Gathering Wives with a System

Chapter 317: Impatient Devil

”We’ve already gathered all eight hundred Storm-Forged Alloy for the city’s Sky Dome. And with this pace, we’ll have enough materials for the other buildings too,” Selene said, pleased with herself.

Isaac nodded.

The plan to gather all the necessary materials for the city was finally coming together.

He made another round trip that day, carrying a new batch of harvest crops.

Peas, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, cabbage, garlic, pea pods, Azure Root, Fireleaf Spinach, Mallow Bulb, Whiteshade Radish, Goldvine Peas, and Nightcap Tomatoes.

All were fresh and perfectly grown.

When the shipments arrived at the market, the sales quite literally shot through the roof.

Traders from nearby cities rushed to buy them, amazed at the quality and flavor.

Isaac waited for the Overlord of Fortified City 22 to show up, hoping to discuss expanding taxes and other important matters.

But instead of her arrival, he received a short letter.

The letter explained that her health had deteriorated and she couldn’t meet him in person.

She apologized for the inconvenience.

Isaac read the letter twice and frowned.

She didn’t even send a spokesperson. That said a lot.

He could tell she didn’t like the trade he was doing.

And she had a good reason.

If things continued as they were, Isaac’s city would soon take over her markets.

The traders of City 22 would start coming to his city, and buy from him, and her tax income would shrink.

Still, she couldn’t openly oppose him.

Isaac had gathered powerful forces under his command, monstrous ones by human standards. And Fortified City 22 had been weakened after recent conflicts.

Even if those two reasons weren’t enough to hold her back, the fact that the Florathi had some kind of friendly relationship with Isaac was.

The Overlord wouldn’t risk offending both sides.

After finishing his review of reports, Isaac finally called Althea through the contact she’d given him.

Althea arrived the next evening, accompanied by her bodyguard, whose name Isaac found out to be Charlotte.

The two followed Isaac and his convoy to Fortified City 50.

By the time they arrived, the sun had already set, painting the city lights in shades of amber and gold.

Isaac made arrangements for them to stay within the city’s guest sector.

Fortified City 50 was far more comfortable for visitors than Fortified City 89.

His home in Fortified City 89 wasn’t small, but it wasn’t suitable for hosting royal guests. Especially not someone like the Florathi princess.

As he stood outside the guest building, Isaac thought about his own dwelling.

He realized that as a Lord, he would need a proper estate soon.

Something large enough for meetings, guests, and family.

Still, a part of him hesitated.

That small house in Fortified City 89 carried too many memories.

It was where he had spent quiet nights, shared meals, and lived through his most intimate moments with his wives.

He didn’t want to give that up.

’Maybe I’ll have my house renovated instead of moving somewhere else,’ he thought, pushing the idea aside for now.

After ensuring Althea and Charlotta were settled, Isaac returned to Fortified City 89.

By the time he arrived, the night was calm, and a cool wind carried the scent of freshly grown crops.

Given their current pace of material gathering and production, construction could begin as early as tomorrow.

Until morning, Isaac had time to rest.

When he reached home, he walked straight to his fields. The glow of the glowing tower in the horizon reflected off the leaves as he harvested and replanted.

”Since I’m now growing my crops faster, I need to be close to them whenever they mature, which is almost every other hour,” he muttered, wiping his forehead. ”But that’s not really possible. I have to keep moving around as a Lord.”

He sighed and smiled faintly.

”I wish I had a clone like Professor Catherine.”

Speaking of her, her evolution should be completing in a few hours.

He stepped towards his house.

But before he could even open he door, something flew straight at him.

”Isaac!”

Celia crashed into him, her arms wrapping tightly around his torso from behind. His solid frame stopped her completely.

”I missed you!” she said, her voice soft but full of emotion.

Isaac chuckled and turned slightly to look at her.

Celia had that same charming, innocent smile she always did.

But then he noticed the small detail. The tail gently curling around his inner thigh.

The gesture was clearly intimate, but Celia didn’t seem to notice.

Her cheeks were pink, and her eyes were bright, unaware of what her tail was doing.

Isaac smiled wryly.

It seemed she was reaching her limit in patience.

Before he could say anything, he heard the sound of an engine approaching outside. Moments later, a jeep pulled up.

Alice, Leora, and Emily stepped out, each of them looking tired but content.

Isaac greeted them with a warm smile. ”Welcome back. How was your day?”

”We fought a lot of monsters,” Emily said with a yawn. ”But we should be able to clear the Sector 2 tomorrow and finish the Quest.”

Alice nodded. ”We have barricaded the Sector 2, so new monsters can’t enter it.”

Isaac nodded, relieved. ”Good. You all did well.”

”Alright,” Celia said suddenly. ”Now we should sleep. It’s already late, and we need to get up early tomorrow. That’s when the real work starts.”

Before anyone could respond, she grabbed Isaac’s wrist and started walking toward the stairs.

Emily smile lightly, seeing the scene.

Alice.... didn’t give a death glare, which was a good sign.

Leora just gave a small shake of her head.

”Celia,” he said, stopping her.

She turned around, confused. ”What?”

”Let’s have dinner first.”

For a moment, she just blinked at him.

Then her face turned red, realization dawning.

She had completely forgotten they hadn’t eaten yet.

”See, even Celia forgets food when she’s excited.” Emily joked.

”Hey!” Celia pouted but couldn’t hide her embarrassment.

They all gathered around the dining table.

Alice and Emily prepared the food, filling the air with a warm aroma of grilled vegetables, herbs, and roasted meat.

Isaac grumbled a bit when they didn’t let him with cooking.

He was made to sit at table instead.

Throughout dinner, Celia kept sneaking glances at him.

Every time he looked back, she quickly looked away, pretending to focus on her food.

Leora noticed and sighed softly.

Dinner went on with simple conversation, light teasing, and the quiet comfort of being home together.

When they were done, Emily helped Alice clean up while Leora took care of some notes for the next day’s plans.

Celia, however, was already standing near the stairs again, her eyes fixed on Isaac.

He noticed the faint blush on her cheeks and the way her tail swayed behind her, moving with a rhythm that spoke of her impatience.

Isaac stood and walked toward her.

Celia looked up at him, biting her lip slightly. ”Are you... coming?”

Her voice was quiet, almost a whisper.

Isaac smiled. ”Yeah.”

She reached out, her fingers brushing against his hand before she gently took it in hers. Her touch was warm, almost trembling.

The two of them climbed the stairs together, the faint sound of footsteps echoing softly through the quiet house.

When they reached the top, Celia paused by the door to their room. She turned toward him, her eyes reflecting the dim light from the hallway.

Isaac could feel the warmth radiating from her.

It wasn’t just physical. It was something deeper, something that made the space between them feel alive.

She hesitated, then leaned closer, her voice barely above a breath. ”I really did miss you.”

Isaac’s hand brushed against her cheek, his thumb tracing the faint curve of her jaw. ”I know.”

Celia’s tail coiled lightly around his leg again, and this time, she didn’t pull away. Her heartbeat quickened, but she didn’t break eye contact.

Isaac smiled softly and opened the door.

They stepped inside together.

The door clicked shut behind him as he turned the lock.

She spun around to face him, closing the distance in one smooth step.

The air between them heated as she rose onto her toes, and pressed her lips to his.

Her movements soft yet urgent, drawing him into the kiss like a current he couldn’t fight.

Their mouths moved together.

He wrapped an arm around her waist, feeling the heat of her body through her thin shirt, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them.

She tasted like sweet wine and something darker, a hint of smoke that lingered on his tongue.

His free hand cupped the back of her neck, fingers threading into her hair as the kiss deepened.

It took him a moment to recall Celia’s saliva had the effect of aphrodisiac. And now his had too.

But it was too late.

Isaac was already holding the back of her head tightly.

They broke apart for a breath, both of them panting lightly.

Celia looked up at him with a cheeky grin.

”Hehe, I have been waiting for this.”

Her eyes sparkling with mischief, taking in how flushed his face had become.

She was enjoying, seeing him lost his control.

He wasn’t the only one affected, though.

She clung to him tightly. Her chest rose and fell quickly.

Her skin was warm against his, and her eyes looked as if she held only him within her world.

Lust seemed to pour from her, thick and inviting, wrapping around him like a warm fog.

Without a word, he scooped her up, her legs wrapping around his waist as he carried her to the bed.

He laid her down gently.

The mattress dipped under her weight, then he climbed over her, bracing himself on his elbows.

Their lips met again, slower this time, savoring the pull between them.

He felt her fingers tug at the hem of his shirt, sliding the fabric up his sides.

She pulled it over his head, breaking the kiss just long enough to toss it aside.

Her hands returned to his skin, tracing the lines of his chest, before her mouth claimed his once more, fierce and demanding.

He shifted his weight, easing her further back onto the pillows.

His lips trailed from hers, brushing along her jaw in soft presses, then down to the curve of her throat where her pulse fluttered wildly.

She tilted her head back, giving him more access, a soft moan escaping her.

His own breath came uneven, the scent of her skin—jasmine mixed with that faint, otherworldly spice—filling his senses.

Her hand slid lower, over the planes of his chest, pausing at the waistband of his pants.

He felt the gentle pressure as she stroked him through the fabric, sending a jolt straight through him.

She worked his belt open with steady fingers, the metal buckle clinking softly.

Then she eased his zipper down. Her touch was careful, drawing him out into the open air.

He was already hard for her, aching with need.

She glanced up, her gaze locking with his, and ran her tongue over her lips in a slow, deliberate motion.

That look alone nearly undid him.

He leaned down, capturing her mouth again.

The kiss turned heated as their tongues danced. Pleasure bombarded their minds.

”Isaac...”

She moaned his name.

Her fingers wrapped around him, beginning a slow rhythm up and down.

She matched it with her tongue against his, swirling and teasing, pulling him deeper into the haze.

Pleasure built fast, crashing over his mind like waves, but he held on.

He wouldn’t let it end so soon, not when she felt this alive beneath him.

His hands wandered down her sides, finding the swell of her breasts under her shirt.

He cupped them gently, feeling their softness yield to his touch. They were the perfect size and they felt warm in his palms.

He wanted to explore every inch, to draw this out, but her kisses pressed back with equal fire.

And that steady stroke of her hand grew smoother, and more experienced as if she was a talented disciple mastering her craft at astonishing speed.

It made his resolve fray.

His length throbbed under her grip, fully rigid now.

He pulled back from the kiss, just enough to meet her eyes, and she let out a small whimper, chasing his lips.

”I can’t hold back,” he murmured, his voice rough with the effort.

She nodded quickly. Her breath hitched, eyes dark with the same urgency.

He removed her clothes, and nudged her legs apart with his knee, settling between them.

There she was, open and ready, her warmth glistening even without his touch.

She watched him, anticipation clear in the way her chest rose. ”Give it to me, Isaac.”

He licked his lips, hands resting on her inner thighs, thumbs brushing lightly over her skin.

The slickness there surprised him, a testament to how much she wanted this.

He positioned himself, his tip resting against her entrance, feeling the heat radiate from her.

She reached down, her fingers guiding him, lining him up with care.

He held her gaze, searching for any sign of hesitation, then pushed forward slowly, inch by inch, until he filled her completely.

Despite all his experience, the sensation nearly made him release everything.

She was tight, and welcoming, like velvet pulling him in.

He clenched his jaw, breathing deep to steady himself.

”Are you okay?” he asked, voice low and concerned, pausing to let her adjust.

She bit her lip, nodding, a small smile breaking through.

”I—It’s a bit big,” she said softly, her words breathy but honest. ”But I like it. Feels... full.”

He exhaled, relieved, and brushed a strand of hair from her face.

”Tell me if it hurts.”

She shook her head, her hands sliding up his arms. ”No, keep going. I never thought it’d feel like this, being so close, so connected.”

Her words hung between them, stirring something deeper in him.

He started moving then, a gentle rock of his hips, savoring the way she gripped him from within.

She pulled him down.

Her arms wrapped around his neck, and kissed him deeply.

He matched her rhythm, thrusting slow and steady. Their moans mingled into the kiss.

This is too much. Herwhole bodyis like an aphrodisiac. I feel like I’ll cum if I relax even for a second, he thought.

The intensity was building within like a storm inside, begging to be released.

But he kept going, holding on.

He couldn’t chase his own comfort only with her responding so eagerly.

As he slid in and out, he felt her hips lift to meet him.

Her body arching in waves beneath his. It was intoxicating.

The way she moved with him drew him further.

He gripped her waist, holding her steady as he drove deeper.

”Yes, yes, yes,” she moaned, her voice breaking, eyes fluttering shut.

He kept the pace, pushing as far as he could, lost in the rhythm.

”More, more, more,” she whispered, her plea turning into a beg, nails lightly scraping his back.

He gave in, unable to deny her, not when she felt this incredible around him.

The room seemed to narrow to just them. The air was thick with their shared breaths.

Her legs hooked around his hips, pulling him closer with each thrust.

He leaned down, kissing her neck again, tasting the salt on her skin.

”You’re driving me crazy,” he said against her ear, his words tumbling out between gasps.

She laughed softly, a sound that turned into another moan as he angled just right.

”Good,” she replied, her voice husky. ”I want you like this. Lost in it with me.”

He lifted his head, meeting her eyes, and saw the flicker there.

Something ancient and hungry, yet so human in its need.

It pulled at him, that blend of her worlds, making every sensation sharper.

His hands roamed up her sides, pushing her shirt higher to expose more skin. He traced the curve of her ribs, then back to her breasts, thumbs circling gently.

She arched into his touch, whispering his name like a secret.

”Isaac... don’t stop.”

He wouldn’t.

The way she clenched around him with each word urged him on.

He shifted slightly, finding a deeper angle, and her breath caught sharply.

”Yes, like that,” she said, her hands clutching his shoulders.

He thrust again, slower this time, drawing out the slide to feel every bit of her.

Sweat beaded on his forehead, dripping down as the heat between them built.

She wiped it away with her thumb. Her touch was tender amid the fire.

He kissed her palm, then her wrist, before returning to her mouth.

Their tongues met lazily now. The urgency from before was tempered by their current closeness.

But it didn’t last.

Her hips bucked up, demanding more, and he answered with a firmer push.

”You feel so good,” he muttered, breaking the kiss to catch his breath.

She nodded, eyes half-lidded. ”You too. I could stay like this forever.”

The thought sent a thrill through him.

He rolled his hips experimentally, and she gasped, her body trembling. ”Right there. Keep doing that.”

He did, settling into the motion, his grip on her waist tightening.

Her moans grew louder, unrestrained, filling the room like music.

He buried his face in her shoulder, inhaling her scent, letting it ground him.

Yet even that couldn’t dull the pull, the way pleasure coiled tighter in his gut.

”You’re amazing,” he said, lifting to look at her.

Her cheeks were flushed, hair splayed across the pillow, and she smiled up at him, genuine and soft.

”So are you,” she replied, reaching up to cup his face. ”Makes me want to try everything with you.”

Her words sparked ideas, but he pushed them aside for now.

This moment was enough. Her warmth enveloping him, their bodies syncing in perfect rhythm.

He quickened slightly, testing, and she matched him, her legs squeezing his sides.

”Yes,” she breathed. ”Just like that.”

The friction built, exquisite and unrelenting.

He felt her nails dig in lightly, a sweet sting that only heightened it all.

He trailed kisses down her collarbone, nipping gently at the skin.

She shivered, whispering encouragements that made his blood run hotter.

”Don’t hold back,” she said, echoing his earlier words. ”I can take it.”

Her eyes rolled back, a low cry escaping her lips.

”More,” she urged again, voice raw with want.

He obliged, the pace turning insistent. The bed creaked faintly under them, a quiet counterpoint to their sounds.

Sweat slicked their skin, making every slide smoother, more intense.

He braced one arm beside her head, the other still on her hip, guiding them both.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him into another kiss.

It was messy now. The kiss was all teeth and gasps, but it perfect in its honesty.

”I’m close,” he admitted, voice strained. She nodded, her own breaths coming in short bursts.

”Me too. Don’t stop. Please!”

He wouldn’t dream of it. His hand slipped between them, fingers finding that sensitive spot, circling gently to push her further.

She arched sharply, crying out his name. ”Isaac!”

The sound undid something in him.

He thrust harder, chasing that peak together while their bodies were locked in urgent harmony.

Pleasure crested, wave after wave, pulling him under.

She followed seconds later, trembling around him, her release milking his own.

He collapsed gently onto her, both of them spent and shaking.

She held him close, fingers stroking his back in lazy patterns.

”That was...” he started, the words catching in his throat as he searched for the right ones. ”Amazing.”

She chuckled softly, pressing a kiss to his temple.

”Yeah. It was,” she finished for him, her voice light and satisfied, wrapping the moment in easy agreement.

They lay there, tangled and warm, the afterglow settling over them like a soft blanket.

Her body fit against his perfectly, her heartbeat slowing to match the rhythm of his own.

”I can’t believe you wait me for so long for this,” she said, with a faint pout. ”You need to compensate me for everything we’ve missed.”

Her hand slid down his side with a gentle touch.

He felt her fingers wrap around him again, stroking slowly, and he was still hard, the spark reigniting without effort.

He chuckled, his eyes closing as the sensation pulled him back in.

It felt like drifting into a dream, the pleasure wrapping around his thoughts, making everything else fade.

Isaac smiled wryly. He had a feeling he wasn’t going to get much sleep tonight.
