Immortal of the Nine Realms

The term Supreme Bone immediately reminded Fang Chen of the nine traverse bones that the Human Race of the Nether Ruins era possessed, of which the Human Race of the Nine Realms era lacked.

Pu Xun looked eagerly at Fang Ding and Fang Chen. ”Lords, the Flame Race once mentioned that if an expert from our race ascends to the Saint Realm, the Demonic Beast will gain a Supreme Bone. I wonder if this matters...”

Fang Ding nodded. ”The Flame Race did not lie to you. This matter is naturally true. The Supreme Bone represents a race’s strength, weakness, rise, and fall. As long as there is one more Saint, the racial fortune will surge, and the race will gain one more Supreme Bone. Take our Human Race, for example, walking from humble, ant-like slave soldiers to where we are today. Because of the Nine Great Saints of the Nether Ruins, our Human Race possesses nine Supreme Bones.

”With the Supreme Bones present, our talent for cultivating the Three Foundation Fist naturally far surpasses that of your Demonic Beast. Our chances of becoming a Saint are also vastly greater than yours. As for your Demonic Beast, without a Supreme Bone, those who can even cultivate the Foundation Building Fist are few and far between. Out of a hundred thousand, one might not even be found. And even if this single individual cultivates to the eighth transformation, they might not necessarily obtain a path suited for themselves from the Saint Canon.

”As for the subsequent ninth transformation, Three Limit Breaking Steps and the Half Saint realm, those are even more difficult. But with the Supreme Bone, these various obstacles are naturally resolved easily. You are a rising race, so there is no need to be impatient about these things. Just slowly lay the groundwork and build your foundation.”

Hearing that, Pu Xun felt both envious of the Human Race’s current situation and anxious about the Demonic Beast’s predicament. For the Demonic Beast, they still had a long way to go. At the very least, his generation would likely have no chance of witnessing the day a Saint emerged from the Demonic Beast.

So that’s how it is...

Fang Chen felt enlightened, finally uncovering the origin of the nine traverse bones. During the Nine Realms era, the Human Race had no Saints, so they didn’t have any Supreme Bones.

Could it be that because the Nine Great Saints perished, the Human Race lost their Supreme Bones?

Before Fang Chen could speak and inquire, Pu Xun asked ahead of him, ”Lord, if our Demonic Beast Race produces a Saint in the future, will the additional Supreme Bone granted to the entire race disappear along with the death of this Saint?”

Fang Ding said, ”Naturally not. Otherwise, why are some Saint Races terrifyingly strong, with a depth of heritage that defies imagination? It is precisely because they have traversed countless eras, during which an endless number of geniuses and Saints emerged. The number of their Supreme Bones is incredibly massive, which also results in their talent being utterly unfathomable.”

Pu Xun instantly breathed a sigh of relief. That was good. He was deeply afraid that after the Demonic Beast Race managed to produce a Saint after untold hardship, the Demonic Beasts would return to square one on upon the Saint’s death.

Fang Chen’s heart sank. If the Supreme Bones do not disappear with the fall of a Saint, then why...

It was highly likely that Fang Ding’s cultivation level was not high enough, so there were still some matters he did not understand clearly. At the very least, he could determine that the Human Race of the Nine Realms era no longer possessed any Supreme Bones. The path for humans wasn’t completely severed because of the absence of Supreme Bones, but trying to find people capable of cultivating the Foundation Fist would not be easy, according to Fang Ding. Even if they did find them, they would later encounter difficulties at the eighth transformation realm due to the absence of a Supreme Bone, potentially leaving them unable to cultivate the methods of the Saint Canon at all.

”Therefore, for the current Human Race of the Nine Realms, a simpler and easier path... would be to let all eighth transformation personally browse through the Saint Canon, and perhaps an expert could emerge who can use this path to carry on.”

It’s just that the Saint Canon cannot be brought over there at all... Then they can still only walk the path of the Foundation Fist. Perhaps Ancestor Lie can be popularized among mortals.

”However, nothing is absolute, ”said Fang Ding. ”The Supreme Bones are by no means eternally indestructible either. If the number of Saints stayed lower than the number of Supreme Bones for a very long time, the number of Supreme Bones would decrease. Before our Human Race reached this point, Saints had also fallen, and it was precisely due to this situation that we lost quite a few Supreme Bones as well.”

Fang Chen’s expression turned slightly strange. Didn’t that mean that there was still a very high probability that the Human Race of the Nine Realms era ultimately degenerated and lost their nine Supreme Bones precisely because they continuously lacked a Saint?

Pu Xun once again revealed a look of worry. That was certainly not good news.

Fang Ding asked with a faint smile, ”Pu Xun, in a bit more time, our family’s Half Saint Fang will attain sainthood in this place. Will you stay behind to observe?”

Pu Xun was pleasantly surprised and immediately cupped his hands in salutation. ”Many thanks, Lord!”

A large part of the reason he was able to rush to Zanglong City during this timeframe was precisely that Half Saint Fang was to ascend to the Saint seat in a few years. When that time came, the Demonic Beast Race would gain a powerful ally. The Demonic Beast Race would then be able to survive in the cracks between the Human Race and the Flame Race.

Pu Xun quietly clenched his fists. One day, the Demonic Beast will have its own Saint and become a Saint Race within the Divine Realm, no longer subject to enslavement by others!

Leaving the Chaoxian Tower, the two of them returned to Xie Zhi.

Fang Chen was somewhat curious. ”Fang Ding, during these past few years, have the likes of the Wang Family and Shi Family been hiding inside their Inner Domain lands all this time?”

Fang Ding smiled. ”It should be so. Only in this way can they effectively evade the pursuit of the Luoxue Alliance. Saint Luoxue has been absolutely furious in recent years.”

Fang Chen asked, ”Then on the day Ancestor Lie attains sainthood, will they show themselves?”

”They likely will. These Half Saint clans are the pillars of our Fang family. With them around, as long as Ancestor Lie becomes a Saint, we can instantly rank among the top ten Saints, and we won’t be weaker than the likes of the Luoxue Alliance,” said Fang Ding.

Fang Chen nodded, then returned to his courtyard. After considering for a moment, he chose not to consume the Primal Beginning Origin Milk. He was afraid that his advancement process might take too long, causing him to miss the day that Ancestor Lie attained sainthood.

”If the number of Saints represents the number of Supreme Bones, the Saints of the Human Race will most likely not stop Ancestor Lie from attaining sainthood. However, there is a prerequisite factor in this. Ancestor Lie must not pose a threat to them. As for the Luoxue Alliance, it might step in to stop it because of the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower. Whether they will contact other Saints to exert pressure together remains uncertain.

Thinking up to that point, Fang Chen suddenly smiled and stopped pondering over these matters.

Such things were naturally for Ancestor Lie to consider. On the day of becoming a Saint, he would know what kind of spectacle it would turn out to be. All he could do, just like everyone else, was to watch this grand ceremony.

As the days passed, Fang Chen gradually became well-acquainted with many members of the Fang clan. These clan members discovered that this ancestor, whose bloodline purity was extremely high, was quite easy to talk to. When they met him on ordinary days, they showed a bit less constraint and a touch more warmth.

On that day, Fang Chen happened to pass by the Saint Tower and noticed quite a few Fang clan members standing there.

Some clan members spotted Fang Chen and greeted him with a smile. ”Ancestor Chen, are you out for a stroll?”

Fang Chen smiled. ”Yes. Why is it so lively over here?”

A clan member pointed toward a place not far away. ”That’s because Fang Han was eliminated by the Holy Tower.”

Fang Chen looked over and saw a youth surrounded by a group of young clan members, who were chattering and saying something to him. The youth’s aura was quite impressive. He had already reached the sixth transformation.

One clan member said with a face full of envy, ”Although Fang Han was eliminated this time, he also reaped a rich harvest in the Saint Tower and advanced to the sixth transformation. I’m afraid it won’t be long before he can be like Uncle Fang Ding and the others, ranking among the ninth transformation realm.”

A clan member who was also at sixth transformation was equally very envious.

In the void, a Xie Zhi Door slowly opened. Before the person even showed his face, a burst of loud laughter rang out first. ”Hahaha, Fang Han, I heard you were eliminated by the Saint Tower? Come, let me see what your cultivation level is like now!”

And then, a wheelchair slowly emerged from the door....
