Immortal of the Nine Realms

The entire family gathered around the table, making the meal a lively one. Although many were still missing, for Fang Xiaotian and Fang Xiaohua, this scene was something they had dreamed of countless times.

A faint smile played on Fang Chen’s lips, but inwardly, he felt a flicker of worry. After his parents became Yang Gods, they shared the consequences of the ”Forbidden Art Technique” backlash with the rest of the Yang Gods. However, their side effects seemed significantly more severe.

He suspected this was linked to their cultivation levels. Perhaps one day, if they reached the peak among the Yang Gods, the symptoms of their memory loss and sudden disappearances might lessen.

During the meal, Fang Chen’s mother kept asking his younger siblings about their lives after they left. Upon learning that they had encountered Fang Chen at such a young age, the parents breathed a sigh of relief.

”Your elder brother would never let you suffer. Life got easier after that, didn’t it?” said their mother with a smile.

Fang Xiaotian nodded. ”After meeting Big Brother, everything changed for the better. We had many masters guiding our cultivation, and because of them, Xiaohua and I never faced any real danger.”

Their mother beamed. ”That’s good, that’s good.”

”Mother, where are my other brothers and sisters right now? Tell me where they are, and I’ll bring them back when I have time,” interjected Fang Chen.

He knew if he didn’t ask now, they might lose their memories again, and the information would be lost.

Unexpectedly, confusion clouded their eyes. They seemed to have forgotten entirely.

”We... had other children?” asked Fang Canghai carefully.

”Before Xiaotian and Xiaohua, you already had several. Technically, they are their older siblings,” said Fang Chen helplessly.

”I can’t remember... I wonder how they are doing right now,” mumbled Fang Canghai.

”Forget it. If Big Brother can’t remember, just tell me when the memories come back. I’ll pass it on to Little Chen next time he visits,” suggested Fang Cangyue.

”I suppose that’s all we can do...”

The next ten days or so were likely the happiest moments for the siblings. Their parents remembered them and stayed by their side. Even simple, everyday meals tasted like delicacies. Occasionally, the family went out for spring outings, traveling through the southern lands to enjoy the scenery.

Fang Chen’s mother would often reminisce about his and Fang Zhixue’s childhoods.

”Mother, Big Brother is getting on in years. Why hasn’t he found us a sister-in-law yet?” asked Fang Xiaotian on a whim during one of their outings.

Mother Fang turned to Fang Chen and interrogated, ”What about Little Yu? You should have married her by now. Back then, even though she exposed herself to the outside world, she was only doing it to handle your affairs. It wasn’t as if she truly fell into a life of decadence. You wouldn’t look down on her for that, would you?”

”Mother, don’t you remember? Little Yu ran into some trouble. Once she’s better, I’ll bring her into the family,” assured Fang Chen with a smile.

Mother Fang nodded happily. ”Good. Bring her to see me once she’s recovered.”

Fang Xiaohua was incredibly curious and started asking about Little Yu. Fang Chen shared some stories like casual gossip. When the two learned that before Fang Chen even began his cultivation, he had already made a massive name for himself in Grand Xia and established the Grand Xia Hidden Guards, their hearts filled with admiration.

”What a pity. If Little Sis and I were born back then, we definitely would have helped Big Brother,” lamented Fang Xiaotian, wishing he were born earlier.

Fang Chen laughed. ”There’s still plenty of time. If you want to help me, there’s a lot you can do. It’s just that your cultivation isn’t high enough yet. For now, focus on your training. Ideally, you’ll both become core disciplesof the Enlightenment God Palace.”

The siblings’ eyes lit up as they exchanged a look.

Core disciples of the Enlightenment God Palace!

Ever since seeing the Black Dragon Formation, they realised how vast the world was. They secretly vowed to work hard and reach that status.

A few days later, just as they were about to have lunch, Fang Canghai and his wife vanished without a trace. Only a table full of food remained. The group understood immediately what had happened.

It seems Mother and Father are truly busy. I hope one day I can help them, Xiaotian thought to himself.

He could sense that something mysterious was going on, but he didn’t ask. He knew that when the time was right, his Big Brother would tell them.

”Aunt, do you want to come with us to see Little Sis?” invited Fang Chen.

Fang Cangyue smiled. ”I haven’t seen that girl in years. I’ll go with you.”

After finishing the meal, Fang Chen put the siblings into his World Gourd and entered the Yellow Springs with Fang Cangyue. They left the dishes on the table uncleaned.

Not long after, someone discovered the doors were open. Seeing the used dishes, they quickly called over the oldest and most powerful elder in the realm.

”The Master and Madam were back. They are letting us know they are still around so we can rest easy,” noted the elder with a look of sentimental sighing as he happily began clearing the table.

The news sent a surge of morale through the entire Fang Manor.

The Black Dragon Boat cruised through Qingming. Back then, it had taken the Old Flood Dragon a full year of frantic flying to reach Nanqing Constellation. Starting from a transit planet, Fang Chen arrived in less than half a month.

The Black Dragon Boat’s speed was genuinely terrifying. If they encountered a fifth-transformation or sixth-transformation Immortal in the Qingming, the opponent might not even be able to catch them if the boat didn’t have its Immortal Boat Formation active.

Looking at the Seven Colored Star River ahead and the Giant Puppets responsible for border inspections, Fang Cangyue and the others were struck with awe.

”The first time I came here, I ran into some trouble,” reminisced Fang Chen.

He vaguely remembered arriving here and seeing a fourth-transformation Immortal named Ma Ji chasing Lin Bao. Lin Bao had used the old flood dragon’s Immortal Boat as a shield. Eventually, both were dragged away by the Giant Puppets and thrown into solitary confinement.

When the Black Dragon Boat wasn’t showing off its power, it looked no different from any other Immortal Boat. It joined the queue for border entry.

Just as it was almost their turn, an Immortal Boat suddenly broke through the sky.

Ma Ji stood at the bow with his hands behind his back and nodded to Fang Chen from a distance. ”Fellow Daoist, let us pass first. We have urgent business.”

Fang Chen glanced behind him. About a hundred Immortal Boats were waiting for their turn, and it would only take a few days. He smiled and said, ”Queue up behind.”

Ma Ji was stunned for a moment, then his expression darkened. He immediately steered his boat to cut in front of Fang Chen.

”Like I’d indulge you,” muttered Fang Chen, his face cold.

The Black Dragon Boat suddenly erupted with a brilliant divine light and rammed straight ahead.
