The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1786: Chapter 734: Confession (Part 2)

So he was willing to give Hua Suisui another chance to choose again.

But that day at the manor, he thought Hua Suisui had already given him an answer.

Seeing Hua Suisui again now, Zhou Wang didn’t know what to say... because everything he wanted to say, he had already said that day.

Walking beside Zhou Wang, Hua Suisui, wearing high heels, found it difficult to walk steadily in the sand and remained silent.

She had too much she wanted to say, and instead didn’t know where to start.

Moreover, she might also have sensed something from Zhou Wang’s silence, making it even harder to speak.

...

When Zhou Wang came back to his senses, he realized that unknowingly, they had moved far away from the slope with the greenbelt, with the roaring sound of the waves in his ears. The beach around them was dark, and only in the distance could he see a few scattered lights.

The ocean was within reach.

Zhou Wang glanced at Hua Suisui by his side, she was lifting her skirt hem, walking with difficulty.

”I’m sorry, we seem to have walked a bit too far... Let’s head back, where are you staying, may I walk you home?”

Zhou Wang stopped and said apologetically.

We walked a bit too far...

The speaker might be unintentional, but the listener took it to heart.

Hearing this, Hua Suisui’s heart trembled, unable to maintain her outward calm any longer. Seeing Zhou Wang already turning around, intending to walk back, she could no longer care about her composure, and hurriedly ran a few steps forward, trying to stop him.

”Wait... ah!”

Hua Suisui hurried her steps too much, and stumbled, falling onto the sand.

Zhou Wang stepped forward, intending to help her up, but Hua Suisui raised her hand, ”I’m fine, I can manage myself... really!”

Saying this, Hua Suisui quickly stood up, her originally straight black hair appeared a bit disheveled, she twisted her ankle, and it seemed her skirt had torn, although the light wasn’t good, he could see she was covered in sand, looking rather dirty—

At this moment, Hua Suisui looked extremely embarrassed.

But still, she managed to stand straight, refusing Zhou Wang’s attempt to help.

”Zhou Wang, I... I have something I want to say to you, can you give me a few minutes, really, just a few minutes.”

Zhou Wang’s outstretched hand paused in mid-air, shaking his head, he said, ”Suisui, why go through all this?”

”Yes, why indeed?”

Hua Suisui couldn’t hold back anymore, tears poured out, but she tried to keep her eyes wide open, afraid that if she blinked, Zhou Wang would suddenly vanish.

”You wouldn’t even need to ask me, I myself have been questioning this every day recently... or maybe even earlier, since I returned to Mountain City, I’ve been asking myself from time to time.”

”Zhou Wang, do you know how hard it is, giving up everything, maybe only waiting for an answer that deceives myself.”

”That day in Magic City, you offered me a chance to choose again, I admit, I was swayed.”

”An A Level contract on par with Lin Dantong’s, it was an opportunity I had only dreamed of, so I was at a loss, couldn’t say a word... Sure, I’m realistic, as a woman in her thirties, how can I not be realistic?”

”Then why did you still show up on Qin Island?”

Zhou Wang sighed, ”Just accept this gift, and return to your own life, wouldn’t that be better?”

Though they hadn’t discussed this topic, Zhou Wang instinctively felt her appearance on Qin Island was to find him.

”Because... I can’t sleep well, I’m not happy.”

Hua Suisui cried and laughed, ”I should have made that more materialistic choice, but maybe because I really like you, no, more than a little, I like you a lot, Zhou Wang, you’re the only man in recent years who’s truly moved me.”

”I do like money, but if the money isn’t from you, I don’t really want it either... I’m just so conflicted and tangled, maybe I’m crazy, but do you know how much I regretted that day in Magic City?”

”Regret what?”

Zhou Wang gazed silently at this girl who seemed to be falling apart yet shedding her disguise, completely different from the usual lively Hua Suisui, and subconsciously asked.

”Regret not responding to you at that time, regret not holding onto you, regret not pushing you down to tell you that bankruptcy or not, my choice hasn’t changed.”

Hua Suisui gradually approached Zhou Wang, her tearful eyes sparkling in the dim light like the brightest stars in the night sky.

”So I went to Sister Ran begging her, she was unwilling to tell me, so I kept on begging until she said you might be on Qin Island, and I just rushed over without thinking...”

Zhou Wang realized indeed.

He hadn’t publicized his whereabouts, but always there were things needing aid from those around him, so people like Xu Wenqian and Lin Ran knew he was on Qin Island.

”But I’m bankrupt now, have you considered that being with me, you might not get the material life you desire?”

Zhou Wang paused, and before Hua Suisui spoke, emphasized again, ”And I told you back then, you wouldn’t be my only girlfriend, even now... this answer might not change.”

”You’re... really excessive.”

Hua Suisui fell silent, and after some time, softly said, ”As for money, I do have some, and I believe in you, you’re only so young, I don’t think your life will truly fall apart; you still have such a big reputation online, making money shouldn’t be too hard—”

Zhou Wang could only admire Hua Suisui’s perceptiveness.

Indeed, even though he was ”bankrupt,” astute people could still see the latent capital he possessed.

A life once glorious doesn’t vanish without a trace.

”About the girlfriend issue you mentioned... I witnessed it that day in Magic City, and I know what kind of women my competitors are.”

Hua Suisui’s smile held a bit of bitterness, ”Saying that I don’t care might be false, but if I leave, I’m unwilling, I don’t know... Zhou Wang, maybe, just maybe?”

Whatever Hua Suisui didn’t say, Zhou Wang didn’t know how to respond either.

Hua Suisui then stepped closer, Zhou Wang could feel her warm breath.

”Maybe I’ll regret it later, but at least now, I can’t let go, I don’t want to draw a conclusion just by overthinking, I want you... I want to feel it myself before making that choice.”

In Hua Suisui’s bright eyes, there was hope and anxiety, she spoke tremblingly, ”So, you... would you accept me?”

”Zhou Wang, I want to be with you.”

Hearing this authentic Chuanyu dialect again, Zhou Wang was slightly dazed.

Just compared to last time, Hua Suisui now showed less playfulness, more sincerity.

In the end, Zhou Wang sighed in his heart, his gaze swept over Hua Suisui’s messy hair and the side of her face with some sand, he lifted his hand, brushing the dust off her smooth cheek.

”Then... let’s try it.”

Zhou Wang said with a smile.

Immense joy exploded from Hua Suisui’s heart, the desperate waiting and endeavors at this moment seemed justified, relieved Hua Suisui didn’t know how to express her excitement, she reached out wanting to tightly embrace Zhou Wang.

Zhou Wang was about to respond, but Hua Suisui’s movement suddenly halted.

”Wait, I think I’m a bit dirty...”

”It’s okay.”

”No, I can’t get you dirty too.”

Hua Suisui sniffled, then wiped her tears, gave Zhou Wang a charming look, ”I can just take it off.”

”Hmm?”

Before Zhou Wang could react, Hua Suisui had already pulled down the strap on her shoulder and tugged down forcefully—
