Almighty Sweet Queen is Really Rich!

Chapter 638: Chapter 638: Damn, I Really Got It Right!

Shen Shuang was momentarily speechless, her eyes suddenly wide open with disbelief as she stared at the knife pressed against her neck.

Kn... knife?

A blade?

Shen Shuang was too frightened to laugh, her mind went blank for a moment.

What is happening?

Someone suddenly pointing a knife at her?

Shen Shuang stared blankly at Su Li and the others still seated at the coffee table, Su Li and the others were also bewildered for a moment.

No one had noticed as the person had rushed in quickly from outside the coffee shop at lightning speed.

The chilling air from the knife blade shot straight at her, startling Shen Shuang into a scream, ”What are you doing? Stop it! Help!”

There weren’t many customers in the coffee shop at that moment, sitting in clusters, bewildered by Shen Shuang’s scream.

The sudden change caught everyone off guard.

That unremarkable middle-aged man’s gaze was exceedingly fierce, like a hungry wolf on the hunt, his gaze bloodthirsty and vicious, causing everyone’s hearts to shiver.

The middle-aged man held the knife, aggressively pressing it toward Shen Shuang’s neck, cursing, ”Shut up, or I’ll slit your throat.”

Terrified, Shen Shuang whimpered, obediently shut her mouth, but her body couldn’t stop trembling wildly.

She didn’t know that moments ago she was proudly showing off, suddenly someone thrust a knife against her throat.

The sharp pain on her neck made Shen Shuang realize that this wasn’t a dream...

Shen Shuang thought about how she used to criticize some girls at school for pretending to be weak, only knowing to cry when faced with problems, and now that it was happening to her, she was so scared... her eyes filled with tears against her will.

Shen Shuang tried hard to stay calm and not faint, stammering, ”I... I have no grudge against you, why are you grabbing me?”

Hearing this, the middle-aged man laughed heartily, reached out to pat Shen Shuang’s face, saying, ”Ask your mother, and you’ll know. Besides, you have so much money in your hands, why not use some?”

Money!

It’s actually for money.

Shen Shuang, terrified and wanting to roar, realized that this person targeted her for money. In the upper-class society of Jiangzhou Prefecture, with so many wealthy people, why did he target her?

The middle-aged man signaled to several brothers who had entered, carefully grabbing Shen Shuang and heading toward the rooftop on the third floor of the coffee shop, speaking wickedly, ”Hit such a big jackpot, aren’t you happy?”

Shen Shuang shook her head desperately, saying, ”No, I’ve given all my money to my dad, I don’t have any money with me.”

The man spat insult at her face, ”Do you take me for an idiot? Your dad took tens of millions, but I saw you have money, spending several grand to rent the arcade, planning a trip to Europe with your friends, having money is great, huh. Eating Häagen-Dazs without finishing it, just throwing it away...”

Su Li watched with breathtaking amazement; this was clearly the consequence of flaunting wealth...

”I heard that rich people like to do charity to give themselves a good image. I’m even more regretful now, you either gave the money to your dad or donated it for charity, oh, little girl, you still have quite a bit.” The man chuckled meaningfully.

Shen Shuang wanted to cry but had no tears, her blank mind suddenly thought of the tall figure of that youth, Ji Tianshi.

The pain from the neck made Shen Shuang involuntarily recall Ji Tianshi’s words.

Her fortunes couldn’t hold so much money, so the best thing to do was to donate a million for charity to help poor families...

Suddenly, a wave of regret surged up in her heart.

Really, he was right!

She was now in danger of losing her life because of this money!
