hand pushed against the ground.

Stone fragments rolled aside as he slowly forced himself upright.

Blood had appeared at the corner of his lips and a long tear ran across the shoulder of his coat where the earlier blade had cut him. The impact had clearly shaken his body and small cracks spread across parts of his armor.

Ethan wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand.

Then he slowly stood up.

The cold wind blew across the battlefield again and moved his cloak slightly.

His eyes lifted toward the direction the attack had come from.

His gaze sharpened immediately.

That attack had not come from the assassin he was holding.

It had come from somewhere else.

Ethan flexed his fingers slowly while the dull ache in his chest began fading as mana circulated through his body.

“…So there’s another one,” he muttered quietly.

Several hundred meters away, the snow where he had been standing earlier was still swirling from the violent explosion.

Near the shattered watch post ruins, the assassin Ethan had been beating earlier had already crawled away and was now staggering to his feet.

But Ethan’s attention was no longer focused on him.

His senses expanded across the battlefield once again.

This time he searched for something different.

“There is no need to hide anymore…” Ethan spoke calmly while staring into the darkness.

For a moment nothing moved.

Then a layer of darkness slowly oozed out of the shadows between the broken stones. It twisted like smoke before gathering into a human shape.

A figure stepped forward.

The man wore a dark cloak and a mask that covered his entire face. His presence was strange and difficult to measure.

However the pressure around him was unmistakable.

Ethan narrowed his eyes.”You are Mythic rank, right?”

The masked man tilted his head slightly.

“Yes… you didn’t expect that?”

Ethan wiped the remaining blood from his lips and straightened his back.

“Of course not,” he replied calmly. “How can I expect myself to be worthy to be hunted by a Mythic rank?”

His gaze hardened.

“Who are you?”

“Who sent you?”

The masked man stared at him with cold eyes.

“Sorry. I can’t reveal that. After all, you are going to die.”

SWOOSH!

The moment those words finished his figure blurred.

Ethan reacted instantly. He flicked his hand forward.

BANGHHHHHHH!

A violent explosion of force erupted between them.

The masked man’s eyes widened as he saw his dagger buried in Ethan’s hand.

The blade had pierced into the palm, but it could not go any deeper.

For a brief moment he froze in confusion.

Then he noticed something.

Dark crimson scales had appeared along Ethan’s arm, covering his skin like armor.

“Yo—”

He could not finish the sentence.

Ethan’s fist shot forward with brutal force.

But the punch struck nothing.

The masked man’s body dissolved into a blurry afterimage and his real figure appeared several meters away.

Ethan did not give him time to breathe.

He slammed his foot heavily onto the ground.

CRACK!

The frozen earth shattered beneath his step as he launched himself forward like a cannon.

At the same time his aura surged violently.

He activated the Battle Frenzy art.

A fierce energy erupted from his body and his eyes sharpened with intense killing intent as he charged toward the masked enemy.

The moment Ethan activated the Battle Frenzy art, the air around him changed.

A violent surge of power erupted from his body. His muscles tightened and the mana inside him began circulating at an extreme speed. The ground beneath his feet cracked and frost burst outward from the sudden pressure.

His eyes turned sharp and focused.

Even though he was only a Legendary Rank knight, the aura spreading from him at that moment was fierce and dangerous.

The masked man watched quietly.

For the first time since appearing, a faint hint of interest appeared in his eyes.

“Still planning to fight?” the man said calmly. “You should understand the gap between us.”

Ethan did not reply.

His figure suddenly shot forward.

BOOM!

The ground exploded behind him as he crossed the distance between them in an instant.

His fist moved like a cannon blast aimed directly at the man’s head. The masked man raised his hand calmly.

BANG!
