Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1212: Car thieves

They have continued to greatly produce automobiles as fast as they could. But they simply couldn’t produce as much as what the people demanded. And even if they did, not everyone would necessarily want to purchase it at full price.

Why spend thousands of Sand Dollars if you could get it for free?

Those thieves, marauders, and hooligans were now targeting the territories allied to Reborn, knowing that they had the most amount of people with automobiles.

They couldn’t target New Sparta. Conglomerates and Upper Echelon companies had a tight defense around their own supplies, especially the automobiles.

So, they targeted the isolated territories. These were only protected by a few companies not even in the top 200 of the Golden Rankings. The risk was very low.

”Now, for incidents as small as these, we do not dare interrupt your very busy schedule,” said Narito. ”But we’ve had a report that now some people are planning on attacking one of our automobile factories.”

Michael frowned. ”The Mobius?”

They shook their heads. ”No, boss. One of the smaller factories near the Kings region.”

These were the factories made during their expansion to the Lower Queens region.

”Who’s going to attack us?”

”The Ersatz?”

Michael frowned again. The Ersatz were going to attack them this soon?

”How did you find out about this attack?” he asked them. Though, he should have known who.

”ME!”

Fudge suddenly appeared from under his feet and jumped up into his head. The violet slime was once again wearing his black ninja outfit with a cape inlined with red. But this time, he was also wearing the military hats of the Ersatz soldiers.

Since Fudge was the one who reported on this news, Michael was pretty sure of its accuracy.

”They needed some automobiles,” said Fudge. ”It’s only now that they’re starting to get interested in our products. They’re sending a few high-levelled Maugnetics for this mission.”

Fudge then spat out a shadow blob, which then slithered its way on over towards the dynamic map in the wall.

Red blobs popped out inside one of their territories, near Angora City, about to attack three factories stationed there near each other.

”They chose this place because it’s also where some of our gas is being transported.”

So, this attack would have gotten them the automobiles and the fuel.

”Should we mobilize our forces to intercept them?” Narito asked. The Shadow Orcs behind him looked ready and willing.

But Michael shook his head. ”I don’t think so. If we intercept them before they attack, they’ll know we’ll have someone on the inside.”

He looked towards Fudge, who just shrugged.

Michael still wanted the Ersatz to be oblivious about their spies inside. That way, they’d have free reign to start their cleansing of their brainwash from the inside out.

”We’ll let them attack the Factories,” he said. ”Then, we’ll defend.”

He ordered them to start evacuating the night shift employees from the factories, making sure that no one would be inside once the fight broke out.

”You heard the boss,” barked Sasuki. ”RAH TA TA!”

”RAH TA TA!”

”This is our chance to finally advance our cultivation!” said Narito. ”BU TO TO!”

”BU TO TO!”

After their preparations, the Shadow Orcs began to teleport straight into the factories, turning themselves into the shadows in the dark corners.

Michael, of course, was nearby, watching everything through the Mini Drones he had positioned around the Factories. This way, he could watch all three Factories at the same time.

Ideally, he wouldn’t have to use his Mini Drones. But he would if it came down to it.

Finally, the attack started. The Ersatz soldiers and warriors burst through the windows of the factories, sending flash shards flying inwards.

They moved with quickness. They didn’t tarry and simply went towards their objective: the automobiles.

They focused their forces on the warehouse, where about a thousand automobiles were stored. They even targeted the automobiles that were still in the middle of production, those that hadn’t been painted or polished yet.

As long as it could move, they started using their Aubility Powers to miniaturize the automobiles into small, toy-like pieces.

This allowed them to easily transport the stolen automobiles out and retrieve them for their own uses.

And as some of these Ersatz warriors were about to put the toy automobiles into boxes, a shadow suddenly engulfed his entire being.

Weird rhythms and beats resounded throughout the entire factory.

Shadow Orcs emerged out from the corners, fighting off the Ersatz warriors who quickly pivoted from retrieval to survival.

They fought against the Shadow Orcs, who were lower in cultivation than they were. But the shadows and element of surprise were with the Orcs.

It was an even fight.

That was until the leaders of the Ersatz warriors emerged. They were 9th stage Body Formation cultivators. One in each Factory.

The Shadow Orcs that tried to assassinate this warrior ended up injured or almost killed. They couldn’t touch them.

Should I move?

Michael had half a mind to start blasting them with his Unity Gun, when all of a sudden, he felt a change in the atmosphere.

The Shadow Orcs felt it too. And apparently, the Ersatz too.

The 9th stage leaders all looked around warily.

Michael scanned the room, until he eventually found the cause of this disruption.

In the first factory, he saw a man standing in the darkness. His entire body emanated a blue brightness that illuminated him.

His features were sharp. Eyes unbothered. One could even describe him as sleepy.

The man took out his sword. Lightning zapped through the blade as he did.

The 9th stage Ersatz leader frowned. He looked at the box containing the toy-automobiles. Only half had been filled.

And with quick movements, he flashed towards the box.

The other Ersatz warriors moved at the same time, blocking anyone from stopping their leader.

They were going to sacrifice themselves for the retrieval of the automobiles.

But just as the leader was about to move, blue lightning flashed through his neck.

Then, he was decapitated.

”Haaa... I woke up for this?”

Michael’s eyes widened. JAKU?!
