Almighty Sweet Queen is Really Rich!

Chapter 568: Chapter 568: Was Su Li Once a Murderer?

Sister?

Zhou Rong couldn’t help but look up at the second floor, where unmistakable sounds of gaming were coming from, ”Isn’t your sister playing games at home? Are you talking about... Xiao Li? What’s wrong with her?”

After all, she had genuinely loved her daughter for eighteen years, and the moment Zhou Rong heard she was hospitalized, her heart immediately tightened.

”It seems she fell into the river, her whole body was soaked, and she kept shivering from the cold,” Chu Canyang said, growing increasingly dissatisfied with Feng Huaijin.

Isn’t Seventh Master Feng supposed to be so impressive? He can’t even protect his sister, and in his eyes, he’s completely useless, not as good as him.

Zhou Rong, hearing this, let out a sigh of relief and said, ”As long as there’s nothing major. It’s just that we have a wild pheasant stew at home, it’s almost done, and I’ll take it to the hospital to warm her up.”

Not having seen Su Li for a whole semester, Zhou Rong really missed her.

After speaking, Zhou Rong hung up the phone, went to the kitchen to check the pot, and a rich aroma of chicken soup wafted from the pot, making people want to swallow. Zhou Rong carefully ladled the chicken soup into a thermos and sprinkled some chopped green onions.

Just about to tighten the lid, the old lady came down, suspiciously looking at Zhou Rong, ”Weren’t you going to stew chicken soup tonight? Where are you planning to take it?”

Zhou Rong recounted the incident of Su Li falling into the water.

The old lady’s face suddenly turned dark, and she scolded, ”This chicken is wild, hard to buy, and not meant for my own grandchildren but for her? Zhou Rong, are you even more dimwitted than this old lady?”

Zhou Rong never got along with the old lady, carrying the thermos, she said, ”Mom, you know our Chu Family’s rise was because Mr. Mo Yu wanted Su Li to have a good life, so he guided us. She was also your granddaughter for eighteen years, a single chicken shouldn’t matter, right?”

The old master and the old lady had previously felt a bit guilty upon hearing that the Chu Family’s rise was all because of Su Li.

But as time passed, this guilt gradually faded away.

The old lady, seeing Zhou Rong about to take the thermos to visit Su Li in the hospital, looked even more unpleasant and blocked Zhou Rong firmly.

”What? You two still want to bring her back?” The old lady gritted her teeth, ”That little monster ruined Lianxin’s engagement party, she’s the enemy of our Chu Family.”

Having gotten hungry from playing games, Chu Lianxin came downstairs, just in time to hear her mother and grandma arguing, and immediately hid nearby to eavesdrop.

Little monster? Why is Su Li being scolded as a little monster by grandma again?

She’s not a little monster; she’s just a little bitch.

Hearing the old lady mention the engagement party, Zhou Rong’s face also turned cold, ”The person at fault for that is Chen Xiang! A wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

Even though between Su Li and Chu Lianxin, Zhou Rong favored her biological daughter Chu Lianxin, she wasn’t blind. Back then it was Chen Xiang who caused the trouble!

Seeing her daughter-in-law stubbornly unyielding, the old lady grew even angrier, made a move to knock the thermos from Zhou Rong’s hands, and sharply said, ”What’s so good about that little monster? Have you forgotten, twelve years ago when she was found, she was covered in blood, and it was someone else’s blood! She killed someone at six years old!”

”You don’t know how many kidnappers there were back then? And there were two boys in their teens, they couldn’t resist, let alone her, such a little girl. What is she if not a monster? She’s a murderer!!”

The old lady was so angry her head spun, spraying Zhou Rong with vehement words, ”Having such a little monster come home, one day she’ll end up killing us!”

Hiding in the shadows, Chu Lianxin’s eyes widened, what? Su Li was once a murderer?
