Gathering Wives with a System

Chapter 374: Second God Quest, Plan To Complete The Conqueror Trial

”She sent that video to other human cities too. Now everyone is in upheaval. The strength you’ve shown is something they can witness only in the Mourning Frost Mountains, and even then, it is shown by those that come from legendary awakeners there. Everyone is now clamoring around, wondering what to do.”

Isaac thought about her words.

”So... they are either going to try to become my enemy, if they think I will want their cities, or my ally?” Isaac asked.

”Only ally. When someone is too strong, no one would want to become their opponent. The Governor of Fortified City 82 is coming to meet you by the evening. From what he sent, he wants to become your subordinate.”

Isaac nodded.

There were all sorts of people.

The Governor whom Isaac crushed, and Overlord Aurora of Fortified City 22, were greedy and ambitious. They wanted to rule and did not want to lose their authority.

But not everyone was like them.

The Governor of Fortified City 82, someone Isaac saw at the Calloway Estate’s party long ago, was someone who had noticed Isaac’s strength and wanted protection under him.

As for the governor of the last human city, Fortified City 62, they were too far, and communication to that location would take time.

”You are not panicking. I thought you would be shocked like always,” Catherine said.

”Because this is nothing to panic about,” Isaac said. ”One, I’m already a Lord, so I’m going to do my best for my city. Allying with other human cities would allow me to borrow their manpower. We can build our city faster with that. Additionally, this will help with my God Domain. Celia is famous in all human cities, but her fame is largely limited to here. If all human cities praise my battle prowess or crops more, they will become a higher-ranked Domain for me.”

Catherine shook her head with a chuckle.

Just as she had expected, Isaac was only worried about becoming a God of NTR or Lust.

He was not fazed or embarrassed by the praises he was receiving online. In fact, he was basking in them.

A dark, malicious smile appeared on Isaac’s face.

”Why are you smiling?” Catherine asked.

”Since most of Celia’s obsessed fans are in this city, it means all people who could associate me with NTR have already done so. So, after my domain of War, Battle, or Farmer becomes higher-ranked than the domain of NTR or Lust, it means more people see me as War, Battle, or Farmer, and... that means I can bully her fans without worrying about gaining the domain of NTR again.”

These bastards dared associate him with NTR when he was just living normally?

Now, Isaac would show what it meant to be NTR’d.

He would post pictures with their idol daily!

Catherine shook her head, exasperated with his childish revenge.

Soon, Isaac made a grunt and released everything.

Catherine, who was kneeling before him, swallowed everything and began to lick his shaft clean.

”It tastes good. This must be the ability of the Sinbound Physique,” she said, her breath hitting his shaft.

After cleaning, Catherine stood up and disappeared.

Then she, the one across the table, spoke with a solemn voice, ”Do you know why I sucked you off?”

”Because you wanted to tease me?”

”Yes, but there is a reason. Your libido is right now too strong. You have my, Celia’s, and Alice’s bloodlines. The only reason you are somewhat sane is because Emily’s bloodline gives you a Monarch’s disposition, which makes you want to keep your pride. But at this moment, it wouldn’t be surprising for you to become a sex-crazed beast. You spoke to Emily about becoming addicted to your saliva, but you are already addicted to sex.”

”...what?” Isaac asked, stunned.

But the more he thought about it, the more she was correct.

Currently, he was okay because of Emily’s bloodline that gave him a Monarch-like disposition, and Alice’s emotion-calming technique.

However, it was true that Isaac had bloodlines that made him a lustful person.

Now that he had three of those bloodlines, he was becoming an addict.

”...how is this related to you sucking me off?”

”You refused to do it with Emily in the morning.”

”Wait, how do you know about that—”

”Do it at least once in the morning and before you sleep at night. If you don’t release the heat building within your body periodically, it will explode, and you might end up attacking any woman next to you. I’ve read stories of my race, and this is true.”

”So you are saying I need to learn how to indulge in pleasure without drowning in it?”

”Yes. Good boy, you understood it correctly.”

Catherine appeared behind him, ruffling his head, proud of his answer.

Of course, one was still sitting across from him at the table.

After talking to her, Isaac finally focused on his System screen.

[Second Quest has been given]

[Quest: Godhood Does Not Belong to the Silent]

[Details: Create three churches within your name. Faith must flow within each church.]

[Reward: ???]

Isaac looked at the quest.

Then, he put it out of his mind.

He had to correct his domains and build churches now.

As Isaac was looking through the system screen, a thought occurred to him.

”Professor.”

”Yes?” She raised her head from the documents.

”Is there a way I can refine the physiques of Alice, Emily, and Celia instead of mine? As you know, my ability allows me to share all your progress. So it would be better if I can refine their physiques instead of mine.”

”A way to reverse the target of physique refinement...”

Catherine thought about it.

”It is possible, theoretically. In the past, several races captured Celestial Kitsune, built devices that could reverse physique refinement, and then used the Celestial Kitsune to get stronger. If we can find a ruin of one of those races, we can find the relic that can be used to reverse the physique refinement,” she said.

Isaac was stunned.

He realized it wasn’t just a genetic disorder that led to the death of Celestial Kitsune.

They must’ve been hunted all over the world.

’If the race has gone extinct, and Professor is here with a Celestial Kitsune bloodline, doesn’t it mean she is a descendant of one of the captured Celestial Kitsune?’

His gaze hardened.

’If people find out about her ability, wouldn’t they try to capture her?’

His jaw tightened and he spoke, ”Sister.”

Catherine flinched.

Isaac rarely called her sister.

Heat crept up to her cheeks upon hearing that word of endearment, but she hid it and looked at him.

She noticed he was looking at her with serious eyes.

”I will protect you. Last time, I failed, but this time I won’t. Whatever happens, I will be your shield and sword.”

Catherine smiled, realizing why he said those words.

”Thank you, but it’s the duty of the older sibling to protect their younger siblings. So don’t push yourself too hard. It’s me who will be protecting us both.”

Isaac chewed his lips.

He understood she was saying this because he had ”died” in front of her once.

’I need to be strong.’

’Strong enough that she will feel safe with me.’

Isaac didn’t say those words, but he vowed them to himself.

Catherine, realizing the atmosphere had become too serious, deflected gently.

”This reminds me, did you use the Weapon Ticket you got?” she asked.

”You know about that?”

”Yes, it’s what every Conqueror Candidate can get when they defeat a Catastrophe for the first time.”

She smiled and added,

”Since you accepted you have a ticket, it means you were able to share Alice’s or mine’s Conqueror Candidate title and become one yourself.”

Isaac smiled wryly, realizing Catherine had tricked him into revealing the truth while he was not thinking clearly due to being emotional.

She continued, ”Alice and you must’ve gotten one ticket each, and all three of us can attempt the Conqueror Trial now.”

”How does this reward system work?”

”Up to three Conqueror Candidates can get rewards if they are fighting in a team against a Catastrophe. I defeated one long ago. Well, it was mostly Mother; I was just in her party. So I got a Conqueror Trial and a Weapon Ticket back then.”

Her face darkened momentarily.

”Though I failed the Conqueror Trial. I will be honest. I did not want to become a Conqueror, just to make Mother’s hard work useless, but I tried everything to succeed in the Trial, and I failed. Even my weapon...”

She shook her head.

”It was destroyed during the battle back then.”

There was a longing in her gaze, as if she missed her weapon.

”So should we train for the trial?” Isaac asked.

”Yes. However, the higher our levels are, the harder the trial will be. So we should attempt it before leveling up.”

Isaac’s eyes flashed. ”Is... this why you haven’t tried to become an Overlord yet? You wanted to try the Conqueror Trial again?”

”Yes,” she nodded.

”Let’s try the trial once before we go to meet the Florathi again,” Isaac suddenly said.

”No, that will be too early. We need to train and—”

”Did you forget my ability?”

Isaac grinned.

”I can share. Even the trial tickets. So even if we fail once, we can attempt again.”

Catherine stopped speaking.

She was looking at him calmly, but he could see the surprise hidden in her eyes.

”That’s... is there no limit to your ability?”

”I wonder,” Isaac said with a smile.

She had said those words to Isaac when she was giving him a head, and he asked when she had gotten so good. She realized he was now repeating them as revenge.

Smiling, she shook her head.

”Since you have free time now, use the Weapon Ticket,” she told him.
